We have a park in my town that has over 76 acres of Contained Land. I can search for a very long time & still not cover it all. Multiply Ball Fields, Swimming pool, Carnival Rides, Carousel (one of the oldest in the country), Dog Park, Tot lots, Picnic areas, Concert Stages. It is a huge area inside the city limits. It changes continuously. My go to place to detect. Really enjoy the Videos. Keep them coming.
Hi Bill & Christine I enjoyed the video. I would think hunting parks is like hunting beaches. Popularity is definitely a factor as well as competition from other hunters. The day of the week I think is also a factor especially during the summer, I always seem to do better Monday mornings especially in the dry sand. It was good to hear the William Show again, the guys in the warehouse missed it.😅
Fun hunt. Timing for returning to parks around me totally depends on popularity (and season, holiday timing). And they get the heavy detecting as well (because... you know...). How often one returns to a park also depends on how thoroughly it gets "cleaned" by detectorists. Z-swingers can return more often because they're missing so much area during their hunts vs. an overlap-swinger. And I know other detectorists are out there because I see their dig evidence 🧐 a lot of the places I go... and I usually still find some things that were left for me 🙂. Cheers!
You two crack me up 🤣. Christina singing " It is the William show" and Bill looking in the toy mirror and riding the snake. You make watching the hunt that much more enjoyable. What was the outcome of the MRI on Christina's knee? Happy Thanksgiving to you both and your family and Buddy.❤
@DigginSoCal Ouch. Thanks for the update. Sounds like perhaps surgery is in the future. Are they having you wearing a knee brace for now and keeping it elevated? Keep up the faith that it will be alright. You got this.
Hi guys! those charms that were found were cute, the chain was a good find. Christine, I'm glad you were feeling better out there, you were more yourself today. Much improved since last time. I feel bad when you're out there and you're not feeling well. Seemed like a nice day to be out there. Take care guys. Catch you in your next post.
Good morning to both of you. Up here i found metal detecting a park depends of the traffic . There are parks i would hit once4 a week and others once or twice a year. Oh Christine, if you guys make it up here in Montreal, we've got places baking bagels. The best bagels in the world loll. Enjoy the week end.
Yup, seems like every location has different time tables. Here it is more about the competition as of late. The best bagels in the world... now that is a goal to achieve... Thanks
I agree with you that it always depends on the popularity of the park and the competition by other detectorists. But I would add a few more factors which also may influence your success: - who is visiting the park? A park wich is popular for people drinking beer and doing BBQ usually is less productive than a park where people do sports and let their kids play around - history of the park / area. Some parks I've detected had barely any modern finds, but lots of stuff from the 1700's and 1800's - how easy is it detectible? Many others detectorists avoid hard to detect areas. That's why they usually hold some good finds. Especially areas with a lot of older trash, highly mineralized soil, with thorny bushes or steep hills. Also I prefere grassy areas with a lot of undisturbed ground to cover, they usually give me good results.
Between dirt fishin and beach hunting, with all the parks around, there is plenty of time until I return to the first park I hit. Then I just hit the other parks and beaches, alternating between them. Plenty of time for new deposits. Got to be an early bird though, because there is competition out there. _/👍🏻
Love watching your posts guys (as you may know by now..) Nice hunt and little experiment, also something I have considered, but as you say, comes down to luck (or bad luck depends on how you look at it🤔) at the end of the day! Thanks as always for taking us along, always fun, like meeting up with friends :-) Hope Buddy is good, give him a chin tickle from Cape Town!😻
We really appreciate that you enjoy our stuff... We are always thinking of new ideas and to be honest, only held back because poor Christine has to work so much.. We are trying to figure out a plan that will free her up more and allow us to go crazy...haha. Thank you very much!
Lack of finds due to hitting them parks kind of back to back after being there. It happens. Sill found a few good finds an some coins. Happy Hunting. Peace
Good morning Bill and Christine Well looks like you had another successful hunt together. Too bad you didn't find any gold. Maybe next time. Christine how is your knee doing? I hope it is better, and yes I agree peanut M&M's are the best. Love your videos always. Have a wonderful weekend!
Thank you very much and the MRI shows a small tear. The good thing is we now know there is a reason for the pain. Nothing is worse than them saying nothing is wrong and it hurts.
@DigginSoCal Christine I do know how painful that is. I tore my meniscus in my left knee several years ago. I went two months with that pain thinking it would get better. It never got better till I went to an orthopedic surgeon here in Oklahoma. His name was Dr. James Bond. How cool is that, he did a wonderful job fixing my left knee. I did my rehabilitation as he prescribed and it has never bothered me again. I have been very fortunate health wise. I will be 65 next June. That is the only surgery that I have had to endure so far thank God! It was one day in and out of the hospital. EZ peazy. Good luck. I hope you get that fixed soon.
Just the name Wisconsin sounds cold...lol. Christine found out via the MRI that she does have a slight tear but the good news is they found something so now it can be addressed. Thank you
there's so many people here in north Texas that detect, that every park is searched at least once per day. We have over 100 parks in area. I've spoken to one person that lives across from a huge totlot/park, and she says she's sees at least 3-4 detectorists hit the park everyday. I'm planning on making my way out yer way, probably newport beach. Hope to see y'all if I do.
And I thought ours were bad. I have arrived only to see someone detecting and I just sigh....lol. Another reason I like to start at the crack of dawn. Yes, let us know if your out our way!
The refresh rate is seasonal variable up here North of Seattle , not good hunting this time of year. Me: I still tired for all the Crossfit this morning. My Wife: It's pronounced Croissant and you ate four of them.
in that area do you guys go in the grass area and dig ? im going to Cali but up in the SF area in Antioch, im at the coast of Maine at the moment but want to move to cali
You want to move to Cali??? You should definitely visit several times before moving. It's beautiful in California but it's very expensive to live here.
@DigginSoCal That's exactly what I'm doing.I'm going there to visit my daughter. But she has an in-law apartment in the back where I could stay But it needs to be remodeled but I could take care of that I would have to look for a job too
Hello to the best couple detectorists! You guys are so cool!Poor Christine i realy hope your knee gets bet but why are you so often sick? Do you take vitamins, Supplement specialy vitamin C!! iT LOOKS LIKE MAYBE your immune system needs a boost! I know you work 16 hours shifts but look like me for 31 years i was a Superior officer as a FireFighter and special interventions and rescues Emergencies working 12 hours shift min (night days)and even 24 hours but i was taking all that i said earlier and rarely sick you should hv a Blood complet check up ask your doctor!! Anyway i love you both and Christine stop being hard on Bill :) Frank from the deep North of Canada!! God Bleess you both!
Hiiiiiiiii! I do take vitamins and supplements. I've been sick only one other time this year. The hours that I work are a little unconventional and I think add to the compromise in my immune system.
@@DigginSoCal By the way i miss seeing you detect with the 540! I Bought the ProPack and this detector comes with somuch as gear as much as the technology and dept!! The versatility that the 8 and 12 inches, Blurtooyh and Multi IQ power i love it beats many others detectors twice the price!! Anyway hope to see you again soon feeling better and to watch your next video!! God Bless you both! Frank from the dee North

Not a bad haul Bill and Christine. Thanks for taking us along
Thanks 714!!!
LOL William show. We live across the street from a community park and we only hit it after something goes on in the park. Like Santa/Easter Bunny etc.
Oh wow. Very interesting!

You two are a Blast to watch. Never know what we are in for as one of you or both of you are always entertaining. Keep it going :)Yeah
Thanks detectorguy!!!!! We just like to have fun.
I love the pin pointer shovel. It’s my favorite part of the entire video.
LOL... yes, I do abuse the pinpointer but at least the tip is protected.
Hello to bill and Christine! Good morning! Finally, is Christine much better! Praise the lord!
Thank you so much... That was a stubborn cold! The cough is still lingering

Hi Dawn!!!!! Hope you're doing well. I'm also glad to be feeling better.
Christine would makes a great food detector
Yeah, I got the nose for it!
I find that I could go every day and find something I missed. I wish we had parks as nice as the ones you hunt.
Some of the parks here are pretty gross. That's awesome that you could hit the same park every day and still find stuff.

LoLoLoL. I will make sure to tell him that!!!!!
the thing at 9:32 is a Fidget Toy is spin around and you move the arms and legs
I will never need a "fidget" as long as my beloved pet rock lives!🤤
Ah, OK. That makes sense but it is hard to hold onto with one hand... slippery little bugger...

"The ground farted" 😂
I hate going to Park City sooner than 3 months unless there's a giant convention or a pirate fast out there I stay away
3 months!!!! That's wild! I don't think Bill could stay away from any park for 3 months.
Good hunt Bill and Christine. How is Christine doing better i hope. Thanks for the information, I'm from Wisconsin
Just the name Wisconsin sounds cold...lol. Christine found out via the MRI that she does have a slight tear but the good news is they found something so now it can be addressed. Thank you

You could call the penguin Cyclops. Lol
I usually wait 6 months..and then there isn't much..most parks don't get used much up here though. 🤷✌🇨🇦
Makes sense. The longer the better but they do need traffic. Ours are very busy both with people and unfortunately more detectors as of late
Its never searched out completely
That is true. I always seem to find stuff that has been there for a while and think to myself how I missed it but it is very easy to miss a ton
Hello Bill and Christine from Washington State
Good morning Joe
Hi from Australia
Wow, you are a long way from SoCal... Good day to you
Well, Christine he’s now a penguin with a handicap hi Christine, you can nickname the penguin now one eye
Just get out and have fun. It's like fishing....somedays you catch a mess, others you just lose the worm.
This is hilarious. I feel like I'm always losing the worm. And Bill is always catching all the fish!
