Delidding is only necessary if you redlined your ps3 for years and by then the console isn’t even working by that time most likely. Thermal paste is prevention. Delidding is cure. And “prevention is better than cure.” So just keep dusting and cleaning, correctly utilising the fan speeds if youre emulating older games and adding thermal paste over time and the console will live for a nice long time.

However when I tried to reformat again my usb flash drive to NTFS, my ps3 doesn't recognize the flash drive anymore. Tried reinstalling IRISMAN and did your step by step tutorial again but still undetected. Is there anything that I'm missing? Would be glad to hear a feedback from you Mr. Blaine
You can try multiman just on the toggle fat32 to ntfs i think and you can download the package files one by one or select them all so while its copying you can do something

Just wondering if you have any ideas that would help this issue, I've had irisman running on my ps3 routinely yet sometimes I'll boot it up, activate hen, and then when I launch irisman it will have a black screen and then freeze. Any chance you have had this issue or can look into it?

Do you know how to get the package files for PS2 games over 4gb? PS2 Classics GUI works great for encrypting and getting the package files from the ISO that are under 4gb, but it won't encrypt for games OVER 4gb...
@@jacobhartmann1050 Hey mate.. been a while since I did this, but from memory use an exfat drive and irisman, find the file browser tool in the main menu of irisman and navigate to your USB drive on the left side, select the game directory on the right side, highlight the file you want to copy and open the menu with whatever button it requires and hit "move". I believe that's how I did it. Then when it's moved onto your hard drive you can highlight it and hit install. You can do multiple ones at once. I may have that slightly wrong but I think the broad strokes are there. Exfat holds files over 4gb, irisman can see the exfat drives. I had to use an exfat 32gb USB , couldn't get a plug and play 500gb drive to work.

Is there a way to use PSN features only in some PS3 games? I looked up something called NOPSN but there's basicly no guides for it and I'm not sure if it works or not. The game that I'm playing is called Assassin's Creed Black Flag IV and it has a very, actually extremely important feature that the game introcudes in about the first 2 hours of gameplay a "Fleet" that let you gather all sort of cool items and plunder, money etc. But it's only for PSN Accounts. I can see it without an account but I need to connect to use it. Thanks for helping us with the cool and very helpful videos.
@@CygnusX1123 Thanks for sharing. I'm not sure if it is really possible but it may be. To somehow fake or create a own PSN type server like a localhost for example. Computers can LAN and host themselves. Like if I play Minecraft a Multiplier game and said that I want to play alone I would be still using mutiplier since the game isn't a singeplayer experience from what I know so it's still mutiplayer but also singleplayer. It's not the same thing but what if the game is tricked or have an actually ported server to unlock such feature. We do have PC release that doesn't really seem to need internet connection but I think and hope that this will be true. This is just my opinion and from what I know seems to be a way to acheive it.

Hey So I have a Question because I wanna do the reverse of this, I want to put my Ps3 Games into my PS3 Back them up and then extract them to my NTFS Drive and play them on my PC, as I get better performance on my Ryzen 7 5800x and 6700XT GPU and was wondering If I could extract copy the ISO to the console Extract them with Multiman and Then transfer them to NTFS using Irishman to play on my computer for the performance benefits and community patches, and Complete avoid having to split and decrypt them on the pc side

I'm tryna install ratchet and clank collections in ISO. I transferred it over from FileZilla and mmcm. And when I try to start it with Irisman it just goes back to xmb with nothing

Did you know in Windows 11 if you hover the mouse pointer over 'maximise' on an open file it'll show various presets on how to show it! Your welcome 👍🏻

Having issues with my 4tb external drive. I followed the steps up until filemanager in irisman. The drive is ntfs formatted yet doesnt appear
2TB is the maximum for internal, 1TB for internal.

Just copy the PS2 pkg to the PS2ISO folder. In the package installer on the XMB it should be under PSN files.

Just change it to nfts. You can’t have files over 4 GB in an EXFAT usb

did you format your usb as an NTFS drive on your pc before putting it in your PS3?
Maybe too late but you have to change your USB disk to MRB instead of GPT.
