the absence of bacon in the air must be corrected
Have you seen the video of someone and their roommate with bacon grease candles
I was wondering who else came here from that video/reddit post :) I was not disappointed. My question to you sir or maam: did you also come here because you would enjoy smelling nothing but bacon for eternity?
@@Coolestguyfrfrthe person who uploaded this video is probably the guys roommate

You dropped your fedora.
Saw the reddit post but didn't know it was a thing
I use bacon grease for making mayonnaise, but candles work for the bacon fat I have in excess. Thank you! ❤
What's your mayonnaise recipe? Willing to share🎉😊
Bacon mayo is the best! Just gotta be careful with the salt levels.
For the person looking for a recipe I just substitute about a third of the oil with melted bacon fat. You want it just melted. Not hot.
How long do they burn?how strong is the smell?
I use spring clothes-pins to hold wicks in place...
if jar is wider 2 popsicle sticks or 2 wood skewers or 2 plastic knives - to rest the spring clothes-pin on that's holding the wick
Looks good , thanks for sharing ,God bless !
They can also be used for back-up survival food...just lick the hunger away! Have a good weekend.
you terrify me
@@ovecka17 huh?
Very nice job my friend! Love and blessings from Ontario Canada!
Who doesn't want a bacon flavored candle 😋
Hahaha! Scented. Dontcha mean scented?
@@kayceegreer4418 Nahhh.... You can eat them like crayons as well. ;)
@@brngrofdeth .... been a long time since I had a nice crayon....

would wood wicks work (accidental tongue twister lol)
Prolly not. But if you want an immortal wick you can ise Carbon felt.
Love the excuse to make more bacon!!!! Superscore!
Just found your channel I described to it
I bet they smell amazing
They do
So gotta try this. Thanks Skeet
I am not understanding what the wicks are made from. Just cotton string??
Yes!
Thanks. I never knew.
Cool idea thanks
Just before the candle goes out, I hear pigs squealing. 🐖
How solid is the tallow? I have no doubt it burns nicely but usually my bacon grease has a consistency more like butter.
💖💖💖
4ply looks to be the brightest, but may melt down the fastest.
Off to cook some bacon "for science"!
I'm currently filming a time warp of the 3 candles shown in this video and they've been burning for a couple of days now...
@@jiujitsu2000 wow! I figured a few hours or maybe a day max. Definitely going to have to do this
The 3 week actually went out at 1 point and I think it was while I was sleeping so I lit it again you'll see in the video. The time warp is over 2 hours long so I'm gonna have to really do some speeding up in the video editing
Thank you for making this video!
Ty
Very interesting
Cool.
Do they smell like bacon when they burn?
Shouldnt have much smell at all. Most rendered fat is almost odorless.
@@GoldCountryTrapping thanks
Let's be honest, you are NOT searching for this without having seen the story.

Straight bacon grease? It doesnt just burst into flames?
Do they smell like bacon?
I quit cooking bacon in my house because of the lingering smell. How is it with the candle?
smells like bacon for months
How do you store them??? It might be a stupid question to ask, sorry
I keep them in a box on the deep freezer. You can put them in Vegetable tray in fridge too!
do you have a roommate perchance?
I used to. why?
Yum! How did you make your wicks so stiff?
I'm going to make a video on how I do my wicks.
All you have to do is rub it 🤣

Isn’t bacon grease flammable
Yes, makes excellent candles
Why tf didnt you include the burn times?
Are you a Gunners Mate?
Keep those covered and lint free and u could eat that bacon grease when they screw us with fats that we need to stay alive! 😃
I’ve heard they leave grease on the walls and can be hard to breathe around them.
Freezing to death or not having any light would be my concern thank you for this video
Any candle can do that. It's all about maintaining a clean burning flame. Which is all about using the proper size wick for your fuel and candle diameter plus keeping the wick trimmed. A clean burning flame will stand straight with no flickering and have a rounded tip with no feathering or jagged edges on the tip. From my own experiments with bacon grease candles, when you do maintain the wick you get very little bacon smell in the room.
music was too loud
