Czechoslovakia too survived the war as a country, despite being annexed during the war. That being said, Poland was puppetted and lost part of its identity after the war, by becoming communist as a vassal state of the Soviet Union.

That's boring. What I've done is make an Eastern European alliance, sure the baltic states are useless as an ally, but with Romania, Yugoslavia and Greece (also Turkey if we actually wanna go there.) you can hold up pretty darn well, especially since the allies will still fight for you after all.

Idk why people believe in the myth of betrayal for Poland when Polands government, pilots and navy were literally evacuating before conflict even started. Britains guarantee of independence actually happened only mere days before Hitlers planned invasion.

- Claiming the UK sold Poland to the USSR in the Yalta conference when the USSR quite literally occupied it
- Claiming the UK used Polish gold to fund the UK’s fight, while simultaneously complaining about Polish representation in said fight… were Poland a part of the war or not? Obviously they’re going to fund a fight against their enemy ffs 😂
- Claiming the UK didn’t invite Poland to the post war parade, when in reality they did but the invite was turned down, and the Polish soldiers who fought with the British Army did not want to be by themselves. Poland, Yugoslavia, USSR; all of these countries willingly did not participate. Britain invited EVERY allied nation.

It's just a soft alliance as a country with the Nazis and that's why there are these flags. For example, they did not attack directly Poland or other countries. You say that Poles did not fight for others, why would others help. A few examples during the war. The famous Battle of Britain and 303 squadron, Battle of Narvik, Defense of Belgium, Battle of Monte Cassino, saving Jews from death in camps. You say they didn't shed blood for others. I know the whole history and I think that what Poland did was heroic but also stupid. Because it's just like you say that no one will shed your blood for. But they simply lived up to their obligations to England, France and others and counted on their help. And the aid ended only with the provision of food and weapons. But usually these were flights by Polish airmen with the consent of the British. Even the pilots did not want to sacrifice. And Polish pilots lost their lives in the Battle of Britain. That is the irony of this. And such an alliance with England.

As Germany had a strong hold on Paris and was pushing onto the Southeast of Soviet Union when the US was sending troops into Africa to relieve the English troops fighting there. When the Germans were being pushed out of the East, the Americans were racing the English through Italy. And when the Eastern Front was falling, the Americans were on the beaches alongside England.
Prior to the US entering the War in 1941, the US was keeping the British and Russians alive by sending resources, arms, food, and anything they needed to stay in the fight. The Russians wouldn't have had the resources to make their T-34-85s or T-43s to fight the German Tigers without US supplying the material. And the railway cars used to transport troops into Germany? US gave the Russians over a thousand cattle cars for their railways.
The English North African campaign could only really pick up due to their affective raids on German air fields. Raids made successful by US jeeps being sent to the British.
Another important North African note, the US was not present for the fight against Rommel, but hundreds of US made Grant/Lee tanks were.
The US is not responsible for winning the war, it was a joint effort with everyone paying for it in death tolls, collateral damages, and crippling war debts...but to play down anyone's involvement is disrespectful and erroneous.

Biting Bison I would say that is a close enough description. It was made for a TV release, later going to a DVD set, but it not a show. The correct term is mini series, as it is longer than a film, doesn't count as having a season, but uses episode counts. It's like the original "IT" or " Hatfields and Mccoys", over an hour long each, labeled as episodes or parts, but not a TV show.
Really it doesn't matter, what matters is the quality of the story and the acting, and Band of Brothers is outstanding in both categories.

They transported the wounded from the besieged city. The Hungarians were allies of Germany, but not during the attack on Poland.
