Lol yeah, "an excuse to play Kurtrus". It's such a cool card. I've lost to it a couple of times and it's really cool to see off meta decks every once in a while.
Ill keep on saying this: It makes absolute 0 sense that Warrior, which was mainly one of the excavate classes in the badlands expansion following the lore of the 2 different gangs (one which excavated and the other which was Highlander), got the only viable highlander reward and probably one of the most stupidly broken card in HS history while all other HL cards are situational, niche/fringe cards with maybe the exception of DH, which is indeed a cool mechanic but should've had its damage increased to 16 a while ago after the release of the miniset, cause right now its still just laughable when you compare all the HL cards to Brann *shivers*. Brann was a mistake and the game hasnt been the same since warrior meta settled where whenever you get one of those matches it would just be in your best bet to concede and spare your time and sanity.
also that card alone made highlander warrior a real thing, i'll argue that Kurtrus isn't that good of an HL card by itself although the others kinda all suck, the priest one COULD be interesting in a big deathrattle priest archetype but since it's highlander it wouldn't be as consistent as a non reno version
While you're mostly not wrong, New Alexstrasza is actually really strong, and I just have to say that before I move onto "and Deepminer Brann and Unkilliax were mistakes"
theres alot of cool things that dont ever happen in standard because the devs refuse to do their jobs ans balance it. imagine still giving blizzard money in 2024...
yeah that card is a must in every reno deck now, in wild reno priest i often get both razas out of that, either that or they start in my hand or they are the last 2 cards of my deck, but pretty much yeah
Thank you man for this video becasue I was literally dying for help to find any good highlander DH deck nowadays and also I was bit scared cuz this is quite expensive deck to craft. Now I can say I have a blast I love Karthus in this deck he's mostly good option to play. Thank you! and keep it going you're doing grat job to community, also love your mage SIF mage deck that I also created week ago.
I had just played a reno DH deck earlier this morning. Went 2-1. Then I see this upload! It definitely throws people off. Not a common deck in the ladder
I have been brewing around a TON of decks using combinations of pozzik and griftah to stuff my opponents hand and slow down their combos. you can actually find REALLY good hand interferance in every class right now, maybe demon hunter needs this treatment with the highlander.... hmmmmm
