for some reason the 2019 seems better than the 2020, thanks!
Man finally a good car review. Thank you so much
Just purchased an Escape SE today with the 1.5 EcoBoost
Amazingly powerful for a tiny engine.
Already put in 150 miles and loving it.
Nice 👍🏻
Be safe and happy with it.
What about ride quality and cabin noise.
Well, it's been a month and it already has 3000 miles. (I drive everywhere)
My motorcycle has been in the shop and I've been using the escape as a commuter.
On the weekends we take the bicycles out and go toward the hills.
I think the car is awesome for the price, i am now a true believer on the EcoBoost engines.
It corners very well, plenty of power especially when in sport mode.
The interior noise is minimal, but my second car is a Jeep with a soft top and i think i am probably not the best judge for that.
One thing i was hoping to see is better gas mileage, i am a "LEADFOOT" and will most likely not get better than 20mpg, ever!
The kids like the reclining back seats.
The 8" back up screen is awesome, i dont have to put my glasses on like with my previous Ford.
The power driver seat is cool, I'm 6'1" and i can adjust the seat in any position and still have decent leg room in the back.
Love taking this thing to the hills, i regret not getting an AWD, i think it would make an awsome winter car.
It would save me from having to take my Jeep all the time.
BEWARE. THE COOLANT INTRUTION ISSUE IS VERY REAL. IF OUT OF WARRANTY, YOUR LOOKING AT A 5-6 GRAND JOB
Really wish ford would have given the escape the "ST" treatment instead of the edge.
The next gen escape likely will. You need to realize, even if they were developing the escape st alongside the edge st, it wouldn't be on market for long, because the next gen escape would replace it relatively quickly.
I'm with you on that
Surely that's coming in summer 2019 with the next generation.
@@BrendanMacWade lol then where is it?
I tested a 2.0 for a week and this car is great and good steering for a lil suv
Great review as always!
Thanks, appreciate it!
Looks good. You can pick up a gently used one of these for a pretty good deal.
You finally reviewed me! Thanks a lot lol
haha no prob! :-)
Bought one it surpassed expectations. I bought the Metallic version which is straight fire with the black rims.
I trying to find some specific specs about that Metallic Version with Black Rims... no success
This is my Drivers-Ed car and honestly its very smooth to drive!
Love your vids. Always on point.
Thanks! 😁
What year did Ford start making these? I remember having one as a loaner vehicle while my truck was having a bunch of work done and being impressed by its acceleration.
I have the 17 with a 2.0l its a little rocket my only complaint small fuel tank, awesome in the snow with winter tires of course, very comfortable on long drives 9.3l per 100km fine with that for a 4wd 2 ton vehicle in city and highway mixed driving nearly 50,000km and no issues.
No problems at all with the 1.5 accelerating on highway ramps. Visibility is GREAT. SEL with adapative cruise. Mileage has not been great but improving after a couple of fill ups.
I got the 2.5 and I be stomping my car. Lol
I don't prefer the styling of the 2018/2019 Ford Escape. We own a 2015 2.0 Titanium. The 2.0 is a blast to drive. Very confident on the highway to pass along with tow. This is our 3rd Escape since introduction and these are great vehicles.
That's my that's lovely Kardashian to pick i love you so much
Slappayiumvthaasntzzqxjjjc.t,p,atro. Cvuwaqt
i hate that they got rid of the LED brake / tail lights
Great Review 🎉
Awesome 😀 😀 2019 Ford Escape review .
Thanks!
I subscribe to your UA-cam channel.
I have an se and the led lighting is standard on se and up
A salesman with 15 years sales experience at the dealership advised me to stay away from turbo engines. Mechanics have told me the same. I think I will take their advice.
In the future you won't be able to avoid them in an SUV.
@@tommytruth7595 before every car have turbo chargers the world will be dominated by electric vehicle
I noticed the passenger seat is bouncing like crazy while your driving (at very beginning of the video).
The 2.0L is the way to go!
V8 is always the answer.
2.0L Ecoboost rips have one in an MKZ. Love it.
@Deplorable i have an se 2.0 turbo eco boost
Robert a v8 in an escape would be dumb. It’s way too small to handle that
@@Robert-goose1 Sure a big heavy V8 to make the Escape front heavy is a great idea! (sarcasm).
I thought you was about to rap to the intro music. lol
launch date in india?
Great Review Of 2019 Ford Escape. 😄
Thanks! 😁
Just drove from Texas to California in an SE model rental.....we got nowhere near those mpg numbers...average for the highway only trip is 23.4 mpg. Car had 12k miles when we started
Tiny fuel tank meant stopping every 200-250 miles
Would like to see you review the Edge ST
me too! If Bob Ruth gets one in I'll definitely do it!
Just purchased one yesterday. Love it already.
Same
I’ve a 2019 SE it’s amazing
you forgot that they changed the tail lights
Tail lights changed on the 2018 models
Changed again on 2019
I think ford changed the taillights for cost savings. The L.E.D portion on the bottom of the light has been removed. The old turn signal has been tinted red; so it can perform as the break light and turn signal. which simplifies the light, which in turn lower production cost. I don't think they did this for styling purposes.....cause it looks worse IMO.
I hate that new tail lights design... I prefer the old one
good review
Thanks!
You never mention the Sport Appearance Package, which is what you have here. Partial Leather and Black 19" Wheels and trim. I have 2018 SE with this package and panoramic roof. I love my Escape it replaced my 2010.
Where can I find specs about this model you mentioned
@@reikohacker Here's a video about the package, ua-cam.com/video/7piwXYdcUFI/v-deo.html
I have a question for anyone here: If you get the active exhaust on the mustang gt does it make it louder than normal? Or does it only give you the option to make it quieter?
Google it and see what you get!!
Are there anchor/tie down points front and rear?
Its sad i bout an escape a few days ago..and dont even know what trim i have..i just wanted to get rid of my chrysler 200...🤦i will look and see
How is the gas mileage on yours? I recently rented a 2019 SE for 5 days and I found myself making DAILY gas station stops to fill up. Car was driven about 80 miles each day and would burn through 3/4 of a tank. In comparison I had also rented a 2019 4Runner (we were a large group) and only needed to refill once.
@@SquareCircle005 well the dealer filled the vehicle up on a Monday with 20 miles on it and i took a lil trip on the same gas on Thursday and friday i was on half a tank leaving my mileage on 204...🤷i guess ok
May I ask why did Ford decide to cheap out on the tail lights? It used to have nice LED brake lamps and now it has a cheap looking combination incandescent. Is Ford bleeding money or something? It looks like a rental car or a fleet vehicle now.
I completely agree. I think ford is cost cutting on this vehicle because its preparing it for fleet duty. as the new redesign 2020 model comes out for the general public, the current gen will be produce for rental and fleet sales. just a guess though. notice how the 2013-16 had led headlamps as a option but the 2017 to current doesn't even offer it. its kinda sad Ford and GM don't expect consumer to notice their cost cutting.
It is a rental fleet car now
What color is this model
Can anyone tell me which of these engines are direct injection if any? I'm in the market and want to know about carbon build up. I called a dealer and they never returned my call. I can't find the info online
The "EcoBoost" engine is direct injection: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_EcoBoost_engine
We had a 2001 and a 2002 Escape - easy to service and maintain and had over 300000 miles when sold. We now have a 2017 turbo escape that is horrible to service and a pain just to access the battery. New and improved? I don't think so.
I have a 2007 Ford Escape in this color ☺️
Ohhh very old your car
@@loverforever4473 Speaks to the quality, don't ya think? :)
Amber W , ‘06 and ‘07 were great years for some models. Smart buy.
You can get the 2.0 in both the se and sel my sel has one.
What year is yours?
on current model?
@@matthewparks8984 i have 2018 sel with the 2.0
@@njnikusha i was told the 2018 models were the first to have the 2.0 l available on lower models.
@Deplorable then why does my sel have it.
Love my truck so much
I have the sel love all the features!
The SUV version of the focus.
Dude I swear I thought you was about to rap in the first 17sec
I’m leaning towards the new RAV4
Foolish. It doesn't drive or perform nearly as well as an Ecoboost Escape. Owned a few Escapes. They are bulletproof & sporty.
AD O yeah the 2019 RAVA4 look very nice. I think it looks bigger than the previous model, TOYOTA engineers did a pretty nice job with the redesign.
If you want the RAV4, get the adventure.
I have the 2018 SE but mine does not have the large screen sync 3??
petes woodworking only the titanium has this option
On the 2018 SE, SYNC 3 with the larger screen is an $895 option, Then if you want voice activated touchscreen navigation, that is another $795. On the 2019 SE, SYNC 3 is standard now. I have a 6" touchscreen navigation in my 2018 Escape S ....... It's called a Garmin Drivesmart 60LMT :)-
@@sade5280 no i have the 2018 SEL and the 8" sync 3 screen is standard. The Navigation system was an added option. I've also seen the 2018 SE with the larger sync 3 screen.
I really hope a lot of these features and engine options will be available on the new “baby bronco” Ford has been teasing
Not in use 7 seater
I'm able to get a really good deal with Ford but I'm just not impressed with the Escape...im trying to like it..
You ever gone fast in a big car? That is the escape
Not as fast as my mustang... no way i would never have guessed that
It's time for a new escape, it's been around a while
They are coming out with one. It will take design cues from the new Focus just as the current one did. Only spy shots out now, but guessing it will have a slightly more rounded look.
Bring back 2012 v6.
2.0 turbo has 250hp which is plenty
I love me escape cheap on gas
escape sport
These prices are outstanding; Ford will sell 10x more Escape's than Chevy will with their new $50k Blazer.
Tom GM have been disappointing lately, equinox and Acadia looks like they’re about to fall apart after a couple of years owning them. These escapes look solid
I ain't buying that Chevy junk for 50k. No way! That's two fords for me and my son..
Well what a big deception of the escape the only change that I see is the exterior, in the inside is the same since 2013
George Henry foreal That’s why I got a 09 escape v6
And not this bullshit
I didn't know that they have one v6
I have a '16 Escape and there have been interior differences. The '17 has a more conventional shift on the console, further away from the dash and the radio/center controls are different.
George Henry ..... Not exactly. 2017 and up have a different steering wheel and the whole middle console is different with more storage space. 2019 really no changes from the 2018. Ford is getting ready to come out with a redesign for 2020.
I own a 2009 Escape and I'm staying away from the new Escape and Edge. Ford Explorer seems like the way to go and only $4k more. I'll be in the market for a full size SUV in two years, I'll see what's best and slightly used.
I paid less than that for our 2019 Escape SE.
This video is 2 years old did you buy it recently or did you buy it 2019
@@larryfisherman6449 bout it Oct. 2019
Heyo fam, give me a minivan but don't make it too obvious and JUST fuck my shit up.
Ford: say no more.
Bumpin some Kevin Gates. Let's go.
9.5 MPG IS WHAT I READ ON THE DASH FOR THE UNIT HE IS REVIEWING😎😎😎😎😎😎
@GoLie AtTheHelm He was accelerating. It all averages out in the final analysis.
The 9.5 is the average mpg over the 33 mile trip since he reset the trip meter
Mine shows real-time mpg on display as I drive. Shows lower mpg uphill and higher mpg going downhill. It all averages out.
3 different engines available. Shows pictures of the same engine for every one. smh
RAV 4 CLAIMS TO GET MORE MPG
Japanese cars always do
They do but with only and 14 gallon tank and a bit of change
This video was very informative however you need to get your fact checked. You stated that remote start is standard for SE, and SEL and that’s not true. I have a 2019 Ford Escap SE and I do not have remote start.
Its standard equipment.
I was thinking about buying one of these and when I saw how ugly it is I went out and bought a 2018 last night because that new one is just awful looking
It’s the same style, lol
The 2020 Escape looks awful in comparison.
S is just hideous
People that drive these crossovers press their brakes at green lights.
Mansa X lol what
@@natpeterson9735 lmao, you know when vehicles are approaching the intersection these crossovers always press their brakes while the light is still green as if they are expecting it to change or something. While the good drivers accelerate in case it changes. Ijs I don't see ppl that drive challengers and camaros pressing their brakes at green lights lmao
Mansa X Haha that’s true
@@MansaX
I drive a 2014 Escape. I don't step on the brakes at a green light, but I do let off the gas and take a quick peek to my left and right to make sure some dumb shit punk isn't texting while cruising on through his red light. Yep, you guessed it, I'm an old duffer, accident free for over 45 years of driving. Believe me, I have seen more than my share of people running red lights that would have surely hit me had I not taken that extra heartbeat to look.
@@nix4644 I'm test driving the 2018 titanium, the new technologies from the 2018 are nicer than the 2014 titanium I currently have, but the interior isn't nicer... I might just modify the 2014 until they get more gutsy with the design.
Isn't time for Ford to redesign this thing? smh
Hamid Ghazi They probably will for the 2020 models, as Ford is going to redesign a lot of their popular vehicles like the Explorer. The Escape is definitely one of their best sellers.
There will be an all new 2020
can you speak slow please
Nice looking car but the interior......
All I know is the 2019 Escape design sucks ass.
So dated
Interior? big time
How one can choose this ugly boxy thing over Fusion or Taurus ?
Sure we can’t argue the sales figures but damn what an unpleasant era to car lovers.
All too practical oriented.
No fun!
Looks dated... Im in the market for a small SUV/Crossover but this is sad. I would love to support American car companies but they're just not compelling or exciting.
Nothing is compelling or exciting really. Bought a 2019 Hyundai Tucson, not very compelling or exciting, looks nice and comfortable. The european models are much more exciting.
I got rid of my 2015 Titanium Ford Escape and traded it in for a 2018 Toyota Rav 4 after Ford started endorsing the NFL kneelers. When I wrote Ford, they said they stood behind the protesters, so I did my own protest and started boycotting Ford after over 50 years of being a Ford driver.
Ha! That's why I bought an Escape! I got a Titanium 2018 with everything on it including the panoramic roof. I'll need to buy my first tank of gas soon. I actually ordered mine so I could get exactly what I wanted, no dealer had the stone leather interior, only black and I didn't want black. It took about 6-7 weeks before I took delivery. 💙
Well that was dumb of you😂
Mike Malone Toyota is a Japanese Company. Do I have to remind you about December 7, 1941 and Pearl Harbor. So your upset by The NFL kneeling protest because it’s not Patriotic but you give Toyota a pass on Pearl Harbor? Just Saying if that is how you make car buying decisions it seems wrong.
Wow well your the clown of the year.
Yeaaaa Ford, so proud Of Them 👍♥️!!! Good to know!
