Maybe the fact that this 7th gen civics doesn't have to many aftermarket parts available, probably is one of the main reasons is so underrated. I have a red 04 em2 as well and they are slow but I love this car man so much, fun to drive. I enjoy your video so new sub over here brother. I'm planning on make a channel as well with my em2, we'll see. Definitely k swap is the way to go! Keep up brother great content. 👍
Bro there's tons of cold air intakes aftermarket headers and catbacks I even turbod my 01 ex coupe and fully built it supertech valve springs valves and retainers arp headstuds ycp low comp pistons darton sleeves king race bearings speedfactory h beam rods with arm rod bolts and many other things they even sell brackets so u can use nrg seats and what not
I had a 7thgen and it gave me the same problem as 30-40% of others. Head gasket leak. i currently have an 8thgen and its lovely you will be committed in a 8th si
Definitely a clean car, dude! I've got nearly 200k on mine. Bought it used with 136k. It's served me very well for the past few years I've owned it as a nice little run-around beater car. Mine's just about as clean as yours is too, since mine was a Vegas car most of its life. It's funny how often I get compliments on it. The one common thing people say is I've gotta throw a turbo in it. That sure would be nice, but that'd kill the reliability and I'm interested in seeing how long this little thing will last. Living at 6,000ft elevation in the Utah mountains and frequently driving it up to 11,000ft, it'd definitely be a hell of a lot more fun if it were turbo'd though haha.
I've got an '05 EX coupe. Special Edition in Magnesium Metallic. Just hit 214K miles a few days ago. Unfortunately, my head gasket started leaking on me around 200K and my valve seals started leaking on me. I plan on fixing it soon when I get the time. But she's been there for me everyday in the two years I've owned her. The first car I've learned to work on too. It feels great when people do compliment the ol' girl, especially since she's all stock. Great car though. I'll K swap her when I get a second car.
what are the symptoms of gasket leakage? i had to replace camshaft sensor other day cause of some oil build up god knows how longs its been in there though
@@tek6303 On these Civcs? Overheating (sometimes the temp gauge will steadily climb, then drop and repeat), no heat at idle and your coolant reservoir will keep overflowing. If the underside of the reservoir cap is coated in gunk, it's combustion gas mixing with the coolant. If it gets bad enough like mine did before I fixed it, you'll get bad misfires. If you had oil on your camshaft sensor, your valve cover or camshaft seal is probably bad. Or a really sloppy oil fill at some point.
Really clean and cool to see you sticking around with it! Not a fan of the tinted tails but that’s just personal preference. And yeah what you said about the slow/fast car comparison is also my view of things. Greetings from a em2 owner over here in Germany!
I got a red 02 ex coupe if you still looking. Looks better than this one. He definitely needs to change those faded out headlights. My interior is sootless I'm the second owner 250k
Your civic is clean af. I have one in black. I kept it mainly stock with a few strut bars and repainted the wheels and hub caps. Personally of the 7th gen I find the 2005 to look best. But my ass got stuck with an 02
i have the same honda civic 200k and perfect condition i would feel perfect driving anywhere i get alot of smurks that its too old i plan to put 400k or more
With 6th gens slowly dying, people are gonna start using the 7th gen platform a lot because it’s the last gen civic that’s so easy to kswap. K series was meant for this gen
So that's an ex, which means it has the D17a2, which also means the cats aren't on the exhaust manifold like on the dx and lx. Which raises the question, if you relocated them, why?
My dad was using the car and he installed a whole exhaust system that was catless. But then later on added the cats back on but in a different location
@@JZNC6 sadly check engine that is always ON is the only problem that I have with it and have no idea how to fix it... computer says its Lambda probe but both were replaced with new ones

How much it cost to manual swap
I'll never get rid of mine.

Yupp hope we get to see deep into 300k in ours. I asked about a turbo once but with the work for that I’d much rather start fresh with a good k swap💪🏽
Bruv! If I wasn’t living in England, I would buy the car from ya. Looks so well taken care of. These cars don’t brake.
New sub my boy, I got a 05 Em2 and my d17 just blew finna get to swapping for a jdm d17 , great video

Yo if you get it fixed make sure to only use honda blue coolant. If you use green you will blow it again.

luckily mine has 287k and rebuilt engine till and i bought it at 282k miles back in june
Nice 👍 I’m riding mine until this engine goes and then that k swap is happening for sure!

do you have a tune or anything? i want to get headers but im afraid to ruin my car since it is my daily
No I don’t have a tune and most headers don’t come with catalytic converters. So I have the cat’s welded further down and it works👍
Don't k swap until engine blows please. Those stock motors are one of the most reliable motors. Seen em go 400-600k miles when taken care of.
What wheels are those????
