Too many judge him by the way he lived. BUT. It was his own life, so nobody elses business but Gregorys own. He didnt live so good, but still he wrote all his production, never lost his lovely voice, his shows were perfect, also his sense of riddim jus perfect. Never a mistake. No wonder that Time magazine voted him, while still alive, to be the most exquisite reggae singer of all times. ( my personal favorite still Dennis Emmanuel Brown, but that's jus my own business, nobody elses...lol ) so RIP Dennis and Gregory

Saw him make an entrance at the awesome all-day reggae festival Brighton u.k 1996.stanmer Park.jacket strewn over his shoulder,shirt half buttoned.and then those vocal chords let rip. Called my son gregory.if the fetus can feel/hear those Chinese being played.he was immersed in pure unadulterated raw roots/dancehall/lovers rock and a lot of gregory isaacs.when isaacs was released from ja penitentiary he recorded a wealth of Chinese for a lot of ja producer to get funds and fast and thank jah music is immortal if man is not.
