Awesome video! I've been waiting to see where the Bushcat magic happens 🤠🤠
Thanks 😄
@@LetsGoAviatecan it be flown without doors? Thanks
@@sledawgpilot Yes, I've flown in one with the doors removed.
@@LetsGoAviate thank you for the quick reply!
How difficult is it to remove them? Is it super windy with them off? Being able to fly with doors of would be a big plus in choosing this design
@@sledawgpilot Takes about 5 minutes to remove per door. So it's fairly quick.
With both doors off it's kind off windy inside, since the wind tends to move through he cockpit. But it's not as bad as most people think, it does not feel like an open cockpit aircraft.
They fly the anti-poaching missions with only one door off. This way there's no wind moving through the cockpit, and it's barely noticable that a door is off, unless you stick your head out.
I recommend to watch the video I did on the Bushcat anti-poaching, a lot of additional info on the Bushcat in there. Its titled "Bushcat Video Shoot", topmost video in the "Flying Adventures!" Playlist.
Etelka - Thank you so much for the shout out at 12:45 to myself (BushCat Darrell) and BushCat Liz. As you know by now Liz passed away unexpectedly on 10/14/2022 and she is greatly missed, not only by me but by many. She loved flying with me in both of our BushCats. We both so enjoyed the week we spent with you and Shawn in South Africa, that was truly a trip of a lifetime. Thank you so much as she was so pleased with and we both cherish the friendship you both extended. I look forward to more BushCat flying in the spring as we are "Snowed In" here in upstate New York.
Love my Bushcat. Took 254 hours to assemble. Now have 85 hours on the aircraft. Received great support during the assembly.
Wow that’s pretty quick. Did you have any previous building experience
The metal bars going across the office window.... yup, it's South Africa alright. Nice factory, nice aircraft.
Great video as always. Interesting factory tour and right on our door step here on the East Rand. Nice to see we are still manufacturing locally!
Thank you! 100% and not just local, but very impressive too.
Very nice video, thanks for making it.
Dear Santa... I would like a Bush Cat Sooooo bad....
I really wish someone would take over production.😢
I'm doing my time in this plane now, in New Zealand with Kevin, the distributor here.
They are a wonderful plane to fly, makes a beginner look like they know what they are doing.
Would love to see one be able to cruise at 100knts though, that would fit my mission a bit better
Nice! Yeah not many economic Bushplanes out there that does 100kts unfortunately.
@@LetsGoAviate well they darn well should!! Lol
One of the main reasons I'm learning is to travel from the middle of the north island to the middle of the south, takes 5.5hrs at 80 knots
@@shanekeat7473 There's definitely options if you can spend a bit more. The A-32 Vixxen does at least 100kts, Rotax 912ULS, STOL, but not a taildragger. A Kitfox, or the plane I fly's bigger brother, the KFA Explorer should get within a few Knots of 100 if you fit smaller tyres and have all the speed fairings etc. fitted.
Another project in the pipeline???!!! Please, do tell!
I wonder why they discontinued production.
I'm not sure, but my best guess is the recreational aviation market really suffered through Covid. And even now I don't believe the market has recovered to what it was before. Unless it's a top selling product, the manufacturers are likely struggling a bit.
Jaco, weet jy dalk of die BushCat vir gilder tug gebruik kan word?
Sorry geen idee
