    great driving on your part, but i do agree this car is a bit confusing...the power level is pretty wild for such a short wheel base...so OK have some throttle control but then they put this awful ESC that has this weird built in delay that makes it even harder to manage...it's almost like a turbo lag. cool car for $150 but will make me second guess buying any of these random brands regardless of reviews. literally noone in the 4 or 5 reviews I watched mentioned the throttle lag, i wouldn't have bought it otherwise

    • @philiprccars4340
      @philiprccars4340 8 місяців тому +2

      The stupid throttle lag is because of the crappy radio they still did not update since the 1/16 scale range came out without the GPS radio. They then scrambled to get a radio matched with the cars without the (redundant) GPS system of the first 1/16 Hyper Go's which is still a complete flop. My MJX 14210 V.2 that came from the seller with the Dumbo TX/RX combo does not have the annoying delay neither in forward or reverse. All my 1/16 scale MJX Hyper Go's with the OE radio has the annoying lag but only in reverse because the rear totally redundant and annoying adjustment knob needs to be fine tuned to stop lagging and braking going forward, but no matter how hard you try to fine tune it, the lag in reverse does not go away. So my MJX 16209 will also be getting the Dumbo X6FG receiver soon.

    Yeah people complain that a truck or a car is not fast enough and then when they get a car that's fast then they complain it's too fast. You never make everybody happy. That's why the MJX company should just keep them fast.

    I hate to say it because it’s so obvious, but why put it on speed run settings and then complain that it has to much power to make it useable?😅😂 For its size and in the skate park you should have used the 2S pack. It would have been a lot more controllable. We’re you using the warp setting on 3S? That’s just for speed runs. I don’t think it’s the turd that a lot of people are calling it. It’s a good entry level basher and put on some street wheels and you can get 50-55mph it becomes a good engineer speed machine. It’s also not that brittle plastic that tend to smash on impact. Also a fan of all the spare parts they set you up with. It’s the most versatile machine for the money. It’s definitely better than many of its Chinese counterparts.

    I have the MJX 14209 and it is a screamer! I've only run it on 3S once because it is just way out of my skill set to control. Even on 2S it's usually run on 70% mode. It's more fun to rip them around than it is to just destroy them. I ordered the MJX 16208 based on how rock solid these trucks are, and man they are affordable! All in with free shipping during the Aliexpress sale, the 16208 was just $ 81.45

    It kinda seems to me like running it on 2s would solve a lot of the problems people seem to have with diffs and damage in general. 45mph power is no joke in a 1/14th, it's a lot of small parts being put under a lot of pressure.
    Entirely up to people what they do woth their RCs, but if it's too fast and powerful for the wheelbase then put a lower voltage battery in it rather than moaning about it. 🤷

    • @rcguygarage
      @rcguygarage  6 місяців тому

      I hope your moaning comment isn't directed towards me or is it?

    • @MrLilredmachine
      @MrLilredmachine 6 місяців тому +2

      @@rcguygarage not really, you are, after all reviewing it and showing it's capabilities under various circumstances. However it is common among video comments on the MJX series to bash them and complain that they aren't as strong as they should be, whether it be drivetrain or structural. Most of these people are also using it in the setup where it is capable of nearly 50mph. Which is an awful lot of speed for a tiny vehicle, nor is it the ideal setup for bashing.
      Landing on power in a vehicle that has the wheel speed to do 30mph like most minis is very, very different from landing on power on a vehicle that has the wheel speed to do 46mph. As is the capability for the height reached during a jump for one setup vs. the other. The laws of physics govern both equally after all. Very often the expectations of RC'ers is at odds with reality.
      TL:DR, the majority of problems with this vehicle are fixed by using it on 2s. And changing the ESC. 😂

    • @rcguygarage
      @rcguygarage  6 місяців тому

      @MrLilredmachine very well explained👍💯 I don't think I consider myself a reviewer however I feel as though it's just showing the personal experience. I don't know guy maybe that is a reviewer who knows 🤣😂

    • @MrLilredmachine
      @MrLilredmachine 6 місяців тому +2

      @@rcguygarage I've watched a fair few of your videos now, I like that you are a straight talking experienced RC'er that gives their impressions of a vehicle with little filter. I disagree with you on some points and agree with you on others but overall I get the impression that you aren't 'reviewing' something in the way a lot of other UA-camrs would, where things don't get mentioned and issues are skipped over or they won't get the next car from that company as a freebie. That's nice, and separates some of my favourite channels that I actually watch/listen to from others that i watch just to see how a car looks on video, or because they get it a couple weeks early. (Double edged sword there)
      As a last word on the little truggy, I just feel that because something CAN do something, it doesn't mean it's built to do it all the time in all situations. If you want to do 46 mph then that's great, 3s it, take it to some tarmac and let rip. If you are doing heavy off-road or big jumps (or a skatepark), then a 2s and 30mph+ really should be enough for such a small car. It is for everything else. Hell, a genuine 30 mph 1/10th RTR is considered pretty fast, and more than fast enough to break itself. 😂
      Keep trucking and I'll keep watching mate.

      Putting larger tires on a vehicle INCREASES the speed. That's not gonna help newbies drive better. Anyway, I owned one of these and what it needed was not bigger tires, but wider A-arms. I couldn't find any of those so I used 20mm wheel hex extenders. After that it was significantly less squirrelly.
      Just slapping bigger tires on doesn't solve the width issue. Puts more strain on the drivetrain, draws more amps, drains the battery faster. That's what bigger (and \ or heavier) tires would do.
