    Well my arguments about DiMaggio hitting Marilyn after this scene are: First, why didn't he beat up the director who made his wife do re-take upon re-take of this scene?? Second, he knew full well what was he getting into by marrying Marilyn Monroe ... Third, what was he doing on the set??? Spying on her or making her feel uncomfortable?
    I don't think that spouses should be allowed on the sets just to watch what their other halves are doing for a movie when they're not mature enough to take that as a scene instead of real life... It's also quite weird to know that the same people who marry you for what you are (and in this case a budding superstar), would hate you for the same... It was all insecurity and immaturity on DiMaggio's part... What's the point in sending roses to her grave for the rest of his life!!! If he was so protective and possessive of her, he should've talked her out of the world of Hollywood instead of sitting in front of her on the sets and hitting her when she was done with a scene...Glad she divorced him...

    • @lexirandomania5678
      @lexirandomania5678 4 роки тому +33

      He did try to talk her out of it because he wanted her to be a house wife and give up acting, but she refused. He was a scumbag for abusing her the way he did. He knew she was a star. She shouldn't have to give up her fame just because he's too insecure about being a man or whatever. He should feel lucky he's married to someone as beautiful and talented as Marilyn.

      Both the abusive and divorce and the sending roses to grave have a huge time gap in between. Many things happened around that time. Around the end of her life Monroe and him tried to make things work again, he wanted to be better for her after learning his mistake and willing to be a better person and Monroe gave him a chance for that, which means something. Maybe because she saw that he came to the realisation of his mistakes and is carrying the guilt of it (a person can change a lot in such time). Around the end they were on good terms and DiMaggio was one of the only people with her. Maybe that's why he was sending roses to her grave after his death cause he developed from that degenerate being and Monroe saw that too. I'm not glorifying or idealising him if you think, things he did were completely unforgivable and degenerate behaviour, I'm just addressing the roses part with more information from the story so people can give a clearer opinions. It's about perception if some want to see his deeds and willingness to fix his crooked nature or disregard him for doing such horrible acts.

      Wrong! She DID NOT pose for Playboy. She posed for a photographer who was putting together a calendar, before she became famous. Those snap shots were then sold to Playboy by the photographer to Hugh Heffner for publication in "Playboy".(MM did not receive a penny for this). She admitted that she posed nude (a scandal at that time, but the public took sympathy on her for admitting as to why she did so), because "She had to pay the rent". She got 50$ for what turned out a many million dollar photograph. Her famous quote: "Did you wear anything during the photo shoot?" MM's reply; "Yes, I did, Chanel #5 perfume).

    I think Marilyn Monroe should have got at least 2 oscars for her acting : 1. Gentlemen prefer blondes 2. The seven year itch. It's not easy to be Marilyn Monroe. And I think no stars can ever act the role as "a sexy girl" as Marilyn Monroe. So perfect is her acting that the world adores her until today. And because of her perfect acting, we don't realize that she is doing her acting in the movies. No other female stars are so trusted as Marilyn Monroe to act sexy. O' Hollywood, why are you so blind, why you never respect n appreciate the biggest talent of this actress? If I were an authority of Oscar Award, I would award her with special Oscar. Don't you realize that she is so talented n great? Hollywood should apologize for neglecting her talent but it's not late to give her special Oscar award. She was so great with her invention of Marilyn Monroe n her struggles to be Marilyn Monroe really really deserves Hollywood acknowledgement at least in a special award for her. I am very sad thinking that Hollywood doesn't care about her. Please, Hollywood open your eyes for the greatest star of all time : Marilyn Monroe!
