The issue with balancing the gauss hog is that it requires its counterplay to be made by a competent player or team focusing it down in the case where such a player is not present, whereas most subpar players can easily get multikills and streaks with a gauss turret. Essentially the gauss hog need only 2 players to coordinate, countering it relies on the opposing team to coordinate, ie. Best way to drive on this map, 1. Don’t drive through the both spawns at the front of the bases 2. Don’t consistently drive clockwise or anti clockwise on the map 3. If the enemy team has their base near the trees use their hill, it is one of the most OP spots in halo as a) makes it hard to throw grenades as it typically is thrown too short or too far where it’s off the cliff, b) it covers majority of the enemy spawn 3.
