This was a tough one to record and I flubbed a couple lines. Just so there's no confusion: 27:05 "Kutum will outperform Nouver in PvP" I meant PvE, as mentioned before 28:44 "In the current PvP meta you'll get the most damage out of the AP offhand" I meant accuracy, as shown on screen edit: and "Whire Horn Bow" on the screen @ 2:20 is supposed to be "White Horn Bow" professional content creator here
there is new jewelry set of asula, that is awesome for beginners, especially for classes that rely on accuracy. Also as fore core, i use tri core atm, because i need that accuracy.
This is easily, and by far, the absolute best gear progression guide I've found. As a new player this video has been tremendously helpful. I've been looking for some semblance of direction after being told to just go full Heve + Beres. Hopefully the content isn't too outdated now as I will be following this actively, like right now lol
You are probably the most comprehensive BDO guide creator I've seen, and your videos have helped save me so much time and money. Just wanted to say thanks and I appreciate the effort you put into these videos :)
Freakin FINALLY!! A straight, simple to understand explanation of gear in BDO. An explanation using math!! I am so tired of these types of videos, and their justification of why you should do something is "because reasons" This guy gets it right!!!
I just wanted to let you know that your videos are really helpful. As a new player BDO has been easier because of your guides. Please keep making more videos.
Thank you very much for this guides! I started 1week ago and found you 2 days ago, since then I understand a lot more about the game. Thank you for your time :)
Apart from the ancient core set, the 1 witch earring and having used the ultimate reform stone on my chestpiece, I'm not too far off haha. Kinda nice as a new player to see that I haven't wasted as much money as I feared when I saw this guide came out. Thanks a lot for making this, there's quite a couple of things you mention that are wrong choices that most people are still making or telling others to do.
for accessories just start off by getting the asula items. they give as much ap as many duo and tri accessories. you can get them through drops once you're strong enough.
Thank you so much! This is the most useful gear video I've found so far for a new player. I don't know wtf I'm doing but i guess i'll be nicely geared doing it!
Very good video, clear and informative. I think it´s a good idea to update the progression guide and include the Asula accessory set recently introduced. Very powerful for minimal effort and enables you to completely focus on weapons and armor until very late into the game.
I really love your videos, getting all the informations i was looking for as a new player who started 3 weeks ago. I reached level 57 and really didnt know where to upgrade my gear and how far. After i watched your video i finally have a big to do list ;)
another thing if your lucky with the fine accessory box in the rewards section you could get a ogre ring which is a neck at 10 ap which is the same as the shultz at PRI
Grind according to your gear score. If you do all story missions now you should have a decent enough amount of accessories to survive with PRI or DUO gear. Asulas are now decent with monster damage, in the PRI DUO stages, You don't HAVE to have boss gear to be competitive, Go with whichever 2 enhancement crystal slot armor you prefer and based on your needs or wants. Everyone thinks you have to have all pen boss gear to be competitive. No if you have all that gear you're just in the 1%. which everyone wants to be. But no matter how geared you are. There will always be someone better than you in terms of gear / skill. So just settle with that and you'll have a better time in the game. Unless you uninstall for failing your 127th tet attempt.
Brent you seem to be experienced in BDO, i need your help. SEA BDO was just started bit less than a month. And people rarely sales anything above PRI, it seems like i need to enhance my gear by myself. Where can i grind for blackstones?. Currently i'm using Loure's lost armor set, should i still switch to grunil? Because Loure's armor set's gear score is still a bit better than +10 grunil set. One more thing, is Scarla Necklace worth investing? Because the overall stat of that necklace seems to be crazy good, especially since my main is warrior. Thank you in advance
Marco Aldo oh my lores is kinda low on the gear spectrum. focus now on making money to buy even pri gear. this means farm in areas where you can hold a spot, one or two shot monsters. even if it's like catfish or mash. get enough drops to make some silver and purchase pri if you don't have black stones. black stones drop equally amongst monster everywhere or you can buy them from market. trying to enhance gear at low levels is not recommended. I would grind out and get pri gears, then worry about enhancing. hell I haven't enhanced anything but boss gear bought all my tri stuff buying is cheap enough now you can easily make 20 - 50 mil a day simply grinding
Marco Aldo Just do some night vendor, relic scrolls, gathering and grinding. You'll have enough black stones and shards to enhance on your own. This way you'll also get ahead of the gear curve in your region. If you're smart about enhancing it can be more rewarding than purchasing from auction.
Really detailed and knowledgeable video! thanks helped a ton! New to bdo so this was great! Although, u didnt mention anything about Asula set in comparison. currently rolling with that xD
Do boss scrolls. You can exchange the hunter seals you get from them for black stones. Once you get your gear to a confortable point, they'll start accumlating quite quickly.
if you have skills that scale from your HP like rangers do the Whale earring is effective. That might be the reason. Saying that i still went red coral as ranger
Pretty sure ninja is one of the most accuracy hungry classes in the game. Just thought I should mention. Since leveling needs accuracy as well, I wouldn't ever recommend AP offhand for a ninja. Lots of low accuracy skills with many smaller hits requires an extreme amount of accuracy.
I leveled a Kuno and never missed a single attack against a non-purple mob. I imagine the stats are similar. I've never seen any evidence that accuracy is needed for killing mobs that are a similar level to the player.
thank you, fantastic timing. I just hit 56 a few days ago and was wondering what to do now. edit: what do you think about the jarette's accessory set for beginner/intermediate?
Hey is my first time contacting Morro. I watch your chanel. Your red ultima subscription dragon is awesome. I am eu player bdo and others game wise. Your jug poe hc was awesome adventure the way you did it, sorry to hear kitava bested ya, i only sc w8st my time ~paused around t6 maps on cyclone slayer sc sucks... The reason for this comment is 2 things. For begginers ultimatable green awakes is very big thing, pls add that somehow because it changes the awake decision making a lot. Also single crystal armors give more dp. Better awake ap + dp is not bad as well. Edit: Also as sad as it is for begginer accecories now just say Asula
Great guide, as always. Question, does the order matter when you get your intermediate armor to DUO before or after you use ultimate armor reform on them?
Red Nose Armor - I've seen some people say it is good for mid-range/long range classes, primarily ninja/kuno and tamer because it provides a regen effect that the class just otherwise doesn't have in the same abundance or readiness as other classes in game. Personaly I think the regen timer is a bit too long for the armor but i was wondering if you shared that opinion or if you think that you are better off just lugging potions around.
Question: Have you tried out Heve Helm/Glove or Rocaba Helm/glove in pvp for the survivability? Obviously Bhegs wins in 1v1 situations hands down but I find I enjoy RBF/Mass PvP a lot more with my Tet Heve pieces than my TRI Giath/bhegs simply because I live longer.
How much does the full Jarette's Set compete with your Intermediate Accessory recommendations? It's extremely easy to get (free) and has +15 hidden AP as a set effect.
yea and with the 100k you can buy the first necklage in the video ....at the lvl you will get the full set probably 56 100k are usseles,i spend more daily on my farming seeds( 3 milion) and im just skilled 5
Cool story but it still doesn't change the fact that the set, with the exception of the necklace, is worse or as good as (at best) the worst ap gear you get at starter levels but with zero upgrades for it.
Hey Morrolan thanks for the guide. Had a question regarding Krea vs Rosar. Like in the guide you said go for the one that sells the most. I main a witch and have managed to get my Rosar to +12 but the problem I'm finding is that there is not enough staffs that go up on the market to repair durability. Is it worth selling and switching to a Krea Staff?
+12 is just at the point where rerolling might cost u a little (small amount) I would advise if possible to keep the +12, and hunt down a +15 or Pri (krea or rosar on the market (should be about 20-25 million) removing bad RNG and waste of stones.
because the 200hp on dim tree comes from one slot instead of 2, and the alternative with red nose is just stamina whereas there's way better secondary stats on earrings.
The only other choice with Dim Tree is basically just "not 200 HP" whereas the other choice with earrings is "extremely well statted accuracy/AP blend" or "very high AP + the only item in the game that can currently raise the cap on your black spirit rage." In my opinion those things are way more worthwhile than a bit more health, especially in large scale fights.
how long would it realistically take for a new player to hit near the end game? And do you think it's okay to skip enhancing most things and just pre order on the MP?
For the stage inbetween beginner gear and boss gear , would you advise getting the lemoria set and the liverto weapon for the set bonus? and the asula set for accessories I guess?:o
Lemuria is probably not that worth it. That money is better off being invested into starting on boss gear. Since the set is not THAT good, and the armors only have a single crystal slot each.
Why would you suggest Rosar weapons over Bares weapons? I'm a newer player but Bares gives higher damage against monsters, which is desirable for leveling right? My guild + literally everyone in server chat told me to get a Yuria weapon which is PvP oriented, but I'm still leveling.
can you make video for newbies which talks about housing , workers , maids which pearl shop items most useful how to get and i just joined the game kept getting many items green bordered items kept selling them didnt know what to do with them
Quick Question: You said to choose between krea and rosar weapons based on availability in market, but I noticed the rosar weapon is going for around 100,00 as opposed to krea 30,000-40,000 and rosar appears to be superior statwise (from my untrained eye) . currently there are more krea weapons on market, so I should choose that? It also seems significantly cheaper option since they cost less, is that a factor to consider?
I do know it only through rumors, but the rosar is simple a weapons, which got the highest ap for a green one, like Yuria, too, second: Rosar seem to be getting you a bit more accuracy upgraded, especially on ultimate.
Hi there Morrolan, thanks a lot for the guides they have helped me a lot. I just started playing this game a few days ago. But I think I might have seen an old gear guide where Yuria was recommended. I currently have +15 on Yuria, should I stop and go for the Krea/Rosar? Or should I just continue with the Yuria? And why is it that Krea/Rosar is better than Yuria?
Yuria only has one crystal slot. Rosar at +15 has an extra AP over yuria as well. The damage to humans in yuria is negligible. If it's not a staff or shortsword, just sell the yuria and start enchanting a rosar since you should have plenty of stones from the event
Don't use Grunil or Heve armor, use Taritas or Steel Taritas and Roaring Magical Armor. That's 48 accuracy and trumps all armor sets until you get your boss gear.
all these guides are missing one huge update to the game that needs to be notated and that is the release of asula gear and its place in the progression line as its HUGE for starting/mid tier players !
This was a tough one to record and I flubbed a couple lines. Just so there's no confusion:
27:05 "Kutum will outperform Nouver in PvP" I meant PvE, as mentioned before
28:44 "In the current PvP meta you'll get the most damage out of the AP offhand" I meant accuracy, as shown on screen
edit: and "Whire Horn Bow" on the screen @ 2:20 is supposed to be "White Horn Bow" professional content creator here
@Morrolan TV 600 IQ BOIS. Joking mate. nice vid. :)
Morrolan TV it still should be black horn bow, 'cause maehwa and musa have big problems with acc, thats my only complain xd
there is new jewelry set of asula, that is awesome for beginners, especially for classes that rely on accuracy. Also as fore core, i use tri core atm, because i need that accuracy.

The spreadsheet was deleted
Thanks. Great timing too, with Blade's cool worker trick I can afford any gear I want now.
holy shit
haha this shit's all over the place
Delicious drama xD
memes are lit xD
What trick is that?
do we know how he did it yet
As someone who has only played for 2 months, this guide was a literal game changer. Thank you, Subbed.
1) Buy value pack
2) Sell ALL the stuff from grinding to Market Place
3) Buy all in Market Place
4) Enjoy the faster way to progress
Have fun camping the marketplace for a month and a half to get a few pieces of boss gear
sounds like a stupid way to play
Yea, good luck with that, see you on PvP after 3 years...
How much if you sell that on market?
You are probably the most comprehensive BDO guide creator I've seen, and your videos have helped save me so much time and money. Just wanted to say thanks and I appreciate the effort you put into these videos :)
Freakin FINALLY!! A straight, simple to understand explanation of gear in BDO. An explanation using math!! I am so tired of these types of videos, and their justification of why you should do something is "because reasons" This guy gets it right!!!
Literally an historic video. Thank you for crating all this cool content. 600 IQ
thanks mr chamber

Thanks for this video. I just joined the game 1 week ago and was confused in the market place. This has helped me to gear up properly.
I just wanted to let you know that your videos are really helpful. As a new player BDO has been easier because of your guides. Please keep making more videos.
Great video, man. Straight to the point, giving me the analysis of the data. More content like this would be awesome!
finally someone who uses timestamps in the description, i could subscribe for that alone.
Thank you very much for this guides! I started 1week ago and found you 2 days ago, since then I understand a lot more about the game.
Thank you for your time :)
Thank you! As a fresh player from 2017 summer sale all this info is great.
Apart from the ancient core set, the 1 witch earring and having used the ultimate reform stone on my chestpiece, I'm not too far off haha. thank you, first guide i founded that didn't start with having to reach for my credit card
thank u so much. this legit explains liek 100 things at once a "new" player wants to know! u got urself a new sub.
Oh UA-cam suggestions.
It's been a real blast from the past re-hearing about the old progression.
for accessories just start off by getting the asula items. they give as much ap as many duo and tri accessories. you can get them through drops once you're strong enough.
I updated the description when the patch hit. I don't think I'll do an entire video for them
I really love your videos, getting all the informations i was looking for as a new player who started 3 weeks ago. I reached level 57 and really didnt know where to upgrade my gear and how far.
After i watched your video i finally have a big to do list ;)
Thanks for the guide!! My buds are too busy to help me out with these, I can understand why, they shouldn't hold my hand all the time after all.
Man back when the game was just on top of the MMO world for me
Great video, thank you for the 4-way AP, DP, Evasion, Accuracy breakdown!
If you are a new BDO player ......this is the best place to learn :)
Returning player - absolutely digging your videos, recommending them to friends! Looking forward to more :D
This is priceless. You deserve a nice [cold draft beer] for that !
Thanks! Glad this game has dedicated content creators.
Thank you for this vid mate, me and a friend have been trying to find a guide thats up to date
Couldnt expect less from the 8th Smartest BDO Player. Great content as always Morrolan ;)
Great Video Bravo should be a must watch for returning players!
Ninja is going to want a Tadd and Kutum, Kutum is good for pvp because of the ignore resist that ninja needs.
another thing if your lucky with the fine accessory box in the rewards section you could get a ogre ring which is a neck at 10 ap which is the same as the shultz at PRI
also makes for decent cheap FS at low levels. The main issues is stoing the ones that came out without a pair.
Great guide! lots of information on DP and AP that I always wondered about! well done man! Keep it up! Subbed!
Best gear progression guide on the internet. Thank you very much :)
(you officialy destroyed the Grunil industrie) xD
Great guide. Honestly the video I've been looking for this past month. Subbed
thank you for this. we need more BDO content and this is perfect~
Awesome work thanks for all the time put Morrolan! < 3
181 tungrad earrings sitting on mp at min price... 2017 was the year man

what we really need is a guide telling us all the ways to get Black Stones TBH .... would really appreciate that ,
Great Guides btw ..
kill a monster..... theres a big event going on lmfao u get stones from like every drop
Do boss scrolls. You can exchange the hunter seals you get from them for black stones. Once you get your gear to a confortable point, they'll start accumlating quite quickly.
Cheers, this sort of noob-trap debunking is both gold and highly appreciated.
nice guide. cant wait for play this game in january. SeemsGood
Really found this useful bro....thanks!!!
awesome vid as a new player this helped out a ton
Thank you for the detailed guide! DA BEST!
every time you brought up a chart i felt like i was
learning maths at school again ;) good vid though
im a normal bdo player i see morrolan video i like before watching
God I'm so glad I stumbled upon this.
wow, this is amazing thanks so much! i love the level fo detail!
Just grind 2 nights for damn witch's earrings.. Good guide, (great voice) :) i am one of those steam sales people :P
I love these. Any plans on doing updated version of the workshops video?
if you have skills that scale from your HP like rangers do the Whale earring is effective. That might be the reason. Saying that i still went red coral as ranger
Great video mate best one sow far:D
Morrolan , your youtube videos are awesome , keep up good work :)
Musa should always use black horn

edit: what do you think about the jarette's accessory set for beginner/intermediate?
You talked about there being a quest in Valencia which gives you an item equal to a PRI Mark, which quest is that?
Brilliant guide. Thx =)
Awesome video!
Edit: Also as sad as it is for begginer accecories now just say Asula
hey Butcher, a lot has changed for sure and I will probably make a BDO 2018 gear guide a few weeks from now :)
Great guide, as always. Question, does the order matter when you get your intermediate armor to DUO before or after you use ultimate armor reform on them?
Good stuff bro !
+1 sub here.. good depth to the guide too.
Whew, I could become a real eBay master from this game
How much does the full Jarette's Set compete with your Intermediate Accessory recommendations? It's extremely easy to get (free) and has +15 hidden AP as a set effect.
Brendan Murphy sell jarette to buy other accessories 😏
You can't sell them they are bound stop commeting if you dont know what about he is talking
You can vend them for 100k each which is better than using them with the exception of the necklace
yea and with the 100k you can buy the first necklage in the video ....at the lvl you will get the full set probably 56 100k are usseles,i spend more daily on my farming seeds( 3 milion) and im just skilled 5
Cool story but it still doesn't change the fact that the set, with the exception of the necklace, is worse or as good as (at best) the worst ap gear you get at starter levels but with zero upgrades for it.
the fear of not being able to resell a Liverto is why I roll boss alts the same class as my main. Just hand them down when you upgrade
200HP from earring is the same diffrence as Dim Tree vs Red Nose :)
i saw that too.
Thinking about it, if you survive with rednose long enough, the regen should make up and even surpass the extra HP...
Very nice video, thanks a lot for making it.
Why do you rate the 200hp on Dim Tree armor so highly but the 200hp from a pair of whale earring so low?
because the 200hp on dim tree comes from one slot instead of 2, and the alternative with red nose is just stamina whereas there's way better secondary stats on earrings.
Wow bro ty ty for info
How does this change with today's game? What's with hidden states getting revealed, and with grunil
ocaba sets getting unbound from a spesific piece?
What's your opinion on the Manos Necklace ?
how long would it realistically take for a new player to hit near the end game?
And do you think it's okay to skip enhancing most things and just pre order on the MP?
I have two crescent rings that I'm not using (using quest rings) should I sell them? try to pri them? sell them later when price goes up?
I owe you my life.
My guild + literally everyone in server chat told me to get a Yuria weapon which is PvP oriented, but I'm still leveling.
which is better nouver shield or kutum? also am using full jarette set from event , when should i replace them ?
can you make video for newbies which talks about housing , workers , maids which pearl shop items most useful how to get and i just joined the game kept getting many items green bordered items kept selling them didnt know what to do with them
I am having problems getting sharps, hards, and concentrated stones. Any ways to get them efficiently?
I'm a total noob on my first character, a warrior. Is the Vangertz shield worth getting over the Shield of Concentrated Magical Power?
can you take a screenshot of an example of each type of gear? im intermediate i want to see what a whole intermediate gear looks like.
When should I go from PRI Yuria to anything Liverto for pve? 57 war
I do know it only through rumors, but the rosar is simple a weapons, which got the highest ap for a green one, like Yuria, too, second: Rosar seem to be getting you a bit more accuracy upgraded, especially on ultimate.
what about jarette's set thats given to newbie players? how does that compare since the AP is hidden?
so im a bit confused, flat AP vs dang again humans, how does it scale?
like a ring with +5AP and ring with +5 damg to human
What about jarrette's jewelry and other quest jewelry? They give more stats than duo Bares most of the time... Why should I use Bares?
Thank youuuu 😁
whats your thoughts on Rocaba+Grunil
Andrew Yu what event? :P
Blackstone drop event and blessing of Kamaslvia.
If you've already got the Yuria at +15 it doesn't matter too much. I wouldn't start over unless you feel like you really need that extra crystal slot.
If I do decide to change, isn't Rosar better than Krea? It has slightly more AP
Don't use Grunil or Heve armor, use Taritas or Steel Taritas and Roaring Magical Armor. That's 48 accuracy and trumps all armor sets until you get your boss gear.
I don't know if that accu is worth it compared to more AP and the extra crystal slots..
I'm playing a wizzard 59, will it be worth getting two duo red coral earings, since i don't have the money to buy tri, i have two blue atm
so the weapons given to me on main quest even though they are blue i should still get a green rosar or krea?
all these guides are missing one huge update to the game that needs to be notated and that is the release of asula gear and its place in the progression line as its HUGE for starting/mid tier players !
it's right there in the description :)
What are your thoughts on replacing Bhegs + Giath for Rocaba on high acc classes like wizard?
dont
