I just realized why I like NR so much... they assemble the many disparate threads of history, comics, and the movies into a cohesive and understandable whole, and make watching the Marvel movies that much more enjoyable. Thanks!
10:16 I bet someone has pointed this out, but just in case: this wasn't a deleted scene, this was a one shot that was filmed after Coulson's one shot foiling an armed robbery at a gas station, which Joss Whedon directed. That blew way more than half the budget for both one shots, so they came up with this conversation scene because they literally had the budget for two people talking 😂
Just recently watched Thor and Darkworld again. I have to admit, I did not really care for either of these movies until I rewatched them. I did not give them enough credit the first go round. They are gems!
So 95% of the Easter Eggs identified had been identified before, that can be forgiven for the spin that you in identifying Loki as the true main character and "Hero" of the film. A very interesting twist, filled with merit, especially as you cite other source materials (Henry V, Othello, & King Lear). Nice job!
darknessblade this is what the Disney plus series coming out in spring of 2021 is going to be about, and I’ve read that it is going to directly tie into the Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness movie coming out in 2022 😄
@@catpiratepewe-ah3136 yeah that's not been said in any official way... It's the wanda vision, spiderman no way home, and DS2 movies that are directly tied, unless I've totally missed an interview while obsessively waiting lol
I think Loki is a hero, and I love the character personally. Tom Hiddleston in my opinion plays the character well. And if the movie was called Loki, I wouldn’t have minded. I still think that calling it Thor was a smart choice but by calling it Loki it wouldn’t have taken any worth from the film.
"The icy point on its bottom side, reflecting Loki as the overlooked icy bottom side that's truly the bedrock of all this" Well yeah, we already knew Loki is an icy bottom.
"Edmund is the illegitimate son of the Earl of Gloucester" heavy props on that line haha. I feel like we take for granted some of the lines you've got to read off, but I'm sure we all appreciate it haha
When you do Captain America Winter Solider there is a tie in with Avengers Age of Ultron and Avengers Infinity War involving Black Window and Falcon that no one has ever talked about....
Ya know, I recently rewatched this my self, and sans the blonde eyebrows, now with more context from the MCU as a whole I have better appreciation for it. I wonder if the same can be said about dark world
Interesting that the Triquetra symbol only appears on Mjolnir after Odin speaks the "Whoever be worthy" enchantment, but it shows up on Mjolnir in the kids book Selvig gets in the library
I never understood why Thor was considered one of the worse films of the MCU, while Black Panther was considered one of the best. Honestly to me you could put these two movies side by side and draw so many comparisons
i always thought ironman 2 and black panther were the same story, both had 2 dads with a partner, with a son a piece coming into conflict based on the villain son believing they were entitled something from the hero son. both heros had a high tech partner, war machine and shuri, both helping to defeat the final villain.
I thought you were about to say : I saw Thor the second time and I will reveal some Easter eggs but this video was way , way better than what I thought
@3:02 the hammer has "he who wields this hammer command the lighting and the storm" inscribed on it, does that explain why Cap was able to conjure lightning while fighting Thanos in Endgame?
something I noticed in the first avenger; james montgomery falsworth (union jack)'s costume has pockets and an X shaped holster, which when put together, makes the symbol on the british flag
That "Son of Coul" line is gold.

True
technically thanos is the reasons the avengers exist
I can’t wait till the Loki series cause tom hiddelston is so good
Yep mine too
He’s the reason they exist in Avengers issue #1.
Thor 1, Avengers 1, Thor 2 = Loki Trilogy. It's not even a question.

Endgame: Start of Loki

HOW DID I NOT NOTICE THAT!!!

oh no
Thanos: “You should’ve gone for the head”
Anakin: “You underestimate my power

Truly spectacular stuff. I agree.
Couldn't have said it better myself
I actually liked the idea that "trading his eye for wisdom" was what he'd tell his sons because it related to Loki's origin.
Thank you for entertaining us during this quarantine ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Good job as alway, gentlemen. This actually proves that a lot of the ever fluctuating MCU was REactionary, not quite played out as a solid plan.

What a great insert. Great info and really makes me what to top up on my comic reading. Very relevant.
Great concept of Loki.
For me, Loki was always the hero of the story.
How exactly was he a hero?

With endgame there is a branch of civil war where Loki has escaped. maybe they set it up so Loki gets the timestone and starts traveling trough time

The "First Born" look Freya gives may also be because of Thor's Biological Mother in the Comics is Gaea.
