Loved the ride. When I travel to Santa Clara on the 712. We have one 15-20 minute stop in Merced. Smokers get off tsmoke ad some of the frequent travelers order pizza or other food that is delivered ad waitg for the train to come in. Are there any stops like that on this train?
Thinking of taking the Pacific Surfliner from San Luis Obispo to Oxnard for day trip on March 13, the day after the beginning of daylight saving time. your recommendation the time to take the train.

You mean Coaster not Sounder
The coaster only goes from San Diego to Oceanside. The Sprinter goes from Oceanside to Escondido for your information.

Considering there is only two trains, you should probably do the early morning first train out, then take the 777 back.
What intermodal yard was that ya passed by?
Didn’t realize distance and time so great, just 40 mph avg.
There plans to have the trains go over the 101 freeway and then rejoin the main instead of having the trains back in and run the locomotive around.
Siemens Locomotives, unfortunately, do NOT have soot. Bummer. They’re quiet, too, not like the P42s.
