Ty for the video...just bought the Alpha Blue Ox system. I plan to tow with my Vita RV. In the process of getting my car equipped with what it needs for me to tow. Your video pointed out several things i need to be aware of. TY & keep on campin'😊
Thank you. My Jeep goes innext week to have this system installed. Question: Have you make a video showing how to put the Jeep's transmission box into neutral for flat towing?
Great video...I'm in the market to purchase a offroad bumper for my 13 jeep jku and are the smittybilt bumper rated to flat tow their website says no....but your help is very appreciated. I am also towing it with a jayco 31xl
I'm getting ready to change our toad too. I've had 6 Wranglers and will get one more. (Is that bumper an aftermarket bumper? Did you consider installing a Blue Ox base plate, instead of using the bumper?) We've towed a Cherokee Trailhawk about 27,000 miles with our 2017 Jayco Precept 31UL. The flat tow hook up is so simple.
Hi Ted and thanks for watching. Yes, I considered getting the base plate but I felt I would just try the bumper to see how it goes. This is a major upgrade for us and we couldn't be happier. You are so correct, the flat tow hook up is so simple. Safe travels and thanks again for watching.
@@herewegoagaincamping It looked to me, in your video, that the Jeep bumper was higher than your TV hitch. I was told the hook up points should be within 3”. Maybe it looked high because the Jeep was on solid ground and the RV was on grass? Safe Travels
Is that rear camera on your RV from the Jayco factory or is that aftermarket? Mine on the 2021 31F died when I washed my RV. I got a cheap $15 one from Walmart and Jerry rigged it so I could see behind me halfway into our cross country trip.
Hi John, thanks for watching. Our camera is the factory one but the video isn't from that camera. For this video we filmed our jeep tow with the camera we do all our filming with. I wish our factory was that clear. You did a smart thing with getting a new one. I couldn't imagine not having a camera to check on our tow.
Please make sure your bumper is rated for towing. It looks like a Barricade aftermarket bumper and they are not rated for flat towing per their web site.

Thank you for watching and so glad our video was helpful. Safe travels and God bless.

Thanks for watching...and we haven't. Thanks for the idea on a video.
Your tow bar should be as close to level as possible. A receiver riser would fix that.
Thanks for watching and you are absolutely correct.
What bumper are you using? Most offroad bumpers seem to say not to use it for towing.
I did a google search, the look and finish looked very familiar - it is a Smittybilt 76744
No liability

Arms should be LEVEL otherwise it could bind in tight turns
Thanks for watching and the info.

As most after market bumpers are not rated for towing, I'm wondering which bumper manufacturer you are using?

Need your help. How may inches is your spread from D ring to D ring on your bumper?
How is it working for you?

Curious if you’re still liking your Alpha 2? We are looking at it now.
We love our alpha 2. Couldn't imagine towing without it. Thank you for watching and safe travels.
Where did you purchase your adapters?
Hi and thanks for watching. We purchased everything from Amazon. Links for products are in the description of the video.
What bumper do you have on the jeep?
I did a google search, the look and finish looked very familiar - it is a Smittybilt 76744
Average cost for this set up?
Thanks for watching and it was less thank 1200 via Amazon but I am sure the price has gone up like everything else.
What brake system are you using?
