I laughed when you said take it to a tint shop for the windows! You being so mechanically inclined and overall a diy We know you will be doing it yourself!
I HATE doing tint. Lol. I've done it... I'm just not good at it.. sometimes it's worth it to pay for the expertise. We'll see though... I'm a bit of a tightwad too.
@@NotSoGrandGarage just now seeing this, good quality tint makes a big difference in ease of use. And ceramic tint makes a big difference over normal films. It’s more expensive but worth it. In hot weather you could not hold your hand on the door glass of my motorhome for long even with regular tint. After putting ceramic over that it’s much cooler. I’ll look what the brand is I bought off amazon
Thats pretty impressive! Just the first layer made a huge difference. Will it effect accelerator pedal? What seats do you have. Trucks coming along nicely love the videos
Pedal feel is a little different. Seems to be okay though but I haven't checked full travel. Seats are from a mid 2000s Tahoe that we recovered a few years back. Thanks or watching.
As far as I'm concerned, Second Skin is the best in the game. Certainly not the cheapest option... but I've been using their products for a long time and have always been satisfied. Thanks for watching!
@@NotSoGrandGarage good to know, wasn’t so concerned with cost. More specifically quality was previously kinda leaning towards D.M. But this is an area I don’t have much knowledge/experience with.
@@MechanicalMafioso I've messed with both and I prefer Second Skin over DM. As far as quality goes, SS's is top notch. I have no complaints. I've even used their "B Stock" stuff in the past and it's fantastic.
I went kinda nuts on my Toyota with sound deadening stuff years ago. Each door has 3 layers of a butyl and foil dynamat knockoff and every empty cavity in the cab got filled with minimal expansion foam. It sounds like an old Mercedes when you slam the doors now. It’s even quieter than my 05 Yukon. My mustang is a lost cause on noise reduction with its exhaust since it’s a convertible. As long as I’m alive that exhaust is staying put, it sounds too good to take off. I too am a car audio junkie.. the Yukon is next to get upgrades. All higher end sound quality equipment.
So I did the doors prior to the first video. I never did a full length of the roof but I did a short showing before and after results (which are impressive).

Should do mass loaded vinyl on the doors as your last layer.
I may. We'll see how it goes. Thanks for watching

Are you going to put it on the roof under the headliner? My single cab is so much quieter! Great job! You’re going to happy with it! 👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙏🙏🙏
I can't wait to wrap it up.
Perfect timing, just looking to do this in a 3rd gen 12v swap. Been curious on some of the different brands.

Great Looking Work!!!
Thanks! Loving the outcome so far. Can't wait to get the roof done and the interior back in.

Very nice! I can't wait to button it up and see the finished difference. I may have to ditch the stack and run the exhaust out the back... we'll see.
@@NotSoGrandGarage This made such a big difference that I still have not done the floor.
@slngblde that's awesome. I've still got some work to do in the corners of the cab and under the dash. Itll get t here though
But it's still a Toyota. You need to fix that with a Ford.
I should have watched the complete video before making a comment 😂😂
Lol.. no worries. Thanks for watching!
Any news and measurements about the roof and doors? Did I miss the 2nd video from you?

Do you use all 80sqft of the pro & how much of the luxury liner did you use on the floor?? About to do my bronco…
I'll have to double check but I used everything. Had very little left over scraps. Most of the luxury liner wend on the floor. So 3/4 of it I'd say.
