I know right. It makes me want to have my hair pressed. The last time I had mines pressed was in 2014 and recently I showed in a video of my hair straight in my hair journey video.

nope. Just things that can damage the natural curl pattern because once it is gone you have to cut it off and grow it out new.
Titanium styling tools heat up faster and stronger than ceramic tools which for curly hair can loosen the curl, otherwise known as heat damage. Tierra herself experienced some heat damage from this very flat iron when she tested it out on her hair when she first got it. So yes it does damage the "curl" pattern if the heat is too high, or if it overheats the hair, both in and out of any "shop".

I'm six months natural and I'm not a fan of heat just yet but how much longer can I go before I need to get a trim. Trying to grow my hair out long but also care more about health.
Nikeyia Autry it really just depends on how you are caring for you ends. I just did a trim on someone who big chopped a year ago and her ends weren't bad at all! Making sure those ends are protected + moisturized minimizes splitting
Just when you need it -when you notice split ends. I have been natural for 10 years and that is pretty much when I do it. Or you yourself can do it when you feel your ends are a little rough around 8 months. I know with transitioning everyone is different. I talk about this in one of my videos.

Gorgeous...you did a wonderful job on her hair. I wish I could get in your chair and get a silk blow out. I have extremely thick/coarse hair..it's kind of like your mom (my first video of you that I watched was when you were doing your mom's hair). I'm going to try and do my own trim and silk blow out in February when I take my hair down. You are so good with hair. This is so pretty.

Blexy Kitten my hair did that last time I did it myself. My az dint no wut I wuz doin. That's been bout 2yrs sinc I tried doin it mysef. Now I take my az 2 a dam salon. 😂
This used to happen to me. I have low porosity hair (it takes a lot for moisture to get into my hair). So if you have low porosity hair, you have to make sure you get enough moisture locked into your hair when cleansing & conditioning. Then you want to be sure that whatever straightening product (serum or spray) you're using acts like a seal. Use a protectant before drying your hair and try to get it as straight as possible while drying. This will eliminate you having to do more than one pass with your flat iron. The second pass should be for curling the ends (like you see in the video). But remember the key is locking in moisture during the cleansing/conditioning steps. Basically? Your hair is reverting quickly because the cuticle on the hair shaft want to absorb the moisture from the air around you. Hope this message helps. Sorry for it being so long.

I'm so afraid of heat damage that I have been putting my flat iron on 370. It sucks bc my hair isn't getting straight. What is a good temperature for fragile natural hair?
My hair is fragile, too, but it needs the heat if you want it straight. Any time you add heat, you are damaging it, so buy a heat protectant spray to lessen the damage, and vary it up. Don't always do straight styles, or buy a lace front.
