- Euphorbia is a type of succulent that is very hardy. They will need some protection from prolonged exposure to direct sun but many of them can withstand extreme hot temperatures. I am so grateful to be gifted with these euphorbia cuttings by a friend from the Ozarks (Missouri). These are very special as it came from very old plants from his collection.

I just got into Euphorbias last year and it started with a Polygona Snow Storm. I regret not buying the first one I found, but later found a horrida then a smaller Snow Storm. Clyde's videos kept popping up when I was looking for information about them (his powder blue is so nice!), and then I found your channel. Thanks to both channels, I'm getting ready to collect some seeds! I have a small collection of 4 plants so far, but I'm hoping to hybridize them and grow from there😊

Euphorbia are an amazing and varied family of plants, from that irritating weed we call milk weed (Euphorbia peplus), to the poinsettia and a huge range of succulents in between. I want to start collecting some of them, especially ones with a caudex. Loved the video, Ana. Thank you (and thanks for the tip off for Clyde Morris - now following).

Haha I am growing desert plants in a place where there is some snow but not a lot of snow. I love the snow and will put all my hardy desert plants outside. I have my aloe striatula outside haha I also put cactus out for summer

@@CactusCaffeine Euphorbia for me is quite tolerable, I just plant it using my selfmade soil mix. Put in the area that is partially shaded but have enough sunlight to 2 to 3 hours and watered it once a week. I am not an expert An like you but this is only the way I care my Euphorbia as a beginner.

It'ss going to be interesting to see the how they grow because they are similar. We get to look at the differences in similar plants. I noticed the second one had curved spines like following like a barber pulse going to be interesting to see the differences between the various pups. Thanks to both of you for this interesting show.
Yes, they will start developing their own characteristic look as they grow. But if you want to see them as mature plants, watch the video of Clyde showing his 20-30 year old Euphorbias. 😃👍🏼

Yeah, Clyde is my Euphorbia guru. 😉 He grew Euphorbia long enough to see them grow from seeds that he got from cross pollinating his own plants.
