No these are great, for destroying alloy wheels. I have had some success with snow socks on the tyres, but only in soft snow. Compacted ice or tarmac will ruin them.
I think they are meant to help in emergency situations. They would help if tyres are stuck in a pit of ice and when car hasn't enough traction with standard tyres to get out of it

I found the best way to deal with snow. I moved to Florida. Now, it never bothers me.
Maybe there's no snow but there are other worries like the Bermuda Triangle.

I have seen several things that make your vehicle go through snow and ice but the best gadgets are still the steel chains!
Hey Taras here's a nice life hack for you in the snow.
Take regular screws and screw them into the creases in your tires so that they stick out. BOOM instant snow tires with very strong traction.
More like instant tire leak

All wheel drive. No unibody SUVs are rear wheel drive as of now, but Ford is working on one.
Keon R. I beg to differ on that. My 2016 BMW X3 is RWD only, and it is indeed a unibody SUV. Mine is the sDrive28i which is RWD only and the xDrive28i is an AWD model. The 2017 X3 also has the sDrive28i model.

1st tire chain thing is junk, you’re better off using big wire ties but the 2nd and 3rd items are nice to have just in case!
madclown351 I have something similar to the last item in my car for winter. Once tried it on fresh snow to help someone else in a big merc, but they gunned the throttle and the plastic shot across the road under the snow. They might help, but they can only do so much.

The wide yellow bands that you used last seemed to have the most traction. I'd go with them in an emergency situation. Probably want to use 4 on each tire I would think for the best traction.

In my state it is ilegal to put any sort of traction device on your tires to drive on icy roads because thwy damage the road so only 1 I could use is the 1 that you put under the tire when you are stuck

Quick application, I like that1 Your going to have to travel on several miles of slipery road to really put those to the test.. thats when you will have to depend on such a product. you can always dig your way out of a driveway or something like that!

That's going to ruin your tires if you have a heavy car. Just buy winter tires on steelies, their like 300 bucks/set and will last for a few years. If you get tons of snow, buy some A/T tires.
I have chains for my van that work real well, but for front and all wheel cars, these devices work fairly well, but they need to be enough of them to be on all around the wheel to be best effective. By the way Taras, where are you originally from? I'm just curious, I really enjoy your videos, I like your dogs and parrot.
