I just walked away with a brand new one, weird you have to pay a 600$ build fee as well if it's brand new on top of the 3500$ but I walked away at 4k exactly for mine
My Dude, I'm 70 YO and I have a Rebel 500, I love that bike. Well today I bought a 2024 Grom. I'm excited I pick it up tomorrow. I'm looking to have an blast on it. Just a note. When you wheelie your Grom you damage the cylender walls of the Jug. Enjoyed the vid man.
Just got quoted $6100 OTD here in the LA area. Suffice it to say, I ain't doing it. Going to have to keep using these videos to ride vicariously through y'all! lol
Found a Grom for 371400 yen ($2600) out the door here in Japan. So keen to get one but don't even have my license yet haha. Would love to whip around on a Grom in the US one day.
I have a local dealer quote me 4580 OTD on a standard and 4890 on an ABS, both 2023. They had a 375 "setup and prep" fee where they have their techs set the bike up and fill it with rec gas. This made me scratch my head...how much setup is needed on a brand new Grom??
From my understanding, not much. There isn’t a ton of wiggle room for dealers to make money on these small bikes. I think that is why they add extra fees, so they can bump their profit margins a little more…
The dealer I went to said they come in a crate and they have to do "extensive" set up on them. They tried to make me pay $5400 for mine lmao but I talked them down to $4800. Still a lot for $3500 MSRP but w/e. I needed to get it so I can commute to work.
I called a place in southern NJ that quoted me 4200. Man, msrp is marketed so hard at like 3,500. Then suddenly there’s dealers fees up to $800!! I could buy a full titanium yoshi exhaust for that and then some.
This is the 2020-2021 model. I had the same. The Grom has a refresh this year in 2023 along with the msx. Paid 1.4k USD for it, a 2nd bike with 900km on it. Still using it till date. Now averaging at 95.4 km/L for fuel consumption. Best errand bike I had.
@@GizmoSheep remain constant speed, below 60km per hour. But must be above 40km per hour. Get to fifth gear asap when starting off from a stop, and remain there unless there is a need to reduce speed to match gears. Do not use brakes. Use engine brake to slow down, or approaching a corner. Brakes kill inertia which would move the bike without fuel, but people usually like to go fast and brake hard, which results in inefficiency. Since without brakes, one would need to master control of the bike more and be more self aware of traffic and to predict them, making one a better rider. Unless facing a emergency situation, use brakes sparingly. Use free wheeling when going down a long mountain, it saves more fuel than engine brake since free wheeling is consuming fuel at idleing rate, it maintains speed or even gain speed, compared to engine braking (doesn't consume fuel but loses speed), arriving at the bottom of a slope but with an uphill slope approaching, one would need acceleration at low gear, which negates the fuel gain saved. This should be done at speeds you are comfortable with, going down a steep slope at 65km/hour free wheeling is dangerous, so keep it around a speed you can manage.

Daniel and Sam. They only have one more Gray one there. The other one I talked about in the video that was a similar price was all the way up in Tremonton.
I just went to buy this exact bike. Out the door price $3898. I’m going to pick it up next week. Edit: We pay our taxes and registration to DMV. It’s not added to price of vehicle. Is that different where you live?
Some places did that to me also. I kept calling places until one gave me a quote. After I got the one quote I would tell the other dealerships and they would try and beat it. I continued this until I found the price I was able to live with.
Just picked up my new 2023 out here in Cali and the out the door price was 3500. I had a trade-in so the original out the door was 4200. The Grom is definitely one of the funnest bikes I’ve ever ridden.
Here in Central Indiana I paid $4,400 OTD . 2022 Candy Blue , abs model. I'm happy with it . Oh and the best part I'm a 65 yr. old man.
Your a legend, im 45 and im still thinking about getting one.

$4299 last Thursday for abs in Nebraska, that included sales tax. I jut have to pay for title, registration

I caved too, don't worry lol. Louisiana with it's high sales tax, I believe I paid $4,600 for mine OTD
