Yesterday got a new faux fur blanket I put hair conditioner on it with a wet wash cloth with a cold hair dryer and that softened it even more. The wrinkles not out completely yet I’ll use it on hot, thanks!
Sorry to hear about the hat! It's worth giving it a shot- you may be able to straighten the fur out and get it unmatted, although it might not get its shine back.
