He is a gamer, fantasy characters are featured in many games.
The author of the books is sort of famous in the fantasy genre if you want more casual books with romance in them. I think that most people who read fantasy at least know her as a name. I think Rudy really shit on her books with her description. It is definitely not her best series but she make them sound even shittier.
If you're talking about Sarah J. Maas, she's an awful author. Her writing is super juvenile and literally the only good thing about her books is the hot guys.
@@9lyss9 yes, I dislike her style of writing but she sells a lot of books and there isn't only sex in them, most are considered young-adult.
I have read a big part of her books (not all) and she is very repetitive. She is fine in building worlds (not really like some of the top fantasy authors but still) but fails in character development for me. Her male characters are over-sexual and too dramatic, which is a big flaw for a lot of female authors who write usually cringe male characters and use words that no male will ever use. Since I read the books on my language (also read some in English) a lot of time she uses the same words over and over again, in my language, this is considered as a poor writing.
@@todorivanov4753 No, it's not about "style" or any of those excuses, she's much worse than most other YA authors. When I picked up her book for the first time, I thought for sure she was a new amateur author publishing their first book or something.
Calling her a fantasy author is crazy. Guess you don't read or something bc the only reason people read her books is for the boys. Otherwise it's pure garbage - that's objectively judging the skill of writing. She writes and describe things like a middle schooler.
@@9lyss9 fantasy is a genre, she writes fantasy, she is a fantasy author. I highly doubt it is just for the boys, her books overall have really good ratings and this is from a million voters on GoodReads. She will never be considered a top fantasy author but she sells and this is what is important for her and the companies around her.
