I like how all the characters you see walking in Bully have personality and actual names, not like in Gta. I also like how the seasons change. Also, the world is smaller but it feels like a real small town
Neki Tamo Balkanac, you can see two of the same char in Bully, the game tries to make it not happen (aside from the asylum in free-roam, where it will just be the same orderly multiple times even though they had different orderlies they could've used instead), but it still can.
Kid "Please stop bullying me man!" Bully "Nah little wimp" The Kid who got bullied mom "ITS BECAUSE OF THAT GODAMN BULLY GAME ISNT IT!?! ROCKSTAR YOU'VE DONE IT FOR THE LAST TTIIIMMMEEEE!"
I agree with the music part. I still do prefer the radio (the ost for Bully is good though) because I just love licensed songs, mostly the VCs having my favorite songs of all time (introduced them to me), namely 80s songs I love namely. But I definitely do get a little bored with hearing jack squat for ambiance when not in a car. But the one thing I agree with him is that (while at least in VC I like almost all the songs at this point) it's definitely a pain in my ass when nothing good is on so then I surf through the whole stations selection to find nothing I like, it's a bitch. Especially in SA because at least for me on my PS2 the songs on a stations WON'T move on unless I either listen to it or save and even that doesn't work sometimes. Yeah, like he said, they also loop which is tedious even for the songs I do love
@@ВалерияСацкая dude. GTA 3 was the foundation for all the other sequel GTA games. If it weren't for GTA 3, we would be missing the awesome gameplay that we have in GTA today. Learn to respect old games, kiddo.
I agree with everything that was stated in this video, but we really shouldn't be comparing Bully and GTA. They're two entirely different beasts. Nonetheless, a Bully sequel is needed. More so than a GTA sequel. And wether "Bully 2" will match up to the original is for us to decide in the (hopefully) near future.
3) I think this is one of Bully's strongest points. Most characters (I wouldn't say all, just most) feel unique and have their own charm, even if they are never featured in the storyline or side missions. Even characters from the same clique, despite sharing interests and stuff, still manage to show some differences one from another. I think the social system was the main reason that R* tried to make the peds somewhat interesting or worth talking with. Also I'm up for a flamewar as long as you only bring up things that i have said within the past 6 months.
Well yeah. Bully is a smaller game so you can give more focus to all the characters. GTA usually involves a huge open world so expecting unique NPC's would be kinda ridiculous.
The voice acting is fucking golden and even over a decade ago as a depressed as shit 11 year old it made me laugh and gave me an escape from real life.
I'll even argue that Bully has better fighting gameplay. Sure, GTA 5's fights look more realistic, but it's barely ever used for missions & guns easily take over the majority of missions. Hell, not even in free roam. Knock out 2 to 3 pedestrians, & the cops are already on your ass. So fighting anyone in GTA is pretty much pointless & not fun, unless your fighting your friends online.
ABSOLUTELY. I was actually waiting for SWEGTA to bring up this point bro. Bully has the best fighting style in any of the rockstar games that were made. You literally learn how to fight and unlike San Andreas where you go to a gym and spar the guy 1 time and unlock a whole new fighting style, Bully actually made learning how to fight a very fun activity. You get to learn how to wrestle because of gym class, the old homeless guy teaches you like 6 of 7 different moves when you give him the radio, and you get to go to the towns boxing gym and learn how to box. Bully is such a unique game of it's own that's why Im hoping that Rockstar are taking long to release part 2 because they want to put just as much thought and effort into the game as they did with Bully 1. Red dead Redemption 2 took very long to release but honestly rdr 2 is a very fun and enjoyable game. I hope Bully 2 is the same thing man
The argument of the characters is the strongest one in my opinion and it’s completely right Also Bully soundtrack is great because it’s original and catchy
Why should a game like San Andreas within 4 cities have characters you recognise as an adult with no socialism as most of your time is spent murdering people, it would make sense in a school as you’ve been established for more than a year and you know the personality and face of everyone at the school but the same logic can’t be applied with gta
Honestly I agree, I just don't think I can compare the two. It's a smaller world with a different type of experience. It's like comparing GTA to Yakuza.
1. Seasons - in Bully the story starts at fall, then it turns winter, spring, and, eventually, summer. GTA is stuck with summer and it really, like REALLY sucks. Only in San Andreas and V we see some kind of winter - during one or two missions. When seasons change, you really feel like the time in game is going. The game jumps from winter straight into spring with snow nowhere to be seen and with green leaves on trees - you realize that characters have their own lives too, they're not totally controlled by the player. Actually, it would be awesome if they could change their clothes (not just in winter) or even age when the story progresses. Say, you start the game as a 15-year old Jimmy and when the game ends, he's 16, he has grown up a little bit, his voice has changed, etc. Would be really cool. 2. World interactions. Open or close a tap, pick up a fruit or an umbrella (you can use it after picking up actually) - this is what I like in Bully. When you can interact with the world, it feels more alive and it feels like actual world, not just a piece of scenery like in GTA. Jimmy can hide in lockers/garbage bins, make water baloons, pull fire alarms, pick up fruits and eat them, use toilets, drink from water fountains, climb trees and so on. What can you do in GTA IV - oh, great, you can check how much money you have with an ATM (even though you can always press T and see the exact amount on the screen). Yes, Bullworth town is smaller than Liberty City or Los Santos - but it offers you more objects to interact with.
Jeez, the snow in GTA5 was such a fucking cocktease. When I saw that screenshot of snow North Yankton in Game Informer I got REALLY excited to have a place like that to explore only to find out we get to go there all of twice in the entire goddamn game. I was looking forward to things like snowmobiles but nooooo. As for the second I agree, that's also why I like Saints Row 2 a lot, there's a lot you can actually interact with and you can even damage parts of the world.
In GTA IV you can throw objects like cups of cofee, bricks and bottles, the cars have the most realistic deformation ever seen in a rockstar game, the ragdoll is funny, you can find people you can talk with,do side missions or random approaches, the police oa is impressive, they don't mind if you talk to them, but if someone shouts at you and gets close, they are going to tell him to get away, the story its a masterpiece, and personally,i like the guns and the effects they produce. Bully its the best game completely free roam with no violence i've ever played, but not the best, not even compared with gta.
his point is that when bully was released it gave us vibes from each generation..of course it had many things futuristic things like spud gun and spud cannon
3:30 "But we never saw a reaction quite this strong to a game getting released by Rockstar" uh hello ? Manhunt 1 and Manhunt 2. that's the sad truth Because i really want manhunt 3 to be released with no Controversy or Dumb Censorship's. Manhunt 2 Got Seriously Dumbed down by the censorship. and the second game even got banned in the UK.
Man I love the Grand theft Auto series so much but if i ever got the choice between gta6 and bully 2 U know that I'll jump right into bully 2 super fast(I just prefer bully)
Same, I know everything about GTA 5, the map, coding, generic stuff like that that I probably don’t even know about Bully, but GTA just doesn’t do what Bully does for me. The CLOSEST thing that I could probably prefer (this is a huge probably) would *maybe* be GTA 4 because of its physics and options during gameplay, that’s a huge probably tho
1) I agree on that one. 2) I agree... to some extent. Because I think there needs to be GTA VI as much as there needs to be Bully 2. 3) Well... that's tough for me to decide. Because I love Bully's characters as much as GTA's. But if we talk about the main protagonist, my personal fav. is CJ from San Andreas. And of course, how can you forget Big Smoke baby? ! 4) Apart from Vice City and San Andreas 'cause those records were awesome. But yeah, I do respect the fact that Bully had it's own original soundtrack composed by the one and only, Shawn Lee. 5) I didn't have any problem with the fact that the latest GTAs were set in the present. In fact, I liked how GTA IV introduced the use of phones and computers. This is just my personal opinion. I think both Bully and GTA are excellent in their own ways. Btw, nice video! 👍👍👍
this video is just to flame the community. Move on. This guy gives 5 "opinions" that is not even facts and talks about generic stuff. this videos was made to give the bully comunity a Home to Go.
I played bully and I’ve played GTA , love them both , although If I had to play only one game forever I’m going with GTA. Don’t get me wrong tho Bully is amazing !
I think GTA is a better game because there are so much more things to do. But as for atmosphere, immersion, and charm, Bully takes the medal. While there is a lot less to do in Bully, there is enough uniqueness in each side mission or main mission. GTA is usually get this, kill him, drive me by rinse and repeat. I love both series not saying either franchise is bad.
I love the atmosphere in bully. To me that town always had a kind of creepy, off kilter mysterious feel to it, like there was something below the surface or it coukd suddenly turn into silent hill hell town any second and all the inhabitants were just whistling past the graveyard. The era-less aspect you mentioned likely plays into this on a subconscious level!
I can tell you put a ton of thought into this, amazing job dude. The soundtrack, I still remember to this day. I gotta check Amazon to see how much it goes for.
You forgot to mention that there are so many more interactions and reactions with other characters and there are so many game mechanics that you can just goof around trying various things (I love throwing marbles on the floor of the Boys rooms and then sounding the alarm or entering at night to the school dressed as a ninja and trolling the monitors)
I like it when you mention the setting of time in Bully, I totally agree with you. The concept on Bully is so much more powerful that you cant easily forget about things happened in Bully.
The thing with Bully it has a more interesting story and setting. Instead of just being another game with ghettos and thugs it's a game with schools and towns and bullies. While their are gangs in the game like GTA games, they're more like Cliques. All of them are unique too, they all have their own theme.
1): I don't agree that Rockstar setting GTA in modern times is a creative crutch. I think they generally do a good job satirizing and commenting on current events, and each GTA is generally regarded as a reflection of the time it was made in. But that said, I don't mind Bully specifically deciding not to follow that same exact formula. 2): I'll agree that Bully's soundtrack is better than GTA's because it is unique. I still love the main theme for Bully. 3): One criticism I have of Bully is that, while the open world and cutscenes are great, the quests are generally pretty generic and forgettable. I'll give GTA as a series a bit more credit for mostly having better designed missions.
+Genericbrandname My only gripe with Bully is that they repeat the main theme way too much, but aside from that, they have a great soundtrack. I just wish they had a few more tracks.
@@WarriorDan That’s because if the Player isn’t doing anything it just repeats, but even then it’s not like people get tired of hearing because of the volume and how catchy it is anyway
Time is a good thing to know especially in a game like bully since you actually compare that time to real life no time equals confusion and to many things leading up to nowhere
1.Bully doesn't really talk about bullying really, it's just surface level, it's just "bullying is bad." And "stick up for yourself." 2. Yeah....k,what does this have to do with bully being better than gta? I agree with you but this has nothing to do with the topic at hand. 3. I don't think you can give every single npc a character in gta, in bully your in a small town, while in all the other gta's your in a giant city. I would also say that the main characters and side characters in gta are better than the side characters and main characters bully. 4.i agree with you. 5. I don't think you can really speculate on what time period it is, I feel you can easily find out just by going to certain locations or looking at the cars. I'm not some gta fan boy, I like both gta and bully, I just wish you would've brought better points.
I 100% agree I’m honestly tired of rockstar kissing gta ass I want a bully too so bad and I’m tired of people getting hyped up for the next gta when it’s going to be more of the same
Man, I agree with you on the music, that music that plays just when you're wandering around in free roam in Bully is stuck in my head, but in a good way! I also love the different songs that play depending on which Clique is being hostile towards you.
Ok I'll admit; Bully is better than GTA, BUT Bully doesn't top Gta San Andreas. And I'm sorry for those who disagree but this is my opinion. Bully is close but it's not close enough to San Andreas Edit: Again, yes Bully is able to top Gta but Gta San Andreas is a little better than Bully, mainly due to the fact of it being probably the best ps2 game I've ever played and Bully being the second best ps2 game I've played Edit2: Nvm Bully tops all Gta games. San Andreas is 2nd best ps2 game in my opinion Just had to watch the whole video and not spam a comment as soon as possible
gta sa was one of the greatest GTA games and every other game is just a re-skin of the same thing every year allover again but Bully had a fresh idea that can save rockstar if they release a sequel
I never thought San Andreas was all that interesting of a game. Some of the characters were kind of cool, but I wouldn't even rate it my favourite GTA game, let alone better than bully.
gta san andreas is kinda like old school rap it's good, it holds up even to today and new rap is kinda dull but it's sometimes catchy kinda like gta v and it's humor
I would say bully tops LCS, VCS, and 5 but none of the other gta is better than bully. Ps i never played gta one or 2 so i cant actually say if they are.
@@0x00Fyou um no gta is just a reskin im sorry to bust your bubble but a reskin is something like COD or battlefield games that literally dont change at all or if they do very little but each gta is a different experience.
Before watching the video, here are my 5 reasons 5. More realistic story, (more likely to happen in real life than anything in gta) 4. More realistic in general (little things such as passing out at certain times, having a curfew, getting detentions etc make the game have a real personal connection) 3. More character interaction (you can talk to anybody whether it be flirting, taunting, or small talk.) 2. Better combat system (Bully had a better combat system because if you get in a fight, it's not like in gta where you just punch over and over, you can learn a variety of different moves and combos that make the game a lot less repetitive) 1. Variety (you can be a part of any group you want, and feel like your actually a part of it. Your not chained to one style of character, you get a taste of what every group has to offer) *NO SPECIFIC ORDER*
Gta and bully are different games some similarities but still so I think comparing them or saying one is better makes no sense since they have different genres different everything in gta you rob people you kill people and do anything while in bully Jimmy tries to stop bullying and make the school a better place the game has very different activities
its a bit old to respond but idc 1) it is a good point but i feel like gta teaches you respect, losing loved ones, betrayal on a much deeper level than bully (in my opinion) and if you think about it not getting into gangs and drugs because in gta you lose something or someone and that consequences of your actions 2) it needing another game makes it no better we are comparing the games and gta does give you something fresh every time stories drastically change and missions differ from tanks to gang wars to drug to helicopters to submarines 3) ok bully is a school with a small town you can remember people you see every day but not people you see 1 or 2 times its a city or multiple cities 4) personal preference 1< 100 songs you cant say one is better 5) ok this is the strongest point but i get confused with every reference from the 90s 80 and 2000s i think ive done a good job countering your points
Bully has better fighting, When was the last game crowds come over you when you spear and a ground and pound to student while someone reports you to a prefect and you can also beat up people in the crowd, also my favorite weapon is the itching powder, that is so hilarious even the animation and screams are soooo good.
I should correct you a bit, GTA did actually have original songs. The soundtrack for GTA 1 and 2, as well as a few Radio Stations of GTA 3 (Head Radio, Lips 106 and a great chunk of Game FM and maybe MSX) + it's prequel were in fact made for those games. But truly, after the release of Liberty City Stories they licensed every single song in the game. That however doesn't argues with the fact that the music only plays in cars, so you won't really hear it that often during several missions, while Bully's soundtrack was made to be heard during missions.
Shawn Lee is a hell of a music genius I always preffered Bully over GTA because I was kid in the first time I played both games...and in the fact the bully dealt with kids in a school made me feel closer to what was going on in Bully
@SWEGTA I came across your channel a few days ago, and I freaking love it! Finally a bully channel, and you make the videos so well. I try to make a video on why Bully is better but it didn't turn out that well, so thank you for having a video like this! Keep up the good content!
This video doesn't make much sense to me. While I agree with most of your points, I don't think they make Bully better than GTA. 1) It makes sense for a game set up in a school campus with the protagonist being a student in said school to be about bullying. Whereas a game series titled "Grand Theft Auto" and set up in major cities and country sides in some cases are expected to be about crimes, gangs, murders etc. Doesn't make either game better than the other IMO. 2) Bully definitely deserves a sequel since it has none since its release, whereas GTA had many sequels. Still don't see how this makes Bully better than GTA. 3) Bully is much more smaller than any GTA game since GTA III, so it is much easier to make the characters more unique. Imagine the amount of work it would take to make every character in a GTA game unique. Doesn't make sense to me. Still I strongly agree with this point. 4) I agree with this point. Bully's soundtrack was badass. 5) Don't see why this makes Bully better than GTA. While it is fun to speculate and analyse the time period Bully took place, it shouldn't be a determining factor on which game is better. It is also worth mentioning that comparing both games is not fair since they aren't very similar other than the open-world aspect. Each game has its own unique features and both are extremely fun to play. With that being said, I really hope Bully gets a sequel.
I think the first reason is a little bit of a stretch. I like Bully more than GTA but I don't see why the amount of controversy it got would effect the quality either way. But beyond that small little things good video Sweg! Oh also blah blah blah generic insults blah blah blah.
Also when you say NPC’s in Gta V dont have character Ima have to call bullshit. Each character while some lines repeated have interesting things to say. Like Fallout 4 with NPC’s talking to eachother randomly, its always interesting to listen in. Ive even had some experiences where I will run into a npc and they talk about vice city
I like to add some things about GTA being the same thing -Evrey GTA game in the HD and 3D universe has a construction sight -has Bank heist in all HD and 3D games -Same cars, some added throughout the games
Bully feels like an actual like community and it feels more like real life in a way. Like you can get in the mind of troubled teens and it’s just great, bully is such an amazing game and I could replay it so many times and never get bored which I have. It’s perfect in my opinion I just want more
This has no reason to be controversial giving the fact that this is a very subjective matter since these 2 are very different games aimed at a distinct public. But anyways heres my opinion. 1. No one is buying a videogame as means of learning. If your worries are about the message games give to its audience, that’s what ESRB ratings are for, games are classified by taking for account the knowledge and personal values an average person of that age has. Activist and maybe you speak for that 1% that aren’t part of that average and misunderstand some of the games features, but in that case it’s better to prevent these occurrences by parents choosing whether or not it’s suitable for their children to play. Yes I know most people don’t respect this and most players are underage, but that’s each parent’s responsibility. By the way your sugar coating Bully, at the end of the day Bully is a violent game. 2. Yes Bully does deserve a sequel. But what utopia have you been living in that makes you think companies make games for fun and for the fans? We all know Rockstars going to milk that GTA cow dry. There gritty but how can we blame them, taking the matter into a psychological point of view, if Maslow's hierarchy of needs has taught us something is that humans are ambitious beings and seek to satisfy further needs than the current ones. That and because it’s the market, as you said it once SWEGTA, they’re going to throw a collectors edition at us at around 150 $ and where still going to get it day one. But I don’t complain because I don’t have the sufficient interest to do something more about it, my only grain of sand having is having it on PS2, buying it on digital on PS4 and getting platinum in order to have Rockstar notice in recent reports 1+ active Bully user out of millions of users. But I see this as hypocritical of your part since you dare to complain while you’re doing something similar with your channel. You seem like a pretty reasonable person but I believe the reason you aim to make a controversial topic videos like this one is for the sake of views since its title is clickbait worthy and not aiming towards the important stuff, like good content. Based on speculations and assumption, if there’s going to be an advancement on a Bully sequel it was going to be after RDR2, hopefully it does come to be true, if not good luck on making your thousand play-trou and one hundred edition of "Bully sequel new leak" after a random tweet is made by a user with twelve followers. 3. Yup I really loved running into people. 4. The soundtrack is the best! 5. SWEGTA 2018: “Bully is better than all GTA because time is up for interpretation”. You’re just making stuff up buddy, I mean yes but who cares? No one’s gaming experience was enhanced because of the fact they got to imaginary pick whether the game was taking place in the 80s or 90s. If someone were to actually take you series on your bold statement, do these things really make it up for the vast diversity in GTA? They are two very different things, wouldn’t surprise me if you did a video on "Bully is better than Final Fantasy". This is in no way a comparison video as implied, it’s just another one of your Bully praise videos, and you’re doing the same video countless times repeating the same phrases, yeah we know Bully is about standing up to bullies we heard you say it the last video and the one before that one. I hope you see this as constructive commentary and take up giving your channel a new turn and making it more diverse
6.) WEAPONS In every GTA game the weapons would be guns, melee, or explosives. But Bully has a wide variety of weapons like the slingshot, bottle rocket gun, spud gun, firecrackers, stink bombs, itching powder, fire extinguishers, trash lids, baseball bats, and even food. All these things you can use to take out your enemies, and sometimes people just use your fists because Bully has a good combat system. While GTA just has one button you can just spam to knock your enemies, because Rockstar knows you’re mostly going to be shooting them.
I agree with all your points, but I still hold San Andreas as the best, because It was made with console restrictions and they put so much in a game and say they could have added more, that just shows how ambitious they were.. Also the multiple GTA:SA multiplayers, like SA:MP, MTA. In my opinion, bully is going to stay as the second best Rockstar game, but hey, that's just my opinion.
1) I agree, Bully does teach you a lot more. 2) I agree, Bully is most deserving of a sequel. Simply put Bully needs a number 2 more than GTA needs a 6. 3) I agree, Bully does has much more diverse and interesting characters. Everyone you see on the street is an actual character, whereas mostly everyone on the street in any given GTA game are just generic, randomized copies of each other. However it is unfair to say that GTA has never done anything like this as GTAV does have random characters that you can meet on the street that you can interact with, and have no part in any missions as well. 4) I agree, Bully has a more memorable score than all of the GTA games. 5) I kinda disagree, while Bully was a little more imaginative with how it handled it's time period - or lack thereof, it does not beat GTA when it's set in a particular period of time like 80's Vice City. That being said, Rockstar will never revisit this idea since its more appealing to casual gamers to set all future GTA games in a modern day time period. Not to mention a GTA set in the modern age allows the devs to be able to inject a larger variety of dripfeed vehicles and shit into online for those casual gamers to buy sharkcards to afford.
Okay, I disagree with you but see where you’re coming from. I’m just gonna say it: GTA V is objectively better than Bully due to graphics, things to do, writing and gameplay. However, I definitely agree that miscellaneous characters in Bully are given waaay better backstories and attention than the ones in GTA. Although I think Bully falters in the main character personalities, and that GTA’s Michael, Franklin, and Trevor are way better written and designed. In GTA V, all the in-game brands and locations genuinely make you feel like you’re in this fictional state, in this fictional city, very immersive. In Bully, it just doesn’t feel the same for immersion. GTA Online I’ve played but don’t enjoy as much as being able to play as the three main characters in single player. So, yes, GTA V is better than Bully from a gameplay, graphics, and writing standpoint, but that doesn’t mean Bully isn’t one of my favorite games of all time. Very underrated game, hope it gets a sequel!
I’m gonna have to disagree with u I’ve had gta V since release date but after a year it became a boring title with poor writing and not much fun stuff to do character writing is awful realism is a force that’s been kicked in the balls like petey online is no where near as emersive as bully is infact me and my friends got bored of gta online after a month and barely played that much anyway
Greenhood 3000 I wasn’t talking about gta online. That game mode you can talk all the crap you want about. Gta single player is definitely the better mode though. I don’t think your points are valid though. Gta V has got great writing and believable and sympathetic characters, and I find it hard to run out of things to do.
No offense whoever finds this mean or some s*** bully is a great game but how come it didn't have a sequel but the gta series bully has no multiplayer the gta series have multiplayer

Also I'm up for a flamewar as long as you only bring up things that i have said within the past 6 months.
deadpoolXYZ I agree that the pedal are interesting, but I think the main characters and side characters in gta are better than bully's.
Jacob St.Clair compare Lamar to algie or earnest.
So much better than going to real school for me socially.
I hope Bully 2 is the same thing man
GTA V hand to hand combat is a bruh moment
GTA and Yakuza combined, without those crazy Heat maneuvers.
Best fighting game rockstar released was the warriors well for fist fighting anyway

The argument of the characters is the strongest one in my opinion and it’s completely right
Also Bully soundtrack is great because it’s original and catchy
@@chrisspeed270 man the whole video is biased af.
Why should a game like San Andreas within 4 cities have characters you recognise as an adult with no socialism as most of your time is spent murdering people, it would make sense in a school as you’ve been established for more than a year and you know the personality and face of everyone at the school but the same logic can’t be applied with gta

Actedstream 41 better characters in gta, a more interesting world, more stuff to do, I can go on.
Reptilian Lizard short list to be able to “go on”
Honestly I agree, I just don't think I can compare the two.

Bully is more innovative.

GOD NO HOW THE GTA SOUNDTRACK IS NOT BETTER THAN BULLY YOU MUST BE ON CRACK

Time is a good thing to know especially in a game like bully since you actually compare that time to real life no time equals confusion and to many things leading up to nowhere
1.Bully doesn't really talk about bullying really, it's just surface level, it's just "bullying is bad." And "stick up for yourself."

Man, I agree with you on the music, that music that plays just when you're wandering around in free roam in Bully is stuck in my head, but in a good way! I also love the different songs that play depending on which Clique is being hostile towards you.
I actually agree. I wish they made a game like this again. it would be such a new breath of fresh air compared to what normies want to consume.
Ok I'll admit; Bully is better than GTA, BUT Bully doesn't top Gta San Andreas. And I'm sorry for those who disagree but this is my opinion. Bully is close but it's not close enough to San Andreas
Edit: Again, yes Bully is able to top Gta but Gta San Andreas is a little better than Bully, mainly due to the fact of it being probably the best ps2 game I've ever played and Bully being the second best ps2 game I've played
Edit2: Nvm Bully tops all Gta games. San Andreas is 2nd best ps2 game in my opinion

gta sa was one of the greatest GTA games and every other game is just a re-skin of the same thing every year allover again but Bully had a fresh idea that can save rockstar if they release a sequel

I say Red Dead Two not the first game but the second one definitely
Before watching the video, here are my 5 reasons
5. More realistic story, (more likely to happen in real life than anything in gta)
4. More realistic in general (little things such as passing out at certain times, having a curfew, getting detentions etc make the game have a real personal connection)
3. More character interaction (you can talk to anybody whether it be flirting, taunting, or small talk.)
2. Better combat system (Bully had a better combat system because if you get in a fight, it's not like in gta where you just punch over and over, you can learn a variety of different moves and combos that make the game a lot less repetitive)
1. Variety (you can be a part of any group you want, and feel like your actually a part of it. Your not chained to one style of character, you get a taste of what every group has to offer)
*NO SPECIFIC ORDER*
Gta and bully are different games some similarities but still so I think comparing them or saying one is better makes no sense since they have different genres different everything in gta you rob people you kill people and do anything while in bully Jimmy tries to stop bullying and make the school a better place the game has very different activities
its a bit old to respond but idc
1) it is a good point but i feel like gta teaches you respect, losing loved ones, betrayal on a much deeper level than bully (in my opinion)
and if you think about it not getting into gangs and drugs because in gta you lose something or someone and that consequences of your actions
2) it needing another game makes it no better we are comparing the games and gta does give you something fresh every time stories drastically change and missions differ from tanks to gang wars to drug to helicopters to submarines
3) ok bully is a school with a small town you can remember people you see every day but not people you see 1 or 2 times its a city or multiple cities
4) personal preference 1< 100 songs you cant say one is better
5) ok this is the strongest point but i get confused with every reference from the 90s 80 and 2000s
i think ive done a good job countering your points
Bully deserves a sequel i agree

Minus in bully
1)beach is very lonely.
2)In town is very little can be entered.
3)Map is very small.
Bully has better fighting, When was the last game crowds come over you when you spear and a ground and pound to student while someone reports you to a prefect and you can also beat up people in the crowd, also my favorite weapon is the itching powder, that is so hilarious even the animation and screams are soooo good.
You can do combos in bully and you can’t do that in gta also why fight when you can use guns
Spud Cannon!
3:49
Dude, don't get me started on THAT one!
GTA 5 has an original soundtrack, but it only really plays during missions when you're on foot or while you have a 3 or more star wanted level.
agreed
Shawn Lee is a hell of a music genius
I always preffered Bully over GTA because I was kid in the first time I played both games...and in the fact the bully dealt with kids in a school made me feel closer to what was going on in Bully
I have no idea why people said the game would be a Bullying -glorifier when there's a faction called "The Bullies", who are all total bastards.
I like to add some things about GTA being the same thing
-Evrey GTA game in the HD and 3D universe has a construction sight
-has Bank heist in all HD and 3D games
-Same cars, some added throughout the games
Bully is better than gta
6.) WEAPONS
In every GTA game the weapons would be guns, melee, or explosives.
The dislikes are kids who’s parents don’t allow them to play gta but they watch youtube videos of it.
your name is 👌😂
oh.. I remember when i was playing bully ohmygod these times till 2am was the best
I always listen to the Bully Soundtrack sometimes
Gta includes blood making it more violent
Still no one would believe it
whatever I am a gamer i love every game
but not judging any good or bad game
Okay, I disagree with you but see where you’re coming from. I’m just gonna say it: GTA V is objectively better than Bully due to graphics, things to do, writing and gameplay. However, I definitely agree that miscellaneous characters in Bully are given waaay better backstories and attention than the ones in GTA. Although I think Bully falters in the main character personalities, and that GTA’s Michael, Franklin, and Trevor are way better
written and designed.
I’m gonna have to disagree with u I’ve had gta V since release date but after a year it became a boring title with poor writing and not much fun stuff to do character writing is awful realism is a force that’s been kicked in the balls like petey online is no where near as emersive as bully is infact me and my friends got bored of gta online after a month and barely played that much anyway
sweg wasn't comparing bully to gta v for fuck sake
Timo Prank yeah he was. He was comparing bully to the entire gta franchise. This includes gta v so I made that comparison.
Luke The Legend trevor phillips the killer with an insane rage drive is definitely way more believable then ted the jock
I want bully 2 so i can be in it hopefully
: read my name.
Awesome dude but your character off choice is a pussy
"These people had no idea what they were protesting"
Ah, so times never change
SWEGTA: Reasons why bully is better than GTA.
