To flesh out automating blocks more, you can assign the title to file name, sheet name, etc. then you can set your scale using a property. You can also set the current sheet as a property as well so if you have multiple sheets, It will automatically update the number to be correct for the current sheet. You can also set your sheet size as a property as well. And many more. All of this stuff comes in handy once you set up a document standard with all the preferred settings and a sheet format with your blocks - you will never have to mess with anything again if you get a system down. I am just learning all this stuff recently, but the way I like to think about it, and how I think it should work is that each block of information should be a module that can be dynamically changed or at least changed easily. Base sheet format, first page title block, second page title block, revision table, BOM or parts tables, should all be plugins that add on top of your base easily. Don't get too complicated. Remember, KISS.
I always use property sheets for propagating data to the placeholders in the template, since Solidworks added that handy dandy properties editor/builder to newer versions of solidworks. In addition, I keep revisions separate from title blocks. It's still on the same page, just placed at the top. Solidworks default template is just fugly as butt ugly gets, I redid my own complete.
Sure, mainly comes down to suppressing threads etc, which you don't need to see all the time, apart from simplifying models using configurations, then when you are ready you can set them up in their fully detailed state.
Aryan, I received your GDT cheat sheet. It helps to understand easily. How to choose Tolerance value and GDT values using General Tolerance Chart. Is there a cheat sheet for that too?
I followed the steps and tried to create another title block for a separate table that I made at the top of my sheet, but it just loads up the same title block I already created when I click title block fields. Can I only create 1?
What I got going on is I made my title block at the bottom and made empty boxes, notes, etc. I then made a custom revision table that I wanted to have set up so I can input things like on the title block.
Hi How can I link material and mass? it is very important because I don't want to do it manually by myself, it has to be done automatically. (I've already done that in inventor) Thanks for your tips.
Is there a property that links to current drawing units, for use in Sheet Format? ? Or a workaround. Have being pulling my hair and do not have many to spare.
@@with-Aryan Thank you, i feel dumb but have not found anything online and there is really a need for this, when working with various manufacturers and builders.
Hi! I know it was published half year ago but i got a question from Gost user: is the letters of view and datums may to interfere or must be follow in alphabetical order?
if you are refering to the ABC datums, you start defining the datums from A and go alphabetically. But in the GD&T callouts, you don't have to call all or any of them. Did I get your question right?
@@with-Aryan Thank you for answering! I mentioned a bit differ. For example: I have section view F and detail view J then i add datum. So i must continue with K letter for datum? or my first datum might start with letter A ?
i made a custom drawing template . n when i try to insert my part , the title block start scrambling (except the frame). anyone know how to fix this? i try safe sheet but it turn out blank .
I have a question. Should assemblies have its unique property tabs and drawing templates? I have already created a property tab and drawing template for my parts. Once I open an assembly, the property tab (created in my part file) is not uploading. And therefore, no assembly-specific information are uploaded into my assembly drawing.
Yes! the property you've done belongs to individual parts. An assembly needs its own property. However, some fields e.g. Author could be in common but still...
But this isn't what you need! if you want it sure, email me info@solidworkstutorials.net I will give it to you, but again, i recommned you building your own

Great tip, creating linked parameters is the way to go.
Why does the order in which you select the text blocks when setting up the title block matter, and what would be the correct order? 6:15
They've put it there for your ease of use and faster speed and there is no 'correct' sequence. It's just your preference

It would be great if you also had tutorials like this in Persian. Thank you for the excellent content on your channel.
Hi dear sir
Please make videos about how to manage heavy complex assembly documents and how to save it

Great job Aryan!!
Thank you for kind words.
great to learn
My pleasure, teaching just as fulfilling as learning.
Aryan, I received your GDT cheat sheet. It helps to understand easily. How to choose Tolerance value and GDT values using General Tolerance Chart. Is there a cheat sheet for that too?
It's nothing you can memorize! you have to understand and learn that! So once the course is out, after Oct 5th my friend

You will have to save it as a template to open up every time.
@@with-Aryan I made the table with line sketches, I didn’t insert it with the table tool. Can I save the table I sketched as a template to?

Yes, these are parameters, that you can add to the sheet, and link those variables as needed.
