My daddy went to jail in Greenville SC at a Sam Cooke concert. My daddy tried to get to him backstage. My daddy said he just wanted to touch the man whose music had touched him so much. That was 1962.
Well, I guess the musical change that's gonna come, finally got here and its name is SPUD HOWARD! My spirit started crying before you even got halfway through this. Sam Cook must be smiling down at you from heaven above. Well done young SIR, well done indeed!
You have been singing since a little boy and YOU HAVE GROWN INTO A GREAT SMART INTELLIGENT YOUNG MAN AND THEM VOCALS ARE ON POINT, I'M BEYOND PROUD OF YOU AND MAY GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS YOU CAUSE GREATER THINGS ARE GOING TO HAPPEN 🙌🙌🙌🙌❤❤❤❤💪💪💪💪
I saw Steven with the BB King All-Stars on a cruise ship. He's an outstanding performer. Can you imagine a white guy, any white guy trying to sing that?
I heard Mick Hucknall do it in a club around '97, the owner, an older black fella asked him to do it as a birthday present to him. And it was enough to give me chicken skin, that's one white guy with true tortured soul in his voice. I always said it should be a crime for anybody, regardless of color to cover this song but Spud really does it justice. I just wish Charles Bradley had stuck around long enough to give it a shot. There's also a band called Vintage explosion, the white guy from that band does an insane cover, it's scary good.
Amazing 👏 ❤
Yes , great blessings. Your today and future is bright .
STEPHEN HOWARD IS THE TRUTH!!!! 🤜🏾🤛🏿 🔥
Maybe the greatest performance I’ve ever been a part of.
