Let me know what habits you're working on or which of these hit home the most. :)

I have a really hard time with my colleagues when they disparage others. I’ve had to stop going to a prayer group because the leader kept talking badly about people that I care about. I feel that this is very important and I was/ am offended. So, I just took the peaceful way out. After prayer, I realized that this group is not feeding my faith. So, I’m not going to that group anymore and I feel much better.

Sometimes that's the best course of action- just to change who you're around :)

It was nice to wake up after a restless night to see you waiting on my phone!! I used to be really good at drinking plenty of water and getting enough sleep. Now I've got insomnia and barely drink enough water. My doctors are helping me with the insomnia issue and I've got to work on the water issue. Today's a new day! I actually slept about 5hrs. Yay me!! Now off to drink some water! Thank you for the video. It was very helpful.

Love that! I'm so glad it was helpful and enjoy that water :)

Revisiting this video in April '22 🙌
    1. Heat mapping - awareness of products you're using versus the ones you're not (set things aside as you use them)
    2. Feed your brain - keep your goals in your daily feed
    3. Be present
    4. Movement
    5. Awareness
    6. Digitizing
    7. Immediate Re-homing - put things away immediately
    8. Organic Decluttering - declutter the area where you are
    9. Single tasking
    10. Getting enough sleep
    11. Achieving inbox zero
    12. Wishlisting over purchasing
    13. Tenacity - don't give up
Working on: #2 Feed your brain; #7 Immediate re-homing; #11 achieving inbox zero...ever!😆

I’m trying to work on single tasking!!. Being aware. I find sometimes my brain flips to something else, and I feel like I have too many tabs open in my brain.
Making lists helps with all the swirling lists in my head, and I feel less overwhelmed. I really like your point of organic decluttering.

Thanks for sharing! In the same way - sometimes I just have to do a “brain dump “ and write it all down

My kids, now 26-30, use Amazon wish lists for Christmas. Then I actually print them out for shopping, because I can look for best prices on other sites, or brick and mortar stores.

I now wash dishes while food is cooking; I don't wait until after the meal to do them all at once.
I also keep a bag by the door to drop in decluttered items for recycle or giving.
My biggest is that I am practicing awareness of trusting that the future will be okay, NO MATTER WHAT. This helps to release fear that causes clutching onto unused and unneeded things.

Saying that like “what if google goes down” kinda reminded me of what I told myself when I was digitizing things like what if the internet goes down but like I feel like if something like that happened, there’s probably bigger problems to worry about 😂

@@MiaDanielle this is actually a great idea. I assume it would look different for different groups of items. Medication, tools, kitchen, movies, digital clutter. Great idea.

I’m trying to romanticize my life! Appreciate the small task being completed than work my way up to the larger task! I feel very happy. I’m awarding myself in different ways. I’ve been planning to move, started buying plastic bens and boxes to find out how much things I don’t need or wear anymore. I had tons of skirts, fancy dresses, heels, shoes I barely wore and had tags on them. I felt guilty for having the thought to get rid of this stuff because my mom brought it for. She die not to long ago. Now, I wear more pants, sweatpants, leggings than putting on a skirt or dress. I’m planning to donate a lot; 4 black trash bags a lot. I still feel like i still have more junk. That’s my 2021 project. 2022 I’ll have better habits. Haha

I would absolutely LOVE to be 100%digitized. Sadly, I end up spending hours being frustrated over passwords, all the ridiculous hoops to jump through, the device connecting, the days of trying desperately to set up a system that was clearly designed not for me and mine, searching other programs, and basically spin my wheels forever.
    Sooo, paper. **sobs inconsolably**

Really like number 2. UA-cam is great for that tho with constant recommendations based on my viewing history. Lol.
Moving my body lol. Just go get like 8 cats and they’ll keep you moving very well. 😅😅
That is gold tho. Don’t offend yourself by what I’m saying. 😅😅 I’m gonna put that in my file of greatest quotes of all time. Lol. Another one was “putting the crazy back where it belongs” which I’ve also never forgotten. Lol. Well that takes me right back to number 2 tho. I have my abuse recovery stuff up as number one. Never forget Bcuz amnesia can be deadly. My biggest declutter has been toxic people like that tho (among other types of abusers) who will never fail to find something “wrong” with you or what you said or did or just how things generally are. Helps so much with not taking the blame for everyone else’s little petty perceived grievances or much bigger ones even. When someone feels so entitled like that tho, everything pretty much offends them. 🙄 Some of them are offended just Bcuz some of us still get to breathe air. So imo it’s not really so small. It’s kinda huge. You finally get to eradicate boatloads of false guilt and shame. And Bcuz some folks will try to make you feel bad for even existing in the first place, how much more if you dare open your mouth or do anything they don’t “approve” of. That’s my big one tho. The habit of tolerating too much from these kinds of toxic people. The good habits are just an extension of that such as more self discovery Bcuz Def you can lose your sense of self and who you are when you cater too much to these toxic folks and walk on too many eggshells for them lest you “offend” them or enrage them. 🙄 Prob the best point tho Bcuz if you don’t fix the toxic people problem, then all the “self improvement” in the world is just winding up being a guilt ridden martyr. Sometimes you’re already doing very well and it’s more about who you’re surrounded by and giving credence to that is actually bringing you down. I am so done with self flagellation. Sometimes you’re just surrounded by arse holes telling you you’re never “good enough” and that’s about all there is to it. I know it’s not so PC, but I WILL use a middle finger salute for some of these folks. Sometimes ya just have tho tho. Lolol. Then I’ll go right back to blowing sunshine out of my butt and spreading love and hope and good cheer. Lmao. Sorry. Long winded again it seems. Lol.

Are you going to keep doing distraction music? I just can't understand why UA-camrs feel the need to teach/talk over music. It's not helping.

    • @MiaDanielle
