So there are cultures in remote parts of the world that still practice cannibalism so by your logic should you stumble upon one of these locations well they should just bon appetit. You're just a people-pleaser dude.
That is not a fare comparison, dog is an animal just like a pig or a cow. If we had a habit of keeping pet pigs than we would crusade for people to stop eating pigs. Humans eating humans is not just a morality thing but it is actually a health issue. A lot of sick people have died in tribes because of human meat consumption. I can't recall what it was called, but you could look it up. Nasty condition it causes shaking and ends in death. There's even video of these poor buggers.
Dogs are not people
Biologically species shouldn't eat each other like 98% of them will get sick and get diseases. This becomes a public health hazard as those diseases are transferable. Different from eating dog or cat or horse etc.

Dogs have evolved to be companion animals. That's the difference. I agree that there are cultural differences and some countries don't eat cows because they're sacred but we aren't all stopping. I just feel like dogs have evolved to be companions. Their whole existence is for companionship. Not for food.
Anyway, I can see both sides, I just really love dogs

I ate dog meat in Korea, it was like lamb. But that aside, nobody eats it in Korea anymore. Me and my friends were the only people in the restaurant and we are all foreigners. You even need to call and order the plates as they take a few days. It has fallen massively out of favour and that’s ok.
Well they’re pretty Americanized it makes sense they’d get away from eating dogs 🤣
So basically they had to kill a dog just so you could have your "experience".
i visited korea for a summer when i was 13. 1998-1999 ish. my cousin asked if i wanted to try dog meat. i said fuck yeah! i was down to do anything. then his sister chastised him and vetoed the idea lol. edit: they also had a really cute small dog named myungmyungi at their house

I am on the Koreans' side on this one, whatever remaining support that fight these fetishization laws. Fetishization on animals is out of control over here. America used to have a proud tradition of long hunting (primarily hunting after pelts), and chasing bisons into buffalo jumps, which one record shown a commercial bison hunting party used 500+ dogs to chase bisons, and that is also okay!
