911 is definitely the big brother but the boxster is better for ragging around the B roads. If it weren’t for the kids and the back seats I’d go back to the boxster
Very well presented and extremely informative; I think these are some great tips for more ‘modern,’ useable Porsches that will retain value and go on to be future classics. My interests lie in slightly older Porsches but I can fully appreciate why you selected the cars here.
Maybe it’s just me but I don’t get how you can mention the Cayman 981 without mentioning the Boxster 981, the sound with the roof down is stunning and great fun, the GTS is very special and you don’t come across them often, I wonder how they will fair with there six cylinder engines?
Nice list, owning a 981 GTS and 981 GT4 I would say we are on the same page 😊 I'm tempted by the 911 991.1 GT3 but too scared to pull the trigger. The 991.2 GT3 will be sweet in a few years 😋
I'm keeping my eyes on GT4s. Now that they're stopping the NA Cayman I think they're going start going up. 991.2 is a great car and hopefully should come down a little more
@@michaelmich00 you can get a 981 well maintained for about 10k less than a 60-80k mile 718 in the market… shows you that the 981 is more sought after than the wet fart. Opinion of most multiple Porsche owners like myself.
I bought the 991.1 GT3 three years ago and i love it and almost drive 40.000km with the car.
Went for a 2018 718 Cayman GTS Agate Grey with extended leather and Alcantara Carmine red stitching 17,000 kms and absolutely fantastic.
Lovely stuff and great colour as well!

My friend has a 997 GTS rwd manual with carbon brakes. And sub 20k miles

Thanks for watching and I appreciate the kind words! What era of Porsche ticks your box?

haha sorry, I'm a bit biased with the Cayman as a I've owned one. Agreed the 981 Boxster is also a fantastic car!
Nice!
The best for the money 911 right now is the 991.1 and honestly in any trim
I'm a big fan of the 991. They're very good value here in the UK

Paint to sample Porsche hold their values? I didn’t see you talk about those cars
No agreed, they do. This was more about specific models. I keep looking at Guards Red 996s as there aren't many in the UK
981 is 90% 911 in structure and chassi😊
I've seen a few videos breaking this down. They share a lot more parts than I first thought. I really miss mine...
981 is bang for the bucks!@@WiseTorque
Own a 981 S 2016.. ❤
I have a base 981 with fvd headers and Fabspeed exhaust stage 2 tune, it sounds amazing!
@@Swolecat17 My son has one of these, great engine, fun car 😀 It was an absolute bargain given the original owner went to town on the options.
even the 718 iaa good, because the 4pitter is porsche original motor and the last gasoline cayman
But it sounds like wet farts. I love my 981 because the flat six sound cannot be replaced or ignored despite being down on hp/torque.
@@esvignettes7592 thats just an opinion. also last models always go up more longterm
