I can confirm that elongating the holes works. I had to mill the holes up to around 2cm(0.78inch). Alignment is spot on :) Thanks for sharing this info MrBoost, it was very helpful!
This helped me out so much finding new info as I’m building my own I have a full crv swap already have my subframe on 💯 just waiting on a build lower end
And me having done the AWD swap with front lower crv control arm with crv suspension front and rear. Got much trouble with the front and still have way to much camber in the front, i look like a drift car lol. I got the same problem with the rear end as you have, i tryed first all crv stuff and it was even worst than your, the crv suspension in the rear was binding like crazy, it was scary. I then used rsx control arm, then crv sprindle assembly. For the sway bar i used the CRV sway bar with crv link-kit that i put in reverse so it bolt on it, but it touch sometime the axle. I got problem with the axle too, i had to use 2 left crv axle since the right one is way too long. The car run, i got to the alignement shop and cannot be aligned, yea i got 1 degree offset from the toe arm, so today i my own way to solve this problem and what i did is i took out the toe arm and flip it upsidedown, you get like 1/2 to 1 inch more however you cannot bolt the 3 bolts since only 2 bolt align. I now seem to be toe-in so i will be able to align next time. For the last bolt, i will solder a flatbar to the tip of the toe arm and drill a hole and bolt the last bolt. For the front i might have to change the suspension top plate for an ajustable one but that's for another time. I got the same idea as you for machining the hole but then i told myself to find another way.
What's funny with my build is that i have like 11 inch clearance so i can move under the car without hydrolics jack. But i think about adding 2inch spacer in the rear because with the crv suspension the wheel are inside the fender... and look gross
Hey brother, thank you for sharing this video and your knowledge and experience. I found your other video about your thoughts on the S1 built spindles. I was about to pull the trigger on those things myself but not no more. Thank you.
If I may.. will these other options hold up for x amount of dig pulls @ 800hp .. I ask because man I’d be happy to pay for the extra help via face time whenever I need it.
Wth is going on? I remember way back when I first bought my 06 RSX I wanted to do an AWD conversion. Everyone thought I was crazy and said it couldn't be done for a reasonable cost/time. Now it's 2022 and it seems like everyone is AWD their RSX lol. I watch the K20 engines/k24 frankenstein's with SC or turbo get 600HP+ easy but if the platform is FWD it's kind of pointless.....now with AWD I say gimme gimme gimme! Lol. Thanks for the tips. Goodluck on your car!

@blckevo8 Hello brother thanks for your vids! I watched them so many times to learn the way you did this. I got myself a 02 Rax type s. I found the hole element Awd conversion, and was wondering if element and Crv are interchangeable? Since the guy who's selling this told me i need to cut the axels? If it is to much to ask shooting you some questions by email or any other way? This is my dream build and im doing everything by myself! Thanks Isaac Here!
@blckevo8 Great, i appreciate it man! Im not from here so... Does 1400$ for the hole AWD swap worth it? I might do N Box gass tank or true focus fabrication gas tanks. I think I heard you say that the same could go for an EP3? I'm doing a complete swap for a K24 and want to go AWD as well. This method will work just as easily or should I just buy the hubs? I want to do the 5 lug conversation off the Type s.

Thanks for the info brother , hopefully you make a full in depth video from start to finish of the conversion in the future
This helped out tremendously and saved me some bucks. I'll be going this route as I all I need are the 1310 joints and some small miscellaneous parts
You can also use a stock element driveshaft
@@blckevo8 yeah, I have already bought the freelander ds with it's vc. The rear is what I'm missing and this helped out alot

Wow, nice advice there. It's not good loosing out on the original manufacturer geometry especially if it upsets the car.

The ep3 arms sit in the right place with the CRV hubs You just need to watch out because it widens your end.
Still debating if I should awd my 06 rsx type s
only thing about the AWD build I don't like is the fuel cell. if they did a better gas tank feature I'd be all over it
You can use the honda N box and just create a false floor while still maintaining the stock fuel cage
@@yosh_tuned does the interfere with the diff at all?
@@JonnyShertz it doesn't. It's a perfect pathway with plenty of room. Tuning with nick did a step by step vid as well and what all he used.

What year crv are the rear trailing arms from?

Trailing arm rsx ,spindle crv and crv hub?
& for the handbrake cable any modification?
Sorry my english is not good
Yes and ebrake bracket needs a little adjustment but works
Thank you very much
What fuel system did you use? Also what about driveshaft?
Great info! What are you doing with the welder down there?
So at the end was this the best option? I have crv trailing arms but would prefer rsx ones due to that inch space

Does cutting the brake bracket effect the structure and strength of it???
Not in a meaningful way

Well done mate
At 5:40 you said front bolt and pointed somewhere to the rear. Which bolt are your referring to and what do you mean shim it?
I could be wrong, but I believe he means using the technique of using shims, but with washers instead. It's where 1 of the CRV parts meets an RSX one.
Have you had any problems since doing this if not I’m finna do it to my rsx
@mrboost how did you get the crv spindles on the OEM rsx read arms? When I’m trying it seems like I have to stretch out the part where it going In
