I have the new vanford A 2500 lightest reel I ever owned . I have mixed feelings at the moment . It flex real bad on big fish ! … bass fishing it’s perfect , took it Spanish mackerel fishing it flexed almost every fish I had on .
On one hand, they're kind of pricey. On the other hand, my 2500 ci4+ from a decade ago runs great while I've gone through several $60 Pfluegers in that same span. Money today vs money over the years! Plus, I live near a Bass Pro and they take a rod/reel trade in every spring which knocks about $50 off a reel the price of a Vanguard.
