  • During this segment of basketball the point of emphasis is working on straddling the line at center, dead-ball officiating, have referee crew member(s) gather after a technical or intentional, eye discipline when the ball is not in your primary coverage area, officials coming together with 100% guaranteed information, and rising to the level of game intensity. Lastly understanding when to rotate and the 4 p’s on lead rotation.
    Well / Better / How
What did you do well, what could you do better, and how could it be implemented?
Well - Managing players during high impact, high certainty times, staying poise using Dr. Ken Rivizza technique of finding a folcrum on the court to reset focus, listening to evaluators.
Better - Eye discipline at lead position, referee from the feet up, using the 70/30 rule (70% defense focus, 30% offense focus), trusting co-official call on 50/50 out of bounds plays.
How - Asking questions for 50/50 plays, standing at lead position during trainings, watching film, and feedback from evaluators
    Evaluator: Jonathan Pastusek (Lonestar Conference)
    Mentor: Rochelle B
