I remember seeing this on the official Lego Star Wars site years ago. They also had some special gallery there, like their other ones users could submit their creations to, but this one was all only scenes from the movies re-created by users and then ordered correctly. The one for episode 3 was always "coming soon" years after the movie came out until the whole site got revamped and those were all done away with.
17 - 16 years since I first saw it as a kid growing up in Whitehaven, and it still holds up. I didn't know the guys behind Monty Python in LEGO were responsible for this, however. The more you know... Also, I just noticed this, but the music of this short has a very similar sound to Jeremy Soule's scores for the Star Wars videogames Bounty Hunter and Knights of the Old Republic. I didn't make the connection as a kid despite playing Bounty Hunter a lot on my PS2, but I wouldn't be surprised if he did the music for this short as well.
When i was a child i watched this every single day, probably i watched it three times a day. It was incredible stop motion short. And now with 21 years old it still seems magical to me
Wasn’t made as a figure yet in the time. This released in 2002. Our first Lando figure, which was the first black figure fun fact, released the year following in 2003.
I'm being honest here, but why would Leia tell the Imperials where Chewie and Luke were going if she wanted to save Han too? Other than the plot, obviously.
All the sound effects are from the Lucasfilm sound library, and the music is original to the film. So it's just like official "wookie sound 003" or whatever. Any similarity to somethingsomething Yahoo is likely coincidence.
@@tonymines01 Update: I actually found the game I was referring to. It was an old Yahoo game called Super Collapse. The sound effect at 1:53 is also used in that game. 😆

I remember that and loved looking at it as a kid. I even did a scene for episode 3. A shame it never happened.
Good times.
Oh my God! Thanks for bringing it up. I loved that website as a kid. I REALLY wish they did Revenge of the Sith too.
OMG YES! I remember that too! I remember always looking at the creations for The Phantom Menace, Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi
me too
I remember those days
wow, i remember watching this before UA-cam was around, thanks for re-uploading!
I know right you could only see it on the official lego studios website fun times
same here, when I was like 5
Oh my god I cannot believe this got remastered.
hi cowboy
I remember watching this on the lego site's star wars section when it was released there.
I watched this at least 100 times when I was a kid. It’s a huge inspiration for why I started doing my own animations. Thank you for sharing! :)
Still the best LEGO Star Wars video around!
I remember watching this on the LEGO site in like 1st/2nd grade.. I would watch it like every day after school
I still have the original .mov file of this dated 2004. It's great that you guys remastered it.

This brickfilm is great!! thanks for upload!! One thing: I wonder why Luke, Leia and Chewy compete each other. They want all to save Han!
They all get so obsessed with chasing the prize that they lose the plot XD
It's so beautifully remastered. Thank you!
What a joy it is to see it in this quality after 14 years.
Still brings a smile to my face
I cam't believe I remembered the name of this animation. I watched the original version almost a decade ago!
I remember watching this video when I was 6 years-old. Also, where’s Lando Calrissian?
Waiting in the Millennium Falcon.

I had to look this up again, as I now have the 20th Anniversary version of Slave 1.
One of the first brickfilms ive ever watched, if not the first.
Probably my favourite
Today on: Everybody but Boba Fett gets so caught up in chasing the prize that they lose the plot!
Then a year later they released cloud city, which had a lando figure
I used to watch this all the time. Quite quaint. Thanks!
childhood video
Such an inspiration, can't wait to make my own Lego Star Wars videos
Awesome! I finally found it!
perfection
Had the oppurtunity to buy a couple of the sets from this film a few years ago but didnt have enough money. Wonder where they are now.
The opening to this scares me at times
They've mastered it.
Well this is very nostalgic.
This more unusual than I remember.
This is so nostalgic
Hm... I feel like a good re-title would be 'Star Wars: Shenanigans on Cloud City'
I love the animation! So clean
They mastered it!
GOAT
that’s it that’s it. Stupid, you froze me huh? Fine. I’m going to beat Darkside. Yes I’m angry.😡
nostalgia
My childhood got remastered
This is so inspiring
1:25: GO GET EM BOBA FETT!😂
Michael mgf brought me here 😂
Tom Gerardin same!!;)
Nice
Good work!
nice
Always thought it was kind of weird how the 'Slave I' looks how it did when Jango Fett was using it.
thats becuase that was the only large scale slave 1 set at the time
Funny how Boba is flying Jango's blue Slave I from the Attack of the Clones line
0:32 if you don’t want to read any thing
I'm being honest here, but why would Leia tell the Imperials where Chewie and Luke were going if she wanted to save Han too?
Other than the plot, obviously.
Classic
Cool:-)
Good times
How do you do such good remasters!
Keeping the original, uncompressed, raw frames would be my guess.
20th anniversary sets
What is the sound effect that plays at 1:53? I remember hearing it in an old Yahoo game…

@@tonymines01 Ah ok! I could’ve sworn it was in an old Yahoo game. I can’t remember which one it was though

Why is Leia telling them where Chewy and Luke are going? I thought they were on the same side.
Wait, where was Lando curing all the shenanigans?
1:06
😂
Affair, eh?
