- The original film has been denoised, upscaled and frame interpolated to 60fps using artificial intelligence. The original film was already in color, so all that was attempted here was the upscale in resolution and the extra frames per second.

Marilyn Monroe Hair, Make Up, and Costume test for her last and uncomplete movie 'Something's Got to Give' in 1962.
tbh from all of her looks in any movies, I think she’s the most gorgeous here! Super laid back, the genuine smile on her face doing a screentest to be an actress
I've always felt that way, too. It's clear 1953 was the pinnacle of her Hollywood manufactured beauty, but for me this is far more beautiful and exciting. She had become a woman in charge of her own life, not dependent on a man, and looking forward to a great future. No performer, in my opinion, has ever exuded the purity of soul she has in her eyes.
I agree people think she was sad her but she looked very 1960s with her hair and makeup which they eyes was very watery looking at the time she was murdered 100% sadly she had a lot gong for her this look was very underrated
@@fostystar36 Yeah
And actually in her few last days
She has a lot of plan to do which she sadly never do .
@@fostystar36 Not murdered. All of you conspiracy theorists are so fucking lame for commenting this every time. It's not even confirmed that she had an affair with John.
Keep in mind Lee Remick is told in a story when she was asked about her and a young Kim Novak to do her part of the movie The Misfits which come to find out wasn't her last movie her last film was Something's Got To Give I think there was a remake of this movie that starred Angela Bissett
This is not a screen test for Marilyn Monroe, who already had the part. These are tests for her hairstyles and costumes before filming starts. The cards with numbers she holds up are the numbers for the outfits or hairstyle she's wearing. Studios would test how clothes and styles looked from all angles on screen before filming the scenes. There's other clips on UA-cam showing MM turning this way and that way so you can see how her hair moves(or doesn't)
This footage is 60 years old and she's still incredibly beautiful and luminous. She's a stunningly beautiful woman here but would be dead in 4 months! Still hypnotic star power! Incredible!
Thanks! I wondered why Marilyn Monroe would need a screen test. Didn't Joan Crawford have to do one for a movie and it was considered an insult to make a movie star do a screen test?
@@debra2700 Yes! She wanted the title role in film Mildred Pierce but the director did not want to work with her so she submitted to a screen test. If you've ever seen the rare Bette Davis film from the 50s, "The Star" has a parody of it. Bette Davis plays a Crawford like movie star in it. Well worth seeing, even just the audition scene!
Something about her beauty is timeless she could fit in any era
The sadness in her eyes is just...piercing through...she deserved so much better
I wish things had been different for her.
Don't think she looks sad here at all
@@coreycanada7104 I said her eyes. Just because someone is smiling doesn't mean they are happy. People have a reason for saying the eyes are the windows to the soul. She said herself that she was generally miserable. She was successful and beautiful but she had been through a lot in her life
@@alwaysdisney2665 I know all dat. So condescending
@@coreycanada7104 me too! I this auditions she seemed so happy for doing It
I mean, you know she was beautiful but this ..... stunning !
I knew one guy who saw this footage, and he said, "Oh, she looks just like other girls." I thought you're blind. Shut up!
Just the way she blew her hair....blew my mind!
Even 60 years after her death her presence onscreen shows why she's so revered. She's so beautiful you can not look away. Her smiles make you smile. Truly a star!
She's a perfect epitome of beauty but there's some sadness in her eyes.
After being in two flops, this would have been her comeback and best role yet. This was her first role as a mother. She was at her best here, looks-wise and talent-wise (emotionally not so, she was incredibly depressed and kept calling out of work). And then she died and the movie never got made. One of the biggest "what ifs" in history.
The movie did get made with Doris Day. Marilyn had shot some scenes for this film which went into archives. They were discovered in the late 80s and edited into a film which aired in 1990.
she already played a mother before
In what movie?
She played a mother in We're Not Married! (1952)
she just got prettier in her 30's......BEAUTIFUL
She just got better looking with every year. So sad that she left so early and young. RIP
she was really beautiful, but she was even more beautiful when she acted naturally, without being sensual, the most beautiful photos of them are spontaneous .
Marilyn Monroe - The most beautiful woman to ever grace the silver screen.
she was in her worst here. you can see the darkness behind her eyes, even when smiling. but she still managed to look amazing, probably never been prettier, but never been sadder as well. she didn’t deserver all the suffering she went trough
She is so beautiful wow I never realized.
She’s so beautiful but her eyes have sadness, I wish I could tell her how smart she was and kind and funny, so much more then beautiful.
Simply perfection!!
When she shakes her head...WOW...just WOW!
I just love her like crazy.. The way she laugh and move that's even makes more crazy for Marilyn❤️❤️ i can watch her all day
Fascinating how much Candy Clark looked like this in "American Graffiti"! She nailed "the look" and had that same twinkle in the eyes. Modern technology has given new generations a glimpse of MM's natural radiance. ThankYou
i thought it was a twinkle also, but then i noticed it was just wonky eyes
@@blameusa7082 She was nearsighted and was perhaps wearing hard corneal contact lenses.. They would have served a "dual purpose", vision correction and color augmentation. I started wearing lenses in 1962. ( It's a wonder I still have corneas )...
This is amazing!! Great work, nice and smooth.
She looked ethereal during her last years. The platinum blonde hair suited her so well! R.I.P
I've never seen anyone with eyes and a smile as beautiful as hers before.
The most beautiful creature that has walked on earth.
The MOST perfect embodiment of feminity ive ever seen in all my life hands down. She was iconic. Bless you Marilyn. May you rest in peace as you have possessed something far beyond your years on earth even into 2023.
Princess Diana and Marilyn Monroe - two beautiful blondes with even more beautiful hearts that captured the fascination of the world. Despite their smiles you can feel the sadness emanating from them. I hope they're at peace now.
And, oddly, both of them died at the age of 36.
@@robertdanielenko7817 Wow I wasn't aware of that.
She would be 94 this year.
And even hotter.
@@audiogus2651 serving Betty White realness. I feel like she would have been the sweetest old lady.
Lol that’s scary but reality can’t imagine her old
perfect beyond words
I love you my dear. You deserved so much better. May you rest in peace. 🤍
Great work. Thanks for upload. Now we can see her real beauty
Most beautiful woman all time in this day i don't see woman like Marilyn Monroe for me it's just te ONE LOVE YOU FOREVER MARILYN 💋❤️🌹🌹🌹
I love her platinum blonde hair
During this final year of her life she was more breathtakingly beautiful than ever. Absolutely luminous!
Timeless Marilyn
It's kinda sad seeing this because she was at the highest of her beauty and if she could have take her time to take care properly of herself and her struggles she would be able to finish the movie and it probably would been one step further to make her being seen more as THE ACTRESS that she really was and her legacy would be so much bigger and longer.
live long the icon of the icons ♡
And what gets lost is that she was never up for an academy award she always won Emmys but never an academy award nominee
Much bigger? She is and will be the GREATEST legend in hollywood history.
She could have been a model ...the camera loves her❤
She looked so much better in her 30's than in her 20's. I'm actually obsessed with this look
I noticed this too. She looked her best in the last few years of her life.
@@BoydS-b3hi dont think so...in her 20s she locker healthier
@@CarolineBaufeld-gv9kk Listen up! I am not interested in what you think.
@@BoydS-b3h she was far more beautiful between age 28 to 36
@@holyempressw8531 потому что ей сделали много пластических операций , до них это была совсем другая внешность
She was luminous!! She literally lit up the screen. ❤
she died on her prettier moment🥺
Vsco gorgeous Marilyn Monroe ❤️
Sad but Marilyn was the most beautiful near the end of her life
Divine
Wow so gorgeous so beautiful glowing inside and out
She just sizzled.
sooooooooooooo! beautiful ! no one comes close .🎉🎉🎉❤
Wow she was so Gorgeous Stunning and Beautiful they broke the mould when they made Marilyn is she saying i cant do this?
She even get skinnier and her hair get lighter, I love you Marilyn, Rest In Peace ❤️❤️
She never looked more beautiful.
Any only a hint of the darkness at the 1:00 point...
Totally agree. She was never more beautiful than in these test shots, never meant to be seen by the general public. She absolutely glows on screen. These scenes are magnetic and even nearly 60 years after death she still has star power like no one else ever had!
Breathtaking beauty, She belonged to the screen!
She had reached the pinnacle of femininity and glamour. A Woman finally in charge of her image and she was doing it her way!
The camera loved her and she loved it...
The swimming pool scene was iconic
I don't know of any other actor or entertainer to have as many iconic moments as Marilyn.
E visto mujeres de todos los medios, actrices muchas de todo tipo de películas, mises de concursos de belleza, mis universo, mis mundo, modelos, cantantes y no e visto a otra mujer, como marilyn!!! Era increíble ella!!.
Such a star
She looks beautiful as ever but her eyes look glassy
She had addiction to prescribed barbiturates which caused her a great deal of problems, especially with concentration. She needed rehab to get detoxed off of them but sadly the doctors just kept prescribing them to her back then.
@0:35 - I WANT that floral dress and those slide sandals!
Incandescent........Luminous .......... No one ever had her sweet innocent sexiness, fragility, the comedic chops and singing talent of Monroe,, Tragically misunderstood. (Said to have had an IQ of 160.)
You should put side by side, original and modified video for comparison
Shes beautiful but man oh man her eyes are so sad 😫
Marilyn's wardrobe and hair style test shooting took place on April 10, 1962. The director, George Cukor was not present.
36 and at her most beautiful - finest looking woman ever
The way she throws the purse on the chair. When she blows the hair off her face and then shakes her head. Beautiful
She looks kinda high in some moments
Who wouldn't be? With that much pressure to be perfect.
not high just dumb
Because she was
@@djsavada7033 Nah, that was just the "Marilyn Monroe" look she did specifically for the cameras - sleepy eyes, throwing her head back etc. She didn't go around like that normally.
Poor Marilyn looks so sad and depressed here. You can see it her eyes. But she was still beautiful. RIP to a legend ❤️❤️❤️
So beautiful.
you could see it in her eyes how sad she is
It’s sad that she died young but in everybody memory she is young a gorgeous forever
Wish you became old and gorgeous 😢 she would have been pretty on old age too
She's at the top of the list of people that left us too soon and will always be young and beautiful in our minds like Princess Diana, JFK, JFK Junior, feel free to add to the list.
@@jeffreyhulman8040jkf🤮🤮🤮
Her eyes are so tired and sad. She feels empty even if shes still working but doesnt make her happy anymore.
The star of the 1963 movie, plays the part of Lila, singing #SGTG across the street from the make believe Hotel Whittier. Theme song of Marilyn Monroe's unfinished movie. A momentum-factoid of Marilyn Monroe's unfinished business.
So very beautiful
60 years ago and she was 36! How good looking she was, not many could say that for that age
MERCIIi divine Dame Marilyn pour ces images de blondeur magnifique....on se croirait dans un champ de blé!...
Vive le printemps
Respect et Admiration
elle est si triste...ses yeux expriment tellement ça. Une femme exceptionnelle.
for the last 2 years i have dreamed, i dreamed that Marilyn would appear in my room and she would hug me so tight. I smelled you and your skin. Gorgeous! She left waving me goodbye... I woke up in tears the 3 times.
INCREDIBILE. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Really cool video but I think it could be greatly helped with a less AI-based denoising for the film pops before running through the AI system.
Inesquecível e belíssima marylin. 😍💖💖💖🙏🙏
its so sad the years go by and no one remebers her
She is one of the most famous people in the world I don’t think anyone can forget her especially when you talk about old Hollywood
well the comment before mine was 2years ago im glad you remember her She was the best
Dwayne chéri mon si merveilleux amour Je t'aime si fort chéri
When u see Her u see me chéri but u know that chéri
Je t'aime Dwayne ...
Count me in the minority, but I've never really thought Ms. Monroe was all that beautiful. She was attractive, but always had that baby fat that made her look somehow immature. However, when they shot this, she'd lost some weight (probably the drugs), and together with superb makeup and those sexy, sophisticated 60's hairstyles, she looks like mature woman at her peak. I think this is about the prettiest she ever looked. In some of the shots, she looks very tired. Or sad.
Потрясающая...
She just lit up anything
Clearly still looked amazing, just before her death at 36
Ну хороша , хороша , ухоженная, холеная , красиво наложенный макияж , супер
Before a decade passed without Marilyn Monroe's vocal chords; I am cast in a school play. The high volume in script of Pinski's Villain of the DOLLAR.
I love
This screen test was in April 1962. She died just 4 months later in August. 🥺
Not a screen test but a hairdressing test. At That stage of her carreer She didn't need any screen test...anyway She was beautiful ...
yea great lady in real life but also was a pro's pro in image, face goop, hair, and had some 'work" done to a '10 "
Se veia esplendida antes de morir pero con su triteza interna.
She was wonderful and had heart, but she had too many snakes crawling around her
Still now she is Goddess of femininity and charisma and great talent. Brilliant actress. Cruel and wicked place where real exquisite persons have problems cause envies try killing it is the planet we live in. But they could never kill The Spirit. So here she lives more greater and greater.
Hotest woman of last century
for some reason i think of the 30s when i think of marilyn, my mental timeline is all messed up. 1962 wasnt even long ago, what the hell

So many say they see sadness in her eyes, it is no wonder! She was working under slave contract again, she had given up her own studio & Independence for Arthur Miller who was jealous of her partnership with Milton Greene and couldn't take her he grew tired of her. She didn't like their dishonoring , she got fired from this movie because she was always late or sick or rarely showing up
What's the name of the music @NeuralNetworksAndDeepLearning? It sounds great!
"Something's got to give"… Frank Sinatra sang it...
@@1953childstarbut the thing it’s not THIS version. Was this just for the movie? It’s a really really fab instrumental
This was the thinest she was ever, due to a gallbladder surgery. She put down 12 pounds. Thats why her face looks so sharp, her bone estructure was amazing.
