When he got violent with me, I got to my car, called the police, then WAITED half an hour for them to come. They arrived, spoke to me about 2 seconds, went inside to speak with him for about 45 minutes. The whole time I waited in my car.
Then they came out and arrested me. I had never been arrested before, never been in trouble, not so much as even a traffic ticket in almost a decade.
But I spent 3 days in jail and never did find out what my ex said but they believed him and never asked me shit. When I tried to tell them my side of the story they told me to save it for the judge.
Ultimately, I was cleared of any wrongdoing. I went out and bought a gun and I won't be calling the police for help again. This is why battered women won't speak up about what's happening to them and it sucks. Actually, and probably moreso for battered men, I imagine....

Just for a little history on this case.. these cops were eventually found to be wrong, wrong, and wrong.. Members of the family have settled a wrongful imprisonment lawsuit against the police officers in 2014.
Police agencies have called this a textbook example of how false confessions can occur.
The Lawsuit claimed Evansville officers coerced a false confession from William Hurt after a four-hour interrogation without an attorney present.
William, Deadra and Andrea Hurt were all teenagers in June 2012 when they were arrested in connection with the death of Marcus Golike.
William Hurt was charged with murder, robbery resulting in bodily injury and criminal confinement. He refused a plea deal and was acquitted after a short trial in 2013. The charges were dropped against both girls as well. Which I could tell just by watching this video he wasnt really lying he was just bad at telling a story in the right order and kept trying to fix it and tell it like he thought they wanted to hear. Poor kid. What a nightmare. So glad he didnt take a plea!!!! He could of been facing 65 years in prison if he had.

This guy is literally running his mouth to much. Just be quiet and have a lawyer before you walk in that room. Why don't people understand that. Youre not obligated to say anything. He could've been out of there in no time. Yea they gonna make you sit for hours and wait. But learn to not say nothing without a lawyer.

Classic case of the detectives wanting something to be true so bad they make up shit in their head. They had zero proof it was this young man. The first detective was horrible at his job. He has no interview skills whatsoever. I’ve been in on actual interrogations that were amazing. He needs additional training. When they get false confessions they should be fired.

Detectives are so pathetic sometimes lol.
*Detective -* _'We know what happened, we know who did it. An we know that you're a part of it."_
    *Guy -* "I wasn't a part of it. Wth, that's ridiculous.."
    *Detective -* _"We know that.."_
*Other detective -* _"But you're withholding information, so that makes you a big part of it."_
In other words, they really don't know anything. An they're sweating him over ridiculously minor an irrelevant inconsistencies, that they believe may indicate he's lying about more.
You're lying, because we know that you heard the door close.. REALLY, what cause somebody else told them that. lol I know it's their job to intimidate and implicate ANYONE they can, but come on.. Your "eye contact," *way too much eye contact."* An yet they would totally "call out any LACK of eye contact."
It's almost as though they TRY an push people into making false statements and confessions.

A lot of people specially innocent children and people who are innocent think it's ok to talk to the cops becuase the cops are the good guys! We need to teach our youngsters to not talk to the police to always always have a lawyer present! They need to plea the 5th ALL the time! Poor kid.

  • @JustinOhio
    @JustinOhio 4 роки тому +1

As I watch the first 20 minutes of this....Because the poor kid is innocent and the police keep saying that "you're involved", the kid is totally misunderstanding what the police are saying. He's simply thinking that he has some little piece of information that he's skipping over that the police need while the police really mean that "you're guilty and you need to tell us you're guilty". He's totally oblivious to the situation, and the police are TOO DUMB to even see that he doesn't understand it in the same way that they're saying it. Idiots... Always invoke your 5th amendment right, ALWAYS. No matter what you say, IT. CAN. NOT. HELP. YOU. He thinks that "withholding information" means he knows a little fact and just hasn't stumbled across it in his mind yet.
