@@beginization I had 1972 mk 111,only mechanical problem I can remember was a broken valve spring,valve dropped into combustion chamber. Rubber drive shaft couplings didn't last too long,but main problem was rust.
What a shame they didn’t show you under the bonnet, you could have eaten your dinner off the engine, but also the modification to the engine running twin SU HS’6s on a very neatly engineered original inlet manifold using Dolomite Sprint carburettor mountings and carbs.
Better than new. Our 1966 GT6 Mk1 never ever looked that good.
