Well Mr. Garrett that violin was the essence of the music in Venice in the 18th century, imagin you walk trou the street (calle) and hear that spectacular sound come from the palace on the Canal grande, i think was unique like Venezia. Cremona was until 1797 with the Republic of Venice, that was the land of Venice, and where i work in Peschiera del garda we have an original Venethian fortress directly from 1553 ;) i wait you like a special guest on board on my gondola.
