I'm happy enough waiting another 2-3 years for it to be at a big discount. I just can't support a company that so openly lied and deceived their customers. It will take a long time and a lot of effort on their part to make me trust them again.
I was let down by the main story. When they talked spy thriller I expected some complicated plot going down the rabbit hole. However the "conspiration" you uncover is very very basic and not as enganging as I wanted. It is character driven, what I appreciate but is not what I was told to expect. So I feel like this questline is a waste of potential ,for things that could be explained and were not and characters who were thrown aside by the story like Hansen and Alex. Aide content ia great though.
For anyone that has played it; I didnt quite understand the story part. Is it better to play the dlc before finishing the game, or after finishing the main game?
the dlc sounds great, augmented systems that support the game, augmented choices to support the story... 12 hours of story added.. but $30??? I just cant get around them asking for halfprice the original games price to add on 12-15 hours and 10 levels of an otherwise already hundreds of hours long game... heart of stone and blood and wine together cost that much and both of them are free now.. Ill just play 2.0 and wait for the dlc to get added for free later

wish I could play it but the game damages any save phantom liberty does for me on ps5. I had to uninstall phantom liberty and download a cloud save just to load 2.0. there's a bunch of people with this issue and I don't see anyone talking about it.
This has to be one of the finest looking games ever made and yet it runs well on fairly modest hardware (including 8GB Graphics cards) unlike so many other AAA titles recently. Which proves that all that nonsense about VRAM is just an excuse for bad programing and greedy/scummy practices.
I would love it if CDRP added a mode that lets the player just wander around NC, w/out any story missions or narrative to follow. Start as a low-level street ganger, and work your way up the ranks, take over other gangs territory, etc. I mean you can basically Role-play this right now, but it still feels really immersion breaking for me, when my V in all of her cutscenes is a pretty stand-up person that's always trying to help those in need. But when I'm in control, I'm playing as a slightly out of control merc, so their's a kind of disconnect there.
And I STILL don't know to where exactly the option "Skip Ahead to Phantom Liberty" skips you. I'd love to skip the intro and complete Act 1 (Heist). Does anybody know?
It definitely skips the Heist. The DLC starts after you deal with the Voodoo boys which is very early on in Act 2. I'd imagine that it just simulates until then and you should be able to do the other stuff in Act 2 like the Panam and Judy stuff.
This is the first time I've seen "Spy Thriller" mentioned I feel Hopefully that doesn't mean I have to change play style specifically for this into a more stealthy game
More that its usually on by default and I don't care enough to turn it off, I think people blow motion blur out of proportion, I rarely even notice it.
*SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER* I absolutely HATED the tonal shift into "horror" towards the end of this DLC. I was really feeling the dlc until this point which ruined the entire experience for me because of how forced it felt. The entire game you're fighting all these imposing robots and then out of nowhere this one shows up and there's nothing I can do to it? As I said, this ruined the entire experience

Tried to start a new game to experience all the new shit; the Heist bugged out and the floor in the elevator just kept disappearing at floor 35, killing me over and over. So I just reloaded my Meet Hanako at Embers save
I'll skip that. CP77 didn't have "the thing" to drag me in. I finished the game but didn't really enjoyed or cared about it that much. It lacked something. A soul, maybe? ;)
Playing video games a lot in exchange for good ad revenue isn't really a hard job. He likely treats it like a full time job and games a lot each day, but it's still a hell of a lot better than working an office job and I imagine the pay is a lot better considering his channel numbers. I'd happily play 12 hours of games a day, every day if I was being paid well for it.
Just can’t bring myself to play cyberpunk again, they burnt me at launch and I just can’t get past that. I’m glad there’s people enjoying the game but it’s a pass for me. Appreciate the review nonetheless!
Honestly, it's now a great game. One of the best FPS RPGs ever made, if not the best. By all means, feel free to avoid it because your principles get in the way of enjoyment, but it's a waste. I mean, you could always just boot up the 2.0 update without paying for the DLC and see if it feels good. I shat all over CDPR for the launch of the game. But just as with No Man's Sky I believe redemption is possible (although unlikely). But yeah, you do you.
Its overall better, because they finally fixed most bugs and issues, but why they added vehicle combat and police is beyond me, none of it ties into the gameplay or missions and its still extremly linear experience except for the combat builds. No options for roleplaying your character like in Fallout New Vegas, BG3 or Pathfinder. It's a shame they built a breathtaking city but with very little dynamic gameplay its mostly just set dressing. I really hope the next game is gonna allow us to proper roleplay and that they add more im-sim / dynamic gameplay to the world, instead constantly running from combat marker to combat marker, like a looter shooter.

The Rock would be impressed by your work ethic
So the story is Escape from New York? Just with neon? Cool.
It's worth it for people who haven't finished and have only tried early versions of the game, like me with 1.2 and being sidetracked
I am about 30 hours in on Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 updated but my level is only 13. I have tons of money accumulated so I am really going to start upgrading etc. much more. I have been taking my time with this game and just started doing some side missions and I really like how smarter of a player I become as far as knowing which upgrades, quickhacks, perks, attributes etc. to utilize the more I play this game. I am going to wait until I am upgraded closer to 50 before jumping in on the “Phantom Liberty” DLC.
I am very excited about this DLC and absolutely LOVE Cyberpunk 2077. 😎
Holy crap how?! I’m around level 20 and I’m only like 20 hours in max.
@@Wraiven22 because I started using my perks, update, attributes later…I got too caught in the story to really think of doing that…now I love the whole upgrading system…now just after a couple of hours of more playtime I am now at level 17.
@@Shadowx011that still dont explain that tbh.
@@bombyo3634…then perhaps it is because I have been playing this game slowly.
@@Shadowx011 nvm im level 19 and im not at 20 hrs yet. I pretty much know what to do in the game but its harder.
I honestly miss the old cop system. I dont like being chased i just want to go about my business. I dont really start shoot outs.
Okay. Please tell me it is actually called space force 1. I would love that so much.
It is, yeah
I'd be more interested if the expansion wasn't as overpriced. Whenever it goes on sale I'll consider getting it.
wish I could play it but the game damages any save phantom liberty does for me on ps5. I had to uninstall phantom liberty and download a cloud save just to load 2.0. there's a bunch of people with this issue and I don't see anyone talking about it.
I don't know.. in my opinion the whole expansion is one of the best, right at the top with Hearts of Stone and Blood & Wine
This has to be one of the finest looking games ever made and yet it runs well on fairly modest hardware (including 8GB Graphics cards) unlike so many other AAA titles recently. Which proves that all that nonsense about VRAM is just an excuse for bad programing and greedy/scummy practices.
Yep...it both looks AND runs better... than certain recently released games that actually look as though they came out a decade ago.
Bro he said it skips you to pacifica. Thats like near half the game.
@@judostar11 Thanks! That somewhat aligns with the little info I could gather myself!
I miss game sounds during your review :(
This is the first time I've seen "Spy Thriller" mentioned I feel
Hopefully that doesn't mean I have to change play style specifically for this into a more stealthy game
Sadly I don’t have time to play this with SF being out
just to note that, as with the main game, the VA for female V is better than the male version
disagree
I’m surprised you didn’t like it more, Mortym.
Fantastic game now :)
Do you even sleep sir? Nice work!
you use motion blur? I knew you seemed too good to be true...
More that its usually on by default and I don't care enough to turn it off, I think people blow motion blur out of proportion, I rarely even notice it.
@@MortismalGaming first time i've seen motion blur was in Crysis, it made me sick 😅
Good show sir
*SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER*
I absolutely HATED the tonal shift into "horror" towards the end of this DLC. I was really feeling the dlc until this point which ruined the entire experience for me because of how forced it felt. The entire game you're fighting all these imposing robots and then out of nowhere this one shows up and there's nothing I can do to it? As I said, this ruined the entire experience
you should get some kind of affiliate links so we can support you
The thanks button under the video near the share button will let people leave a donation or a tip so to speak if they want too, affiliate links can be touchy when you're reviewing games and trying to be as objective as possible

Magnificent game ❤️🔥
HOW DO YOU DO IT
From looks of it patch 2+ phantom liberty is what OG game should've been... I wonder if we get another expansion Witcher 3 style... they teased a huge space casino... (Space Toussaint? XD)
Its a great dlc !
Tried to start a new game to experience all the new shit; the Heist bugged out and the floor in the elevator just kept disappearing at floor 35, killing me over and over.
So I just reloaded my Meet Hanako at Embers save
Walk into elevator, push button, look directly up at ceiling, do not move until at penthouse level.
@@ChrisBeaufait ended up having to hug Jackie's ass
I'll skip that. CP77 didn't have "the thing" to drag me in. I finished the game but didn't really enjoyed or cared about it that much. It lacked something. A soul, maybe? ;)
Your definitely wrong on that it had soul a lot of it in fact so much so it's a shame it launched the way it did
@Sh1ft3r1not even close the story while being that good is far better than far cry on lore alone, plus edgerunners exists
tbh 2.0s combat is not as fun for me. I’m gonna try to get back into it with a new game and see if it sticks.
👌
Ahh so this is John Carpenter’s Escape from New York, set in Cyberpunk land. lol
I dont understand how are u able to finish a game in 24hour process and review it...
It was available on the 25th where I live, and its like a 10 hours DLC (minus the side stuff) for a game I've already played. Doesnt take that long.
I have not played Cyberpunk but the plot of the DLC sounds like someone modified the plot from the Escape from New York

Dude how do u not burn out yourself playing so many games and that too 100% ?
Playing video games a lot in exchange for good ad revenue isn't really a hard job.
He likely treats it like a full time job and games a lot each day, but it's still a hell of a lot better than working an office job and I imagine the pay is a lot better considering his channel numbers.
I'd happily play 12 hours of games a day, every day if I was being paid well for it.
Are there new apartments?
1 technically, but its not anything special
Just can’t bring myself to play cyberpunk again, they burnt me at launch and I just can’t get past that. I’m glad there’s people enjoying the game but it’s a pass for me. Appreciate the review nonetheless!
Maybe try not to take gaming so bloody personally? The game is fixed now. You're denying yourself out of your own stubbornness.
@@Doddz321I’m not denying myself anything played the game at launch and it was lackluster. Three years is a little too late for me personally
Missing out tbh. You paid for it didn't you? It's worth its money now. The 2.0 update added so much for free!
2 hours in on this dlc and I've died more times than my first 3 complete play throughs... to cut scenes. No likey.
