I bought a D800E brand new in 2012 while in Afghanistan. Used it all deployment with a battery grip and an 85mm 1.4 lens. carried it when I backpacked 700 miles across japan on foot. It was such a good camera. Too good. Nikon is only just catching up to how good this platform was. I regretted selling it years ago I recently got another one, it's amazing how cheap these are used now. You won't be held back by the camera's performance, good lenses and a good photographer will produce amazing images even today. Thanks for the content yo.
I *just* ordered the d800 and a 50mm prime. I haven't even looked at Nikon since the D60 back in...whatever that was. 2008? I got the body and the lens from two different places for like $600 USD.
I own D800E & Z6 ii.. but I prefer image coming from D800E .. if I use auto mode (S or A) exposure is slightly underexpose for Z6ii.. don't really like metering in Z6ii
Thank you for sharing…Based on this video I purchased this camera for $ 640..00 shutter less than 7400. can you recommend an all in one walk to include 300mm

Thats a wonderful story, thanks for sharing.
Beautiful photos! I really love the colours. The blue skies, the greens are somehow muted... do you have a preset/settings for colour you could share?
I just bought it yesterday, this in my fifth nikon camera

I plan to get one and have it converted to full spectrum.
It is a very nice reliable camera, loads of lenses to go on it as well. Good luck.
