I agree with you master. since I stopped listening to one track over and over and over I just started doing it the next morning when taking my kid to kindergarten I catch more possible mistakes. Doing auditions again and again I started to hear false glitches. And so the mind is rested, the ears have rested and it is much better.
Same here, since day one , drove me crazy always finding small mistakes, after i bounced and uploaded it somewhere. Think while following the playhead our brain focuses not on the hearing of the "now" , it uses all senses to figure out and be prepared for possible upcoming tasks
Mistake number four has destroyed so many track for me. But man this whole list i pure gold as far as advice goes. I have done all of thes so many times and its been holding me back a lot.
You've got so many good concepts to work with. I'm just now experimenting with sound design and one shot sounds which is awesome. Now I'm also looking forward to working on multiple tracks even whole album at once, and not over listening. Also being more multdimensional about where I'm getting my sounds from, not just mostly my own samples. I had been working with the idea of putting around 60 hours in each track, anyway really appreciate your ideas.
Always impressed how you seem to cover pretty much every aspect of the topic you focus on man, this should be the intro guide for beginners (and advanced!) producers everywhere! From my own experience, over listening to your own track also makes it feel like that that is ''the way'' it sounds. You're inclined to not change it anymore, which really puts the breaks on improving your track
#2 is great advice. End users don't care where sounds come from; they only care whether they like the track or not. #5: If you start a track, finish it, even if you think it sucks. You only learn how to complete tracks by finishing a lot of tracks. And accept the fact that not all your tracks are bangers.
Wow ! You dropped this topic on time :D i'm actually struggling with a prog track and your advices just pointed ones of my weakness. Thanks a lot :) Greeting from Paris
You are not alone, those 6 points have been my weak spots for years. Finixing them I became much faster and I got ridd of frustration and making music become fun again.
@@EClipChannel your expérience and your ability to share it makes me feel really good because i love your Music and you are a big inspiration since the very beggining of my psy journey 15 years ago. So glad to produce with advices from my favorite psy artist. I arrived at a level that allows me to understand what you say about producing, composing and djing. Im going to buy your courses to improve myself and support your great work. Ty !
Yes, after getting the child and setting up the new life, it feels super nice. Also, I just recovered from burnout and felt the power to hit it hard a few more rounds.
It's been beneficial for me to work on more than one track at a time. Say 3x tracks. Because if you're focusing on one track the entire time, it's easy to lose focus on what sounds good and like you said, you start to hate it. When you work on more than one track, you give your ears and mind a chance for a rest to listen to something different, and your mind isn't fixated on the one track. You get to constantly cycle through tracks with fresh ideas you used in the previous tracks. Thats been my experience anyway.
Ah, sorry for not being a bit more clear, ai always work on 4-5-6 tracks at a time. I didn’t mean on finishing track at once, I just thought of not finishing them at all.
Always consistent, uncompromised, relentless... Thank you for being you, brother. ❤🤘
I agree with most point except for the kick nd bass part as I feel it gives a good direction nd solid foundation, although changes to it will be need to made as the track goes develops but if u make it right in the beginning maybe 10% tweaking is needed afterwards... Solid advice tho loved the video 🔥✨
From my experience there are many changes. Another POV is that it requires more time if it’s not the first thing. Doing it while having other elements showed much faster in my case since it’s being designed and mixed at the same time. This way I always find end frequency on the exact place it needs to be, also targeting the exact emotion of a track (deep, uplifting, punchy, groovy)
Yuuup I've done this a couple of times and yeah ur right the depth, punch could be altered once the elements r there but idk why I still prefer to work with KB first cuz the foundation gives me nice direction to work with.
Aha! Yeah, if I had known this earlier, I would have saved a ton of time. I probably got sick of 60 of my tracks, all unreleased because of listening-exhaustion. What I do now is export every night, and listen to the mixdown on my next studio session. One time, fully. Then I write down what's bothering me on a piece of paper, with the time codes. I pause, write down "0:28 hihats too loud" (for example), and I have a list of to-do. Structure is what I'm struggling with the most at the moment, though. Have fun eveyone!

Same here. It was my main issue why i got depressed sometimes. Now i only listen one time! 😁😃
Love your hair in this one 😁 Wild!
8:40 the truth!! every track gets better. thankyou e-clip
Most of them does. But I see many people scared to finish the tracks.
I barely got through the first tip, pure genius!

I did as well, and now I see many people falling into the same hole, that’s why I wanted to make this video.
