Two comments: (1) Copper has taken off on the assumption of Net Zero buildout of renewable electricity & associated infrastructure, transmission lines etc. BUT Anas said US/EU have gone off Net Zero which will reveal the investment deficit in oil, gas, coal. So copper may retreat. (2) EROEI has been decreasing since US's end of conventional oil in the '70s, or as Tim Morgan says, Energy Cost of Energy has been relentlessly increasing. The oil price reqd by oil companies to find & develop new production is > the price consumers can pay, hence USD6 US debt reqd for USD1 GDP growth since 2008. Right now, global economy is inflecting from growth to degrowth due to ECoE has become too high for non-debt financed growth to continue. Therefore massive recession/crisis imminent as discretionary spending is relentlessly reduced due to relentlessly increasing costs of essentials, resulting in many discretionary businesses becoming non-viable. As Hill's Group ETP Model showed, the future of oil prices is down, meaning no private non-govt-subsidised funds available for upstream activities. Mankind ha reached crunch time.
