    Motorcycle specialist teaches how rolling a stoppie on a bike involves balancing on the front wheel with the proper amount of front brake control in this tutorial. This is a advance riding skill, also known as endo, that is dangerous so safety gear is a must have. Good sticky motorbike tires such as Michelin or Dunlop tires and good brake pads are a must have. Motorcycle riding should be taken seriously, always wear proper protective gear including a riding helmet, motorcycle insurance, good tires inflated to proper p.s.i. A motorcycle specialist should do all motor maintenance and repairs on the bike, suspension, and parts.

      But I feel stoppie training would help with practical emergency braking so much

    • @user-dx6kg4gu2m
      @user-dx6kg4gu2m 6 місяців тому

      @@krisswolf2011I thought the same thing I can rool decent stoppies unfortunately they are nothing like real life stopping . For a stoppie you lean forward and hit the breaks hard to lift the rear wheel . To slow down you gradually hit the breaks harder and harder trying not to lock up .
      I stop much harder and pull my break in a lot more slowing down then on a stoppie but the stoppie I get on the breaks a lot faster and that causes the bike to go up . A good way to lean to stop is to go on a long empty street and practice stopping and a good way to lean to stoppie is go on the same street and practice stoppies . If you use your stoppie technique in real life you can have a very bad day

    Very informative video 🤘🤘. I run a 03/04 636 with 06 636 forks brand new Shinko Verge 2 front and rear with racetech springs rated for my weight front and back that was installed by a AMA flat track racer/tech so the work done was by someone legit. I also have 07 zx10 calipers and rotors. Keep in mind this bike sat for over a year before this problem I'm having. I use to roll good basic stoppies 20-30ft from the top of first, but I had a fork that leaked, fixed that took it to the lot after a year of it setting and my bike has had no front brake power and the front doesn't dive like it use to (did the old zip tie trick and the forks aren't bottoming out). It takes at least 5-6 seconds to stop from the top of 1st and the rear tire never leaves the ground, with brake pulled all the way to the bar. I've since changed pads, fresh motul 660, honed the rotors to remove any fork oil or grime but I have yet to hit the lot since that's been done. Vut now every 3 or 4 days the front master losses pressure (Stock Brembo 16 off an R6) and has to be re-bled at the lever and then it works fine. Could my issues be master cylinder related or preload, compression, rebound related, or maybe low fork oil related? I've only seen one drop of fork oil on the throttle side tube only not anywhere like the floor or bottom of the fork, the OEM seals are maybe a year old with a few lot sesh's on them. I had a dude change my comp and rebound at the lot one day when my stoppies were a mess (keep in mind I had leaking forks and all, and assuming the pads were soaked in fork oil), and its really never been the same since that and the fork seal problem. Or could the rotors be took far gone from the fork oil? Also what compression and rebound are you running on yours? Stock settings? I think I may set the comp/rebound back the factory clicks and see what she does. Also what weight of fork oil would you recommend? Wouldn't mind to hear your input. 🤘🤘🍻

    for now i'm just waiting to get my motorcycle license sent to me and for my grom so for the moment i only have the experience when i did wheelies and stoppies on my bicycle over a decade ago and wheelies weren't a big thing for me but stoppies always scared the shit out of me because i felt like you can control a fall much better when you wheelie, with a stoppie there is just a way higher chance to go head first into the ground.

    So I was telling myself to never try stoppies because there is no safety net. Well ended up trying anyway. I went out today trying to do rolling ones because I have been doing basic stoppies for awhile. For the life of me I couldn’t get it to pop up and roll. I’m a bit shy to just hit brake harder and then release a bit. So to be clear, you have to kind mash it for a quick second to bring it up, then release? I watched you video after attempting myself. Also on a SF Grom, good tires, good fluid, steel braided line, factory master.

    I have no rear brake. Stoppies are my only party trick until I replace it. My bike has a monster engine break, and Dual Brembo's. I can stop safely.

    Just got the Michelin power gp's 50/50 trackday tires, and was suprised when max breaking at 90mph trying to bring up the rear, and the front tire squeals slightly and feels to be sliding a little, even after many iterations so tire is very hot, psi is set to bike specs (36 psi front), it will start to bring up the rear eventually at around 40mph, but I'm a little reluctant to hit the brake harder

    I came here hoping you would explaine why the rear wheel turns too the left or right while your up rolling the bike only stays straight like 1 outtta 5 stoppies I’m thinking I’m not quite high enough or maybe my body position maybe my arms aren’t locked I can’t figure that one out but when I manage to keep the bike straight I’m rolling !

    What a great video. Thanks for posting this...Before any session warm up your tires (yeah i know but i had to say it) and wear at least a back protector, cause you don't want to break two thorax backbones and stay still in bed without being able to move for 47 days

    Brian can you do a revised how to wheelie. On throttle control once its popped. I can get it up but it goes right back down within the same breath. Also I have a 07 Zx6r and I want to switch to a 1 finger clutch lever. What do I do with the Clutch sensor wires on my stock clutch

    • @ASSASIN309
      @ASSASIN309 6 років тому +1

      expose the wires and twist them together and it will get rid of needing to pull in the clutch lever to start the bike, as for the wheelies once you pop the clutch you gotta stay on gas just a little bit (not to much or you'll loop) that way the bike is still on gas and it will hold the wheel up

    • @davidambra1573
      @davidambra1573 6 років тому

      ASSASIN309 awesome thanks fam. It seems like every time I get the wheel up. Either I get shook and back off the throttle or I tend to lean forward onto the gas tank for some odd reason. I’ll try keeping steady throttle on while it’s up. Thank you

    • @ASSASIN309
      @ASSASIN309 6 років тому

      also cover the exposed wire with electrical tape or something lol and im usually always leaning back when i do wheelies it kinda feels better.. helps bringing the bike to balance point easier, goodluck!
