I wish for these suggested improvements for Miss Earth too as I love to see this pageant to become even bigger and brighter. Still, I continue to support Miss Earth no matter what.
The vietnam edition last year was glossy yes, but not as ebtertaining as the 2022 edition....and i agree that it is the camera angling in every philippine edition was lacking.
It's time for carousel to pass on the pageant to young leader s like their former queens Angelia O and Karla H to run the pageant tapos iyong mga executives for approval n lang cla sa budget
For the love of God there is absolutely NO EXCUSE for Miss Earth to not have interpreters. Year after year after year they fail in this very basic need.
I do agree that Miss Earth needs to tone down on their advocacies at the expense of coronation night quality. Because it is a beauty pageant, first and foremost. That's what people remember (or resonate to) at the end of the night.
@@bluewolf4789 I think She's referring to the social events, activities, and projects that promotes ME advocacies that the ME winner and three elemental queens usually attend or will be doing after coronation. Not necessarily the advocacy itself.
@@ellenampeloquio2183 I (or he) was referring to spending more time or money on coronation night rather than advocacies. I think that's what you're referring to as well, unless I'm mistaken
@@lilpenny1982beauty for a cause? That "advocacy" is the reason why ME has partnership with the UN, WHO etc. It's because of the advocacy of why ME was created. Just watch pageants that focus on coronation night.
@@lilpenny1982Yes. You're not mistaken. It could be one reason why ME never had a "spectacular" shows since they could be saving for the travel and project expenses for their Queens. ME is the only pageant that includes it's runners-up in their post pageant events and whole year projects. That's why MGI has great productions, (I must admit, except the circusy intros and movements of the girls). They really threw most of their budget there. But you seldom seen their winners perform projects and attend events. Particularly promoting their advocacy which is stop the war. You can't consider last year when Nawat came here with his queen and all of the runners-up exactly at the time ME 2022 was occuring that time. Obviously, his real aim is to overshadow ME. (which never happened.). I think it wouldn't be bad Naman if they put just a little more budget for the production.
In my Opinion, ME management are all Oldies they need young ones. They need to hire young nad fresh minds.
@@lilpenny1982 They had a cue. I've watched all of ME show since 2001, obviously they have. It's just a matter of delivering it in your own artistry and communication style. But even if they do have teleprompter, which I think they do, (well, it's in Vietnam) it still depends on how you will deliver it naturally, and not obviously. The female co-host obviously lacked practice or rehearsal, especially with James. Even the voice over sounds cringy. Pinoy hostings are really, on most occasions, the best among Southeast Asians . Real talk. If you know and watch SB19, well, though they're already amazing, they still rehearse.
People don't realise how expensive it is to host an international pageant with 85 candidates. This is just a conservative estimate on how much Miss Earth 2023 would cost to TNT or Carousel Productions (without any sponsorship money): - Accommodation: $200 x 85 x 21 days = $357,000 - Food: $150 x 85 x 21 = $267,750 - Transport: $5,000 x 3 buses x 5 days = $75,000 - Activities: $5,000 x 3 events = $15,000 - Stage and Production = $50,000 - Ancillary Expenses: $25,000 - Total: $789,750 Let's round that figure to $500,000 because you have to take into account sponsorship money, license fees and ticket sales.
Conclusion: To ask TNT and Carousel Productions to improve everything else like Miss Universe whilst costing them $500,000, I think is absurd and irrational. Miss Earth does not have the same budget as Miss Universe and it never will. Miss Earth can only do so much based on their budget. Because of this, it has to sacrifice on things like less cameras, smaller stage, 1-2 interpreters only (Spanish and maybe French), no HD photoshoots, etc.
I think Filipino vloggers should get off their high horse and look at what's real. If you want to scrutinize an international pageant that should be at the level that you want it to be, have a look at Miss International and Miss World who have been around for more than 50-70 years. Miss World apparently has multi-million dollar sponsorships and license fees but yet their stage and production are not that good. When was the last time Miss World overdid Miss Universe in stage and production?? Once or twice only?? #smh
You are missing my points. Improving some segments of the show is only one area. There are other ways to improve its branding without spending too much. I hope you watched the whole video.
My suggestion is hindi na sana magmadali mag announce ang host kung tatawag na sila ng contestants para magkaroon sila ng time na ma i showcase ang beauty at poise nila on stage wearing swimwears and evening gowns ! Please please please HUWAG MAG MADALI MAG ANNOUNCE !!!
Good suggestion ung kasama ang social media manager.. infairness adam pinag isipan moto.. sa Miss international kasama lagi si stephen sa lakad ng reyna.. kundi man at least lagi nya kausap at close nya sila kaya maganda ang updates niya lagi.
I think it's because Miss Earth is owned by a Filipino company and thus all pageant vloggers from the Philippines have the freelance to scrutinize Miss Earth like they own it. Whereas instead of praising the good things about Miss Earth, they highlight the bad things instead. This is what they call "double standards" in the Western world. And in the Philippines, they call this the 'crab mentality'.
@@lilpenny1982don’t worry, I will make a similar content about Miss internarional in the near future. Since I am still so high from my Miss earth coverage last month, hence I am doing this content.
MGI acquired 6 Million followers in just their 10+ years presence. Whereas ME has been doing it for 23 years and they only have 300k followers on Instagram. That speaks volume of how important it is to have influence in your fans as a pageant platform. The hosts were clashing, the music is dead no excitement, the swimsuit round was a messs mess messsss why would you directly go to swimsuit round right after you get called in for the next round? Miss Earth will be down the hill if they dont strengthen their weaknesses as an “ENTERTAINMENT” firm.
May Pinoy at vietnamese.
Loraine, et al. are so firm with their ways. They will never change. To elevate the ME brand or to remove it from life support, there must a drastic change such as a change in ownership. Sell ME to Vietnam!
