Frederik Steffensen Yeah don't believe everything you read. Whilst whistle register is used A LOT more frequently above D6, you can still get 5th octave whistles and 6th octave falsetto (the actual term is super head voice). Whistles are light and effortless (it feels like whispering, that sort of effortless). Xtina's "whistles" are far too heavy and she slides up from her head voice most of the time indicating super head voice (you cannot smoothly trabsition into whistle, there will always be a break). Look at Mariah Carey whistling then look at Xtina, Mariah's is light and airy and her facial expressions show ease yet Xtina has this heavy quality and shows a lot of effort getting up there. Therefore Xtina has no whistle. :)
Her studio F5, F#5, and G5 are like the best I'd ever heard.. now we all know she could barely do those notes live but those studio version are legit the best! It retains the tone and color of her voice.. some singers lose tone quality when hitting high belts.. I especially love her carwash belts! Its so underrated
Sorry but no. This is actually 100% belting. Ari doesn't belt 100% she supports with head voice pretty often. Tho I rly like ari's high notes there were only few singers whose careers were played on a 100% belting technique suchs as Whitney and Cristina. Mariah did on her begginings. Ari belts but is not a full belting technique she supports on head voice
Ya know maybe her technique isn't as bad as people say I mean she has been pretty much consistent for 18 years. Pretty gpod for someone who's vocal chords were meant to go like 17 years ago
It’s really isn’t. Her voice is extremely beautiful. She only has two big problems. Low Larynx and Support issues. She doesn’t want to stop the low larynx sound because she likes it. That’s how she produces her growls and overall timbre. The support part is her just simply not knowing the fundamentals of using her diaphragm muscles to sing her notes. But even if she did, she still won’t be able to support bc lowering your larynx to hit any notes causes strain on your neck muscles. It all stems back to one thing, Christina simply wants to have the “Kermit the frog” and Etta James growling type of voice. Her natural voice in “Say Something” is very different from her false tone. Again, it’s her preference. Her voice = Her decision. Her critics use it against her but truth be told, I really believe that Christina just doesn’t care.
@@hannahthompson895 I have a question to ask you. How did you come up with all these nonsense? Having a low larynx doesn't help you at any point in growling, she uses here false cords for that like louis armstrong. So the whole point about it is pretty bullshit, sry for this. And then you come up with all these nonsense about the lack of diaphragmatic support. No one, not one professional singer does use anything else than breathing with abdominal muscles rather than breathing by moving his shoulders in the process. So how is it possible you speak for breath support. I get that you lack some knowledge but there is no point to confuse others with things that you either made up or heard from some youtube vocal coach. I do agree that many of the things she does are unique and stylistic but this doesn't mean she lacks vocal training. The case with her is that she possesses one of the strongest/biggest voices the world has ever seen. So the weight is carried as she ascends in pitch. The proof to all these things that I am saying is train your own voice and ask a good vocal coach that doesn't see things always one way.
Walking Death One of the “strongest” voices in the world? Why are you confusing people with the knowledge that you do not know. She does not have one of the strongest/biggest voices in the world. She has the most strained and damaged voice. Yeah, she sings lie that for style because that’s what she’s known for, but her voice is damaged because of it. She can barely hit anything about an Eb5 anymore. She doesn’t sing from her diaphragm whatsoever. Barely any of her notes are supported. The highest she can constantly support is a D4, WHICH IS BARITONE LEVEL SUPPORT!!! Christina is a good singer, but she’s not a vocalist. Don’t come at this guy from not knowing something, when you don’t know either.
Well, 'dreadful' technique yet 18 years later she's sustaining the same live performances she always has. Pretty long career for someone who was supposed to 'fry her vocal chords' back in 2000.
Few points:1. It doesn't change the fact she strains above a C5 and doesn't support a single note up there.2. She now lips the long E5 belt on Candyman and dodges many others that she didn't used to, so she's got a bit of damage.3. The only reason she's still got most of her range still intact is because she actually rarely sings compared to the BTB and Stripped era's. She's had an average of 4 year jumps between her last four albums, and I don't think she toured for her last too. So the only shows she's really been doing in the last 10 years is TV shows.4. She's had more vocal fails in the last few years than any other time in her career (and that's considering she hasn't done that many performances).5. She's 37, most singers who haven't done drugs or got nodules should still have an intact voice at that age, combined with the factors above. But I can't deny she's got a beautiful and youthful tone still
She actually has pretty good technique your voice doesn't last 20 years with bad technique and obviously her voice is lasting... She would be better with some more support though
It’s funny that you say that, cause her voice actually hasn’t lasted. Of course, she’s still singing, but she’s not hitting high notes, or at least she barely is.
What?? She’s effortlessly sustaining mixed C#5s, D5s!!! And let’s not forget the effortless Eb5s she sang night after night, some pretty well mixed even, in It’s A Man’s World! She may not be hitting upper register notes but that’s okay if she’s slaying the mid belts.
Hunter X Hunter I did what you suggested. I watched her last tour’s vocals. It’s what I thought. She’s still straining all her notes, but her falsetto is still has beautiful as always🥰 but her Eb5s are being screamed out. She doesn’t have to keep that “iconic” voice. She could have changed technique a while ago. If you hear her speak, her voice is super light and high, but then she starts singing and it’s like it’s a different person. By the way, I was right about her voice not lasting. She didn’t even dare to go past an Eb5 and only did an Eb5 once.
Chahe Vartanian I love Xtina but she’s lost like a third of her range. After 20 plus years those notes should be effortless and come as easy as breathing to her. But she struggles on Eb5 and can barely hit E5 on a good day. She needs to prioritize rehabilitating her voice to get back what she lost
MysterMasquerade THAT WAS FUNNY, since Mariah is known for having one of the most beautiful voices in history. Xtina's voice is beautiful, when she doesn't strain, but nowhere near Mariah's.
Huh? Mariah Carey is always straining to sing her own songs. Have you seen what happened at the Dick Clark’s New Years event? The woman only sung one note and kept complaining how there were “technical difficulties” she was caught lip syncing? I don’t think you guys should say “christina sounds like a strained Mariah Carey” when Mariah has various straining issues as well? And she has for a very long time now. That doesn’t really make any sense. It seems hypocritical and pointless.
Her highest belted note she will attempt now is an E5, and they typically turn out strained Eb5 is her highest decent sounding belt D5 is her most reliable belt
She had a lot of potential in 2000 and 2001 ( Nobody Wants To Be Lonely vocals) to have a great technique and endless range but, didn’t quite want to, I think she enjoyed the rasp and brash sound of her belts. poor technique. Even still, she has sang some impressive riffs and especially falsetto notes, very pretty

F6Sounds pretty
Best female singer of all time pop and rock, cheered with Sinead O'Connor, Bjørk, Siouxsie Sioux, and Beth Gibbons. In my upinion. Of whiteys 🤩💖💖💖💖 is that racist? Im joking. Im not racist. Honestly. 😊
It doesn't have good bass, the G2 doesn't, and the C3 at first was bad, but from C#3 onwards it was excellent.

Ain't no other man
This is so wrong, I just heard it for the first minute but almost all of the notes clasified as 3rd octave actually belong to the 4th octave, I mean c'mon how could she sing a G2? She is not an alto or a man. Just go to any keybord and check it out.
Christina is alto by vocal range, but she has light timbre and that's why she seems high voice.
G2 es ella !! Ella es mezzosoprano
