Thank you for posting something affordable. I would love to see some houses in Santinho. One of my favorite towns in Floripa even though it’s gotten much busier over the years.
Hi, Nordic. A shout out to your channel, very nice stuff. I think you are on the right track with this. I've had many brazilian friends going to Europe with dreams and coming back because everything is so expensive, and europeans themselves (and americans) are trying to find places elsewhere to live. Brazil has a great potential in this. We can't know the future for sure, but I think your "bet" here will play out on the long run. Brazil for foreigners is extremely cheap. Although I don't think you'll find much interest from young or middle-aged people, since job market is not the best, but for older people with savings I really think they would be surprised to discover how good they can get.
warm waters in south of Brazil? no way..heheehe... at least u comparing with Swedish/Finish coast ;) but the positive thing about this region is that is completely out of tourist track! then u can have a more authentic experience
Hey, I’m from São Paulo, and hear me out-back in November 2014, I went to both Rio and Santa Catarina in the same week, and the water was definitely warmer in Santa Catarina (Barra Velha). I mean, really warm! I was a little confused because I thought the farther south you go, the colder the water would be, but that’s not the case in Brazil and I don't know why.
@@renan8699 Hey there, I believe in you...but that does not mean that it's always like this... Rio's coast, specially the north shore, receives a phenomenon called "Upwelling", that's why Cabo Frio got this name ;), its basically deep cold waters emerging to ocean surface..... this can be intensified or weakened depending the time of the year ;) but still, in general Santa Catarina has colder waters comparing with all the rest of Brazil (excepting RS and Rio north coast) ;) lastly, cold waters in Rio can even be an advantage cuz of the higher temperatures comparing with south of Brazil
The big real estate websites are imovelweb, viva real and zapimoveis. But also search on google for the real estate agents in the town and send them a whatsapp asking them to send you by whatsapp all the properties they have on the books which meet your criteria.
Would this 2 double wood walls set-up be equivalent to the usual 1 layer brick set-up ? Same or colder, more humid in winter ? Are there termites in BZ ? I never heard any mention of them before so wondering. Very, very nice looking house nothwithstanding the points you brought up.
I would say that the double wooden walls offer a bit more protection against the cold than a single brick wall but not much. However you are able to spray in insulation into the cavity between the two wooden walls without having to do major reconstruction, which is very useful. Yes you need to be careful about termites and the key is that the wood used is of a type which is more resistant to termites such as ipê e garapeira
Loved this house
👍
This is our lucky week as you've put out several videos this week. Thanks.

@@nordicinvestor How much would the spray in insulation cost ? Just an idea,
This got to be one of the best properties you chose to review so far :) I'd live there in a heartbeat.
Yes, it is very appealing.
You and me both!
the cat is include in valor?
How much is it lined
I do not know exactly but I have seen quotes for other houses for about R$20,000 ($4,000)
$123k for that house? in the middle of nowhere. There's beach apartments/houses in Florianopolis for a similar price.
I will do some videos about properties in Floripa soon
Danger is the unpredictable government
Expensive , I am from this area, rip off deal.
How you called is beach house ? Beach even cant be visible from the house . Beach house should not be far from beach more than 50MTR !
You have a point!
@@nordicinvestor no, he is boring!
here in brasil we call beach house if in the city has a beach.
Nice video!
What is then ?if it’s not a beach house
Way overpriced
👍
It's important to note that Santa Catarina beaches are known to be too cold and polluted by sewage.
Nice try 😂
Bom saber que tem alguém tentando proteger o mercado nacional de imóveis kkk
😂😂😂😂 doidão
@@pedronardes- not all…. Balneário Camboriú is Trashy but the other ones are ok…

It's still a fair bit of money. There are even more affordable properties which I will show in future videos.
