That's because WW2 happened in the modern world with all the treaties. Had this been the age of colonialism, Poland would've been annexed by Germany had Germany won the war or by Russia if Germany lost the war. Czechoslovakia too survived the war as a country, despite being annexed during the war. That being said, Poland was puppetted and lost part of its identity after the war, by becoming communist as a vassal state of the Soviet Union.

UK AND FRANCE. France was also in that pact that was meant to grand up safety in case of German agression which has happened multiple times before. From what I've heard it stated that in case of Germany attacking Poland, France and UK were meant to immediately begin a land attack on Germany, and after 3 days also add planes to that war. Only 3k-4k pieces of KVs and T-34s were what matters. Even in the most dangerous, most difficult times we helped the Polish people. For instance we refused to join Germany to attack Poland during WW2, what's more we opened our borders to give shelter to Polish refugees. For hundreds of thousands. Many left for UK and organized their resistance against German occupation.

As Germany had a strong hold on Paris and was pushing onto the Southeast of Soviet Union when the US was sending troops into Africa to relieve the English troops fighting there. When the Germans were being pushed out of the East, the Americans were racing the English through Italy. And when the Eastern Front was falling, the Americans were on the beaches alongside England.
Prior to the US entering the War in 1941, the US was keeping the British and Russians alive by sending resources, arms, food, and anything they needed to stay in the fight. The Russians wouldn't have had the resources to make their T-34-85s or T-43s to fight the German Tigers without US supplying the material. And the railway cars used to transport troops into Germany? US gave the Russians over a thousand cattle cars for their railways.
The English North African campaign could only really pick up due to their affective raids on German air fields. Raids made successful by US jeeps being sent to the British.
Another important North African note, the US was not present for the fight against Rommel, but hundreds of US made Grant/Lee tanks were.
The US is not responsible for winning the war, it was a joint effort with everyone paying for it in death tolls, collateral damages, and crippling war debts...but to play down anyone's involvement is disrespectful and erroneous.

Biting Bison I would say that is a close enough description. It was made for a TV release, later going to a DVD set, but it not a show. The correct term is mini series, as it is longer than a film, doesn't count as having a season, but uses episode counts. It's like the original "IT" or " Hatfields and Mccoys", over an hour long each, labeled as episodes or parts, but not a TV show.
Really it doesn't matter, what matters is the quality of the story and the acting, and Band of Brothers is outstanding in both categories.

They transported the wounded from the besieged city. The Hungarians were allies of Germany, but not during the attack on Poland.

It doesn´t look reasonable that Poland ask to the world to spill the blood of their people for polish freedom when Poland doesn´t do the same with other peoples. In short, not always is Poland a victim and the world is very complicated.

I'd like to highlight that when Hungary was independent, free country never ever had war with Poland although we were neighbours. Even in the most dangerous, most difficult times we helped the Polish people. For instance we refused to join Germany to attack Poland during WW2, what's more we opened our borders to give shelter to Polish refugees. For hundreds of thousands. Many left for UK and organized their resistance against German occupation.
Peter, You Hungarians also saved our country during Polish Soviet war in 1920 when your government delivered all of your country weapon production for free while other nations blocked supplies. Contrary to this, England charged for every single buttons Polish forces defending England during WW2 . Not very much to be pride of.. England should be ashamed. We were not even invited to take part in defilade of victory after the war. Brothers Hungarians we are eternally grateful. Thank you.
