Awesome! You managed to raise the original solo which is already excellent. Congrats Jeremy! Bands nowadays need to look back to the 70s, 80s and rescue melodic and truly creative solos. This is one of them.
@@jeremybunce dude can you point me towards some riff centric bands like this? Like if I could take the portion of kiwi you covered and extrapolated it out to an entire song I’d be in heaven. Honestly you did this better than they did and it’s MOVING and jammy. You’re the shit ❤️🖖🏼
Heyy!! love this and tysm for the tabsss been waiting for forever!! Btw which pedals do you use to get this sound/ what settings? My ear isn't trained to the specific eguitar sounds quite yet, would be very helpful!! So awesome
Hi Madison! Thanks for checking out my cover happy to help with the tabs. As far as my tone I was going DI into a plug-in Neural DSP (the Plini archetype) on a fairly high gain preset. More in the line of metal guitar tone on my end. I don’t have a synth-y pedal atm I would of loved a whammy or pitch shifter but I did use just a touch of TC electronics Sub and Up octave pedal all though I don’t think it comes out in my cover very much. Honestly pretty much DI into a high gain amp for some shred tone! Hopefully this helps, in the end I knew I wouldn’t be able to get the tone exact. (This solo is so wild, is it guitar is it synth?) so I fell back on a usual preset for some high gain shred!
Psychi thanks so much, Practice at a slow enough speed anything is in reach! Find a sick solo (like this) and start going half speed a measure at a time if ya gotta. A few tricky spots in this solo however not the most advanced as far as difficulty level but I think anyone could pull off these licks with some practice.
Hi onlysw! This is a tricky part of the solo with a bit of sweep picking. If you’re not familiar with the technique it’s more of a rake of your pick down the strings rather than picking all the strings individually. Anyone who wants further help is welcome to email me at jeremybunce@gmail.com
Thanks for checking out my cover! These guys just showed up in a playlist and I really latched on to this solo. That riff is F# D C# A played 14 10 high e 14 10 b string in sixteenth notes.
really amazing, you are a great player. trying to learn the tabs but is the song in a weird tuning? the notes I play with sound off with the recording and you
AC thanks for checking out my cover! Standard tuning on this one. The first riff has a D major feel so I’d just check your tuning play a couple d chords however you like and then try the first measure of the tab again let me know if it still sounds funny!
something just defintitly sounds off with my guitar, I can't put my finger on it. i know my guitars intonation is fine because I'm playing with other songs fine. its almost like its in 432hz or something where I'm playing the same notes but it just sounds like there's clashing. Lol I could just be going crazy I really don't know its driving me crazy!
Thanks teddy! Im running DI into an amp sim, the Neural DSP Plini plugin to be specific on a fairly high gain lead setting, little bit of delay, also using just a touch of an octave pedal to give it a bit of synth vibe.
@@jeremybunce super cool, i just turned 17 and am planning on learning purely because of this song, i played violin and currently play piano so i hope it helps me a little, i want to be as good as you
@@gutzz3843 I love to hear about new found inspiration! There are certainly some tricky sections but most of this solo can be picked up with some practice. Especially if you have some experience on violin or a similar stringed instrument. Grab a guitar and try!
For this I’m using an amazing amp plugin by Neural DSP called Plini Archetype on a pretty high gain shred setting, a touch of an octave pedal, and split coiled hot pickups.

@@jeremybunce any tips on how to figure out the notes of songs by ear? I’m assuming that’s what you did here

Hey Davis! Sorry for the late reply. For me a high gain sound almost metal worked. I had a small amount of a octave pedal too!
Can you do t love?
By quarters of change
I can check it out!

That riff is F# D C# A played 14 10 high e 14 10 b string in sixteenth notes.
How did you find a backing track
This is the original track but I do use a plug-in Izotope RX which can somewhat stem out the tracks to lower things like drums bass guitars vocals.
Can you please help me with the solo! I would love to learn 🙏🏼

Hey man, when you do the fast part between 10 and 14, do you keep your pointer finger on both strings the whole time or do you flip between them
I don’t think I bar both strings exactly probably more jumping around my index and pinky as the descending lick repeats.
