I can imagine Kevin in the studio going crazy and everyone is like "What are you doing!?" And he just looks at them and smiles "I'm making the OST for Season 3 of Made in Abyss ahead of time." :v
Personal favorite will always be _The Rumble of Scientific Triumph_ .
You quite literally described what is happening as this song is playing out in the movie. Fantastic reaction! I suggested this one in the Hanezeve Caradhina reaction hoping to see that smile on your face when you recognized it at the end. The way Kevin Penkin ties these two songs together in this way, and the way the show ties what the songs mean together in their respective scenes, is brilliant.
When he said "two places at once," I felt so giddy.
This ost also has incorporated "Rebirth" and "Forever lost" inside of it, truly a masterpiece.
I'm happy that you enjoyed it, thank you I was very curious to know, at least vaguely, if this scene was even a bit close to what it made me picture 😭

If you want a completely different vibe from this soundtrack, "Jurimoh Mutation" and "Tozo Hanoline" are great.

If you want something else that delivers on the feels, Old Stories, VOH, Underground River, reBirth, Belaf's Lullaby, and Tomorrow are some suggestions
If you want another side to this soundtrack, there's Juroimoh Mutation, The Rumble of Scientific Triumph, Dark Reg Nightmare Fuel, I AM BURNING MAN, and Indoor Voices are a few of them
Genuinely, this is the best soundtrack I've ever heard for anything, and I could suggest nearly every track because of it.

If you want something crazy like this, try "The Rumble of Scientific Triumph".
Something I'd personally like to see is someone listening to "Theme of Reg", "Reg's Power", "Relinquish", and "Dark Reg, Nightmare Fuel" back to back since they're all connected through Reg's leitmotif.
PLEASE do yourself a favor and react to "Prushka sequence" from this same OST Volume. It is in my opinion one of the greatest pieces of music ever set to animation.

I remember when I first heard this song i thought it was latin or just odd japanese. The i found out that the composer and creator of the anime worked with each other and created a whole new language spoken by a sort of lost civilization, without saying too much to avoid spoilers. Kevin im pretty sure said he utilized a combination of Japanese, Latin and Swedish to create the sound he wanted

The other comments here do give a lot of great suggestions including big favorites like VOH and Tozo Hanolile. To go in a different direction, though, a couple very interesting pieces I see rarely recommended are Tour the Abyss and it's related track Stairway to the Fifth.
