That's exactly why I prefer the tele, a bit smoother... funny how we can objectively find characteristics of each of them but those same aspects make us like one or another differently!
For all intents and purposes, identical. Like, 95% the same even head to head. And if you simply heard the songs live or recorded, you wouldn't know the difference. So play whichever one you like best!
I’m politically incorrect. I don’t care for the woke movement. I’m gay for mayer! It all sounds the same! I have the silver sky core and Omjm, I have ts10, blues breaker, aqua puss, etc…. No matter what, it all sounds the same in the mix. We are all people and all the same but different! Just play and be happy!
Both sound good but I prefer the Strat. Little bit more bite to it.

Tele is fatter and more direct sounding... Strat is a lot warmer and snappier, strat seems to have more top end too
I definitely agree with fatter, but to me when I’m playing the strat seems more direct. Like the attack. Also less lows.
