Definitely to used machinery. When you’re just making your way, you wouldn’t normally have the luxury of new gear. Used machinery is fine. Looking forward to seeing where this series goes.
I totally agree, yes to used as it is a part of the base game and to be realistic you wouldn't be buying brand new stuff when starting out. Means you can progress to bigger machinary and equipment quicker but dont necessary get financially ahead quicker
I agree with no rentals or workers to start off with. But I think after a couple years, when he's established he should at least be able to hire a worker.
Renting isn't that uncommon, especially for big and expensive equipment. My grandparents had next to their jobs a small farm. And here is a union for those small farmers that give in exchange for the hunting rights the opportunity to rent machinery for free. They finance that just with selling the hunting rights.
@DaJo where I'm from there were 3 or 4 farmers with ~400 acres combined of corn-bean rotation they all rented from each other to save as we were in a flood area so your profit margin could take a huge hit here and there
Honestly Im neither into farming nor trucks but this one series keeps pulling me back to his channel. I dont know why... maybe cause its 'gamey' enough to keep me interessted and his voice + the stuff he talks about is too good to miss.
Finally! I have been very much looking forward to a new Survival Series. Big affirmative on the used equipment - it is only reasonable when starting out from zero. Thank you so much Daggerwin for the most excellent content you provide.
Cheap good quality mods for your early situations are John Deere 6300 by SleutjesModding, 100hp tractor for $15,500 can add a front ladder attachment for $1500. Nice log trailer is HW 80 wood trailer by Kamilos0397, $3,800. Stoll pack mod has a log fork for $800. Cheapest John deer front ladder for the tractor is $9,500. Everything comes out to around $30,000 when all done. Good luck, love your content you've created. Can't wait to watch this series unfold
The 6300 is in FS19 as well, can be upgraded to 105HP, and also is 4WD, has the front loader attachment for $1500. It is certainly a workhorse for me on my take on Dagger's FS19 No Man's Land. A good Combine for that series was a John Deere for just over $9000 and it has a 3900L capacity. Not great, but better than anything else in that price range and even higher. Also sits high enough for the pipe to clear every grain trailer I've used so far.
Looking forward to this series. 2nd hand machinery is more than logical. Maybe a small chicken pen for food for yourself and some extra cash from the eggs?
Survival Challenge has always been my favorite series, and I always loved having it to look forward to on the weekends. I think that it should be a rule that you can never sell your starting tractor, and I think that used machinery should definitely be used.
Your tents are in the hobo farmhouse pack by Oma Tana it also has a cute cheap little house that you can go into , also the Antonio Carraro pack has some nice little tractors. Glad to see survival is back. Blessings.
OH YES!!!, it's back i loved this series in fs19 and so glad to see it finally return to fs22, just want to say the map you've chose Daggerwin is fantastic, lot's of places to do logging. Also fantastic for building a farm. Can i suggest on this map to build your farm over to the right hand side, when you get the money, it's very flat and you can do lot's of stuff.
I've been doing my own little "survival" game on Holmakra, the logging map. I started out with a Chainsaw and a John Deere 6x4 Gator with a Forestry Skip. I ended up clearing a few good spots and started some crops, but still do a lot of logging, using hires for the fields and cleaning up their leftover mess at the end of the month, with 7 day months configured. It's the most fun I've ever has in FS, and this is the 4th game in the series thats gotten its hooks in me.
The king of survival challenge is back.Been looking forward to this series. I'd say yes to used equipment and go a step further and say The lower repair cost mod should be allowed because the price of repairs is a little bit outrageous in fs 22. A survivalists would be doing alot of the repairs themselves anyway. Great job Daggwin
So excited this series is back. Really enjoy the actual building process from super old and small machines. Great work as usual. Excited to see how many episodes a week and how it turns out
I'm so glad that another one of these series is starting! I binge watched all of the first 2 series a while ago and absolutely loved them! So excited to see the new series, definitely my favorite
if you get a greenhouse when you can afford it and a trailer which carries water then you could ask the shop if you could loan their forklift for a fee of 20 pounds for per hour to load your grown veggies on your trailer for some money and when you can you should also get a mod which has small factories which can make different stuff and if you grow tomatos you can make tomato sauce and sell it and it is great to have survival challenge back i probably should watch the other survival challenges
wouldn't it be nicer to see him drive to sell the veggies than having it autosell? and well there's a mod which reguires water seeds and solid fertilizer or manure to work so he should get that mod so he should keep and eye out which is needed
I’m a simple man, I see a Daggerwin video, I press like. I’m so happy to see a new survival series from You! And yes I think used machinery is a must for this:)
Yes yes yes yes to this series!! Love a good Survival Challenge! Def must be able to buy used machinery, you're starting from the very bottom, can't afford something new every time... Oh, and we looove time lapses, so don't worry about putting too many of those! Can't have enough of them! They're really relaxing to watch. Thank you for creating so much amazing content for us! Makes my jobless days so much brighter! Cheers from Chile. 🤗
Very excited about this! Survival challenges are my favorite. Haut is getting to the "do your chores" phase of the game where I always stop playing. This is new and exciting and $10M is a great goal!
Daggerwin has the ability to make tons of videos of the sort they I get bored with very entertaining, I've been watching you for 4 years and I don't regret it for 1 day! Thank you Daggerwin
Dag, don't try and progress this series too quickly. It has to feel like a natural progression. I know you're pushing to get a crop in right off the bat in the first episode, but that feels forced without even having any money to purchase crop equipment. I know your mantra is to keep episodes different with variety, but don't force the endgame too quickly, or this series will be over before you know it. Keep doing logging for the first ~3-4 episodes to really establish a decent bank account so you can jump into crop work the right way. Love that this series has returned. Cheers.
Always enjoy a good Survival Challenge series! Shame to see you using Super Strength right off the bat as to me it kind of diminishes the challenge aspect of logging at this stage, but each to their own. Definitely go for used equipment too, it adds a certain randomness as to what vehicles and equipment you may end up with and fits well with the survival / challenge aspects. Looking forward to the next one!
They gotta make the mods first I think. There's very few vintage tractors and equipment out so far, at least that I'm able to see on console. But yes, the last survival series he did on FS19 was probably the best of all of them.
The old Antonio tractor has 35 HP... Sells for like $7500 i believe. Does 13 mph vs 12 mph. Viable upgrade perhaps. Just a bit narrow and articulated The jd 6300 pack is available once again too. Couple minor changes from 19. 100-105HP for around $15k 19mph. I also have a 4400 pack from a 3rd party sight. 95-130 HP around $14k doin 21mph Theres also the JD110 on modhub. Comes in a pack. The tipper bed isnt a physics object but it'll haul the stuff it shows fine....wood just falls thru. Its 41HP does 12 mph i think. I wanna say its like ~$7k i think. This is such a cool idea! I think you should really take advantage of whatever sales and deals you can get to survive. I love the idea of a series with a real set goal.
Hi Daggerwin. I'm looking forward to this series. I'm watching your Haut-Beyleron and Calmsden Farm series currently and I'm playing my first map of Haut-Beyleron, all of which I'm enjoying very much. If you are starting from scratch, second-hand equipment is a must. It would be a little bit mad to not go that way. Please stop saying you are 'desperate' for x, y and z. It sounds like you need to go to the toilet for a wazz. Just state your goals and how you think you will achieve them. Keep up the good ploughing.
Would love to see some use of the modular BGA mod in this series, as you can start kind of small with it only buying what modules you need and build it up as you go. Happy to see the survival series back regardless, cheers!
I know u don’t really want another series but what happened to u and chainsaws competitive multiplayer. Would love to see it back in a longer form series

my favorite way of transporting large trees early game: park a pickup truck next the felled tree, then use a small tree as a lever to flip it sideways. You can then "fasten" the big tree to the car, and use the lever to right the car again. Takes a bit of practice, but works with logs up to 3 tons.
Really love the survival kind of gameplay, definitely looking forward to this series hope everyone else feels the same and will support the awesome content.
this series has a lot of potential in both arable and forestry aspect , one advice from my experience the longer you cut the trees the more money you make
Finally, another season of survival challenge. It's good as I binged about 4-5 episodes yesterday of your other series and ran out of Daggerwin videos!
Definitely to used machinery. When you’re just making your way, you wouldn’t normally have the luxury of new gear. Used machinery is fine. Looking forward to seeing where this series goes.

im in my first 7 minutes of the video and im overjoyed with your style of presenting not wasting our time thankyou
This is a really promising start Daggerwin, great series!
2:51 proof that farming simulator has the gigest chad of all games
This map is really really cool I will be replicating this challenge for sure! Awesome video!!
What map is this? Is it availableon console?
my favorite way of transporting large trees early game:
park a pickup truck next the felled tree, then use a small tree as a lever to flip it sideways.
You can then "fasten" the big tree to the car, and use the lever to right the car again.
Takes a bit of practice, but works with logs up to 3 tons.
Love the series. You can get free water from the lakes
My favourite Series! This upload gave me a smile
So happy to see this series back. Yes to used machinery. Nobody could survive when they have to buy all new machinery
Really love the survival kind of gameplay, definitely looking forward to this series hope everyone else feels the same and will support the awesome content.
this series has a lot of potential in both arable and forestry aspect , one advice from my experience the longer you cut the trees the more money you make
Yes !!! a new Daggerwin survival challenge, keep up the great work mate.
Hi Daggerwin. Waiting for survival roleplay thanks bud
Finally, another season of survival challenge. It's good as I binged about 4-5 episodes yesterday of your other series and ran out of Daggerwin videos!
