Easy to overlook at the time (Miami Vice and Buster in particular) but dang, Phil is a darn good actor. I remember Julie Walters saying that he had all the same instincts as any actor she'd ever worked with. High praise indeed. I have to say your channel is highly impressive - keep up the great work! 🙂
Thanks for compiling these Phil films! He was also in an episode of the American TV show "Miami Vice" where he played "Phil the Shill". This role actually led to Phil being offered the lead role in the film, "Buster". I have always loved, and still love, Phil Collins' music (Genesis and solo career), his film / tv roles, and have read his autobiography, "Not Dead Yet". I wish him improved health and continued happiness! ❤
I have never heard of the movie 'Calliope' but it looks fascinating. Phil's smile at the end was chilling. now I must find it. Thanks. It is too bad that 'Phil The Shill' is unavailable. I have seen it several times and Mr. Collins is stellar in it. Wish his musical success had brought more eyes to the cinema. He is quite good.
💙Phil was there. 👍 He wasn't screaming like the others, he was in awe to be there listening to the Beatles and watching Ringo drum so they cut him out of the scene. When the producers made a 30th anniversary documentary "You Can't Do That! The Making of A Hard Day's Night" in 1996, Collins was asked to to narrate it, and Phil asked for outtakes where he finally found himself.👍👏

They could not use the Miami Vice clips due to copyright issues. We used to see in on TubiTV but no more for the same reason. Who owns the rights?
Thank Billfilm for these gems!!

He was in the movie “Hook” that starred Dustin Hoffman. He played a police detective if memory serves.
Phil claims that he was also in "A Hard Days Night" he says that he is unable to find himself in there but he was in a crowd scene.
